Issac Asimov wrote an interesting book about the Bible ( as well as a book on Shakespeare's plays and a Chronology of the World).

If it wasn't buried in the garage under junk I would pull it out. Asimov wrote a wistful introduction that surprised me. Something to the effect he envied those who believed. He was a great guy. He oozed honor.

I would argue that Europe’s problem, in this context, is suicidal immigration policy, a suicidal attitude about borders and national sovereignty and national identity, an odd generalized self-loathing (as a practical matter, wherever it actually comes from) of it’s own culture and traditions Axe

It all comes from the self loathing doesn't it? I keep going back to Orwell's Animal Farm:

All pigs are equal only some pigs are more equal than others

All cultures are equal, only some cultures are more equal than others - as long as they do not represent the culture that gave birth to us.

Funny, orthodox muslims have zero loyalty to the State. Their State is the Caliphate. Yet the self loathers of the West hate the faith of their ancestors which declared render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, along with doctrines of free will, and redemption that allowed the development of the highly successful culture and free nations they are rapidly deconstructing while they chomp up the remaining crumbs of past wealth.

post 9/11/01, there is not much coming from the fems regarding the matter of the Islamic subjugation of women.

You know, if there were a (white-run) country that treated blacks the way Saudi Arabia treats women, could you just imagine the screaming on the Left? For my money the Saudis treat their women worse than South Africa ever treated its blacks. Yet one hears nothing. It's not even on the feminist radar screen.

This was always my favorite Mo' cartoon. It was Michelle's site where I first hooked up with it after not being able to find the cartoons anywhere. That is when I started my daily visits thinking her courageously brilliant. I have not been disappointed.

What's the uproar? The Danes and Skandalnavians are way ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to sexeducating their three and olders. Sheesh. It's a lutheran country, after all.

HMMM. What do you make of a "Religion" started by a man who was having sex with a NINE YEAR OLD, whom he married at the ripe old age of SIX? What do you make of a religion started by a man, who himself felt that he was possessed by the devil? That would be what the "Satanic Verses" was all about, right? If you have any sense at all, you "man-up" and pick a side, OUR side (for the liberals). You stop calling this satan inspired system a "religion", you stop "respecting" it as a "religion of peace" and you throw the members of CAIR in the nearest dark hole! That's what you do. BTW how many members of the terrorist front group CAIR have to be jailed on terror related charges for the Bush (dumbass) administration, to put them on the terrorist WATCH LIST? Oh, that's right they're too busy giving CAIR a motherfucking TOUR OF AIRPORT SECURITY!!!!

They aren’t so much dying out as being killed by their own ideas...

So, succinctly, I argue PC is killing Europe.

And the United States, of course, is coughing rather a lot lately.

Saw this nifty image on a satirical Dutch website last Spring (as graphic designers and amateur artists mocked the EU self-censorship during the first wave of the MoToon riots), so it took the Mohammedans a long time to catch this hommage to the prevy predilections of their pedophile "prophet".

Or, as the "perfect man" himself put it: "Lego my nymphette!"

(Maybe they need to rename the "Al-Qur'an" the "Al-LOLITA"?)

Oh yea, and do you get a prayer rug in the box or do you have to provide that yourself? I guess you could cut one out one of your father's hankies or something. They really should label those boxes better so you know exactly what you are getting.

It doesn't say anything on the box about getting swords to kill Kafir's and other assorted infidels with, are those available seperately? And, you gotta have a horse or two, no way you can conquer the world on foot.

heh. preempting Entelechy:

an odd generalized self-loathing (as a practical matter, wherever it actually comes from) of it’s own culture and traditions

I constructed that badly. Sorry; it was complicated. I meant to point to the complete contempt European cultures, in majority, seem to currently have toward what I called old world thinking, The Cube and the Cathedral, as lamented and reported by European conservatives who frequently post here, none of whom I hope I've offended.

I only had a post. I'd do better in a book.

Yet I wouldn’t have anyone forget that, overall, muslim family orders are working better than the West’s. This is true in the crude, but decisive sense that muslims are reproducing and rapidly increasing their numbers, while for the most part, western peoples are aging and dwindling.

It took me forever to figure out why I disagreed with you Kralizec. It was "underneath."

Isn't the problem in Europe more significant than that of the United States in that context, and isn't the problem in Europe an insane immigration policy that basically says: we're so very sorry for that whole colonialism thing, but we've thrown out all that old world thinking, and we have a new order now, so please come in and by all means keep your ideas an attitudes and way of life?

I would argue that Europe's problem, in this context, is suicidal immigration policy, a suicidal attitude about borders and national sovereignty and national identity, an odd generalized self-loathing (as a practical matter, wherever it actually comes from) of it's own culture and traditions, and abortion: turns out ending pregnancies as a matter of birth control mysteriously controls births. And so on. They aren't so much dying out as being killed by their own ideas. Muslims reproducing would be of no importance at all (present day, this context) if the rest was attended to.

So, succinctly, I argue PC is killing Europe.

So, succinctly, I argue PC is killing Europe.

And the United States, of course, is coughing rather a lot lately.

Let us not lose sight of the fact that a lot of these Muslim families reproducing at high rates are doing so on Western dimes, they know how to use the welfare system for their own ends. They don't have to worry about insurance and other costs,it's all taken care of for them by the bleeding hearts.

Kralizec,
Guilty here. We are empty nesters at 40 and have only one child in college. I work for DFS and see all these poverty level women having child after child, but here we only had one because for many years we didn't have health insurance and didn't want the debt of the medical bills. Of course, we are blessed to have the one, but to do things over again -- we should have had more. Oh well -- we're praying for several grandchildren eventually:) That was a lot of rambling just to say that I agree with you -- children are a blessing:)

but I doubt very much that muslim men are permitting their women to remain childless until 40, 30, or even 25 years of age

Kralizec on October 15, 2006 at 4:28 AM

I remember in the summer of 2001, there was a mini-uproar by feminists regarding the burkha in Afghanistan. The tv show 7th Heaven raised the subject. However, post 9/11/01, there is not much coming from the fems regarding the matter of the Islamic subjugation of women. Is it because men will have to be men to deal with the issue?

When I had my first baby at the age of 20, I was looked down upon. I separated from the military early to stay home with the baby, while my hubby brought home the bacon. Although former friends my age sneered and raised their noses at this arrangement, it has worked out greatly for our family of six.

Waiting to have a career and to be self sustaining before having a child is a wise move. It is a societal goal. But it doesn't always work out that way, and in my case, my family is better for it.

Mohammed's a figure ripe for satire, and his marriage to a prepubescent girl is a perfect subject for gross-out comedy. Yet I wouldn't have anyone forget that, overall, muslim family orders are working better than the West's. This is true in the crude, but decisive sense that muslims are reproducing and rapidly increasing their numbers, while for the most part, western peoples are aging and dwindling. I haven't seen any discussion or statistics on the subject of muslim women's average age at first childbirth, but I doubt very much that muslim men are permitting their women to remain childless until 40, 30, or even 25 years of age, as is so common in the West. So not only are muslims having more children, but they're probably having them earlier, in which case their children reach adulthood sooner. If those adult offspring, in turn, also have children at a young age, then not only is each generation larger, but the interval between them is shorter.

Yes, Big Mo's taking a child bride of six or nine years is fine gross-out comedy, but westerners have the opposite problem: Women drift along for ten and twenty years after completing puberty, totally fertile, yet totally barren. That seems fine as a matter of individual rights, but as a mass movement, it's become deadly. So far, there's been no one with the brains and balls to put a stop to it.

Isaac Asimov said no such thing.

That's true. That's why I said "Or as Issac Asimov would have put it in The Three Laws of Religeons:" Meaning that he didn't actually say this. I paraphrased him. Poorly, I might add. Par for the course, I suppose.

Christoph:
His nonsensical “laws of robotics” don’t relate to religion.

EFG: Well, there isn't a litteral connection, Dude.

Christoph: EFG, face it, there isn't any conncection.*

Oh well. I guess I'm stuck playing Walter Sobchak in this imaginary dialog...

I'd play, SilverStar830, and was looking for an angle, but SouthernGent just brought it way way too close to ugly; knocked the wind right out of my "smart-ass" sails :)

I've never really understood the whole marked, second-tier, my word counts as one-half his word concept until this moment. It's so foreign, it never even came up in my thinking. It's not that I didn't know about it, I just never thought about it.

These guys would mark me. They mark people. They would mark me with a pig. They mark Jews in Israel in those textbooks with pigs.

I'll need a slogan too... hmmmm

"Don't Lose Your Head... Forget The Jimmy-Hat, Get A Dhimmy-Hat!"

I'll have to work on that slogan for awhile me thinks.

Who wants to invest in my Dhimmi-Hats?
