Look up Axis Sally and Tokyo Rose. Both were convicted for making radio broadcasts for the enemy in WWII.

Such is NOT constitutionally protected speech, because there is NO FREE SPEECH exclusion in Article 3, Section 3 of the US Constitution. It reads:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.

Gadahn is “giving them aid and comfort” by willingly participating in enemy propaganda advocating the destruction of America in support of the enemy, and qualifies to be charged for treason.

In my mind, we don’t treat treason seriously enough. Jane Fonda, Jim McDermott, and Sean Penn are examples of others who have assisted an enemy — and have given them aid and comfort in direct support of an enemy.

It is my hope, that upon conviction, they publicly broadcast his hanging.

Perhaps they will consider other candidates – those that committed espionage when they leaked sensitive information to the New York Times, and perhaps even “Hanoi Jane” Fonda for her active aiding of the North Vietnamese.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on charges being filed for these people – it would be hazardous to your health.

The United States Government needs to protect it’s own intersts to a greater degree and with more diligence.

Breaking: Adam Gadahn to be charged with treason

Why? What has he done?

…he’s appeared in three separate Al Qaeda videos in the past three months and was doing English-language voiceovers for them as early as 2002.

This? This is treason? This is constitutionally protected free speech! Since when in America do we jail men for this? What ever happened to I may disagree with your opinion, but I’ll defend your right to say it to the death? If this un-American and un-constitutional indictment goes through, it will have a chilling effect on freedom of speech.

Now I understand that some of you may not particularly like what this young man has to say. (Who I must hasten to add, has never been convicted of any crime in a court of law. And who was active in several academic decathalons while simultaneously serving as student editor for the yearbook in high school. And was custodian of the keys for the audio-video club.) But who are we to judge this man for his sincerely held religious convictions? After all, if we violate this man’s religeous freedoms, aren’t all of our rights in danger? Isn’t this what our founding fathers came here for? So they could worship as they saw fit? How can we deny Adam the same first Amendment freedom of religeon and speech that George Washington fought for?

Ladies and Gentlemen of HotAir, I submit to you that Adam Pearlman is no America basher. That is a vicious lie and blatant misrepresentation. Adam doesn’t hate America. Adam loves America and is a patriot. After all, wasn’t it Abraham Lincoln who wisely pointed out at the Battle of Gettysberg that dissent is patriotic? And since dissent = patriotism, isn’t Adams embrace of Al Qaeda really just a red white and blue expression of Constitutionally protected patriotism, just as much as flying the flag? Doesn’t his dissent make him the biggest patriot of us all?

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me remind you that at this point, Adam has never directly and personally participated in a Jihadist beheading video. Those people who have are the true villans, who were goaded and prvoked into senseless, yet strangly understandable violence. Adam has several times condemned un-Islamic violence and stands ready to do so again.
