With the crap I’ve seen the last few weeks this hardly surprises me. We have “conservatives” selling out to the Dems and falling for every stupid trick they pull out of their hat and now that disgrace, Cindy Sheehan, is nominated for a Nobel Prize.

In an effort to render itself completely meaningless and out of touch, one of the candidates for the Nobel Peace Prize (otherwise known as the ‘Leftwing self congratulatory stupidity award’) is Casey’s mom, the Sheehag.

I have been silent on the Gold Star Moms who still support this man and his war by saying that they deserve the right to their opinions because they are in as much pain as I am. I would challenge them, though, at this point to start thinking for themselves. Iraq DID NOT have WMD; Iraq WAS NOT linked to Al Qaeda and 9/11; Iraq WAS NOT a threat or danger to America. How can these moms who still support George Bush and his insane war in Iraq want more innocent blood shed just because their sons or daughters have been killed? I don’t understand it. I don’t understand how any mother could want another mother to feel the pain we feel. I am starting to lose a little compassion for them. I know they have been as brainwashed as the rest of America, but they know the pain and heartache and they should not wish it on another. However, I still feel their pain so acutely and pray for these “continue the murder and mayhem” moms to see the light.

So Cindy Sheehan uses the “absolute moral authority” MoDo bestowed on her to accuse grieving mothers of being callous, bloodthirsty dupes who may or may not have the right to their own opinion.

Because they don’t agree with her.

In her world, that “Get out of jail free” card only works for her.

So, no, I don’t find it “encouraging” to see her getting any kind of recognition while she gets a pass for the hateful bile she spews.

don’t you take some comfort in knowing that if somebody as simple as she can have such an impact, that maybe you, or I, could maybe have an impact? I find it encouraging.

The only reason she was “successful” in getting her message out was because she had a ready, willing and able MSM there to help her. Had she been conservative and a supporter of the WOT, she would have been swept under the rug. And Greggie Boy, you know that’s true.

However, I do find it encouraging that this mom who lost her son in war, and started by herself in her battle, has managed to come so far.

While you may dislike her, and I’m not going to try to change your opinion there, as a fellow American, don’t you take some comfort in knowing that if somebody as simple as she can have such an impact, that maybe you, or I, could maybe have an impact? I find it encouraging.

Really… Okay, let us compare Saint Cindy Sheehan’s actions following the death of her son Casey in Iraq with those of another family that lost a son in the war, Joe and Jan Johnson. By the way, Saint Cindy’s son, Casey, and the Johnson’s son, Justin, were in the same company and best friends.

Sheehan has called Muslim radicals who killed the two soldiers “freedom fighters” and camped outside President Bush’s Texas ranch demanding to meet with him, becoming a MSM phenomenon in the process.

The Johnsons, on the other hand, still support the war and while they have availed themselves to the MSM, the media has shown little interest in them. Probably because they prefer not to make attention whoring spectacles of themselves.

The Sheehan family has been torn apart by Cindy’s actions, and she and her husband are divorcing. The Johnson family bonded in the wake of the tragedy, and come together for reunions at least once a month.

Sheehan has accepted large quantities of money and gratuities to speak about her son and against the war. The Johnsons have refused any money but speak freely when asked to.

Justin Johnson’s final resting place has a headstone and is decorated with flags. It is a small plot of honor to him and what he believed in. Casey Sheehan’s has not even a marker.

The Johnsons tried to contact Cindy to talk about their sons, who became best friends after they met at Fort Hood in Texas. But Sheehan calls the Johnsons “brainwashed” and refuses to interact with them.

Cindy Sheehan cavorts with, and praises, foreign dictators and hate-for-America filled despots. The Johnsons cavort with Americans who support… America.

They nominated the wrong encourager(s), GregH.

Reasons to think she’ll win: she knows the right people, she’s grief-stricken, or at least as grief-stricken as anyone who hangs out with movie stars can be, and she’s fantasized publicly about killing Bush.

One more, and very intense reason, is aADS (anti-American Derangement Syndrome). Chances here are very good, indeed.

Any member of Congress could have nominated her – could be Maxine Waters…

It has as much value as being nominated by, say, the U.N. for an award. Increasingly it means nothing, nada, nichts, rien, niente, and in Swedish, intet.

Her version of “peace” is hating Bush enough to want him dead and swooning over Hugo Chavez, Che, Castro, et al. If the current definition of peace means hating good and loving evil, count me out. Call it The Nobel Hate Prize.
