Outstanding response! I gotta go check out that Conservative YouTube link.

EFG on October 6, 2006 at 9:07 AM

Great Vent! Hey, if they ever do give you the boot, I will post the video for you, and I’m sure there are hundreds if not thousands of others who will as well. In fact, that may be a project you might be interested in. Post a downloadable version here and at MM.com and let everyone download it, then upload to their own YouTube accounts. Folks could always used keepvid.com to snag the video, but then you need a program to convert it, etc. and that’s more trouble than a lot of people would bother with.

Where can we go on YouTube to find your videos? I could probably find it myself, knowing I’ve been linked there before but… I’m lazy.

RightWinged on October 6, 2006 at 9:11 AM

Forget it Michelle, you are asking Youtube to think. They aren’t capable.

You have unreal expectations.

Wander on October 6, 2006 at 9:11 AM

haha, I actually figured I’d search ‘michelle malkin’ just to see if I could find any videos you posted, but expected a bunch of people posting your Factor appearances (which I got), but the very first search result was interesting. It carries you to this video. Which has the description:

Vote for Hottest Patriotic Babe at http://www.tvclips.org/poll

Michelle Malkin, FNC, 8/7/6 …

Additionally in that first page of search results, we have this classic clip.

RightWinged on October 6, 2006 at 9:18 AM

Ah-ha! Found your channel.

RightWinged on October 6, 2006 at 9:20 AM

I went to the site Michelle Malkin has. But I don’t see this banned video that she said she was going to re-post. Has it been re-posted? Or has it been re-deleted?

EFG on October 6, 2006 at 9:27 AM

Was wondering the same thing… Could be still processing (it always takes about 20 minutes for my videos to be available after I upload them)

RightWinged on October 6, 2006 at 9:32 AM

Michelle, I second RightWinged’s motion. If you post the video somewhere I’ll be glad to upload it to YouTube. I requested membership in the conservative group (with the same username), but it hasn’t been granted yet. At this point I don’t have any videos posted to my account, but there are plenty of jihadist sympathizers who like to march here in Chicago, so it’s only a matter of time. Do you think wearing my “I WILL NOT SUBMIT” t-shirt to a pro-jihadi march will get me killed? ;)

insomni on October 6, 2006 at 9:32 AM

Forget it Michelle, you are asking Youtube to think. They aren’t capable.

Sure they are. There are very intelligent people responsible for You Tube, which is nothing short of revolutionary.

They can think, but they seem to have a problem with their prejudices. Michelle is on exactly the right track.

Michelle, your opening line is devastating. :-)

Pablo on October 6, 2006 at 9:43 AM

FYI: For some reason, YouTube is not letting me accept new members. We’re stuck at 1,172 with hundreds and hundreds more waiting to get in. Every time I try to accept new members, an error message comes up. I’ve emailed YT three times and have received only useless automated messages.

So stand by if your membership is pending.

Also, the view counter was stuck on our first YouTube video letter. The view count is definitely undercounted, but we’re still in the top 20 today. Thanks for spreading the word on YT. Stay and fight. :)

Michelle on October 6, 2006 at 9:44 AM

I just joined the conservation YouTube group. Following Groucho’s dictum, I’m a little disturbed that they would accept me as a member.

It seems to me that this needs to be pushed on a couple of levels. One is the refusal to submit. We cannot allow the Islamofascists to dictate to us what we can or cannot watch. (I suspect that watching the jihad rap video could cause the loss of brain cells and it should have a strong warning label.)

The other reason we need to stand up is because this is very much an information war. Control and production of news, of videos, of movies is very important to influencing opinion at home and abroad. Hotair Vents can reach millions over the internet. We need more of these, including rap videos in Arabic promoting freedom!

mkstach on October 6, 2006 at 9:51 AM

There’s a conservation YouTube group? ;)

Michelle on October 6, 2006 at 10:00 AM

Good job. Today’s episode is a great example of video blogging.

realVerse on October 6, 2006 at 10:07 AM

I agree with RightWinged, and also volunteer to post the video, should it be banned again.

brazilnut on October 6, 2006 at 10:09 AM

It appears that You Tube has an agenda to spread Islamic propaganda and hatred, while squelching peaceful opposition. I apreciate what Michelle is doing, but I think it might back backfire by giving them publicity they otherwise probably wouldn’t get.

What would probably work better is get parents involved and show them what their children are watching.

Rode Werk on October 6, 2006 at 10:18 AM

Damn straight. If Michelle gets banned, just keep having members post it. I didn’t realize I was missing so many terrorist snuff films…I’ve always just scouted for mad tv clips and vintage 90′s music videos…I can’t believe they’ve left that crap up; although, i have to admit, I almost started laughing with the guy rapping in the hoodie waving a gun around. I’m sure if I’d understood what he said, it wouldn’t have been quite so entertaining, but something about that visual tickled my sense of irony. keep at em, Michelle.

Yeah, I’m just curious what his problem is with President Enabler Putin? Why was he included in the montage of western leaders that the terror-rapper wants to kill?

BlueStateBlues on October 6, 2006 at 10:23 AM

BSB, you can subscribe to the channel, but there’s also a “group” which is different.

RightWinged on October 6, 2006 at 10:32 AM

I agree with rightwinged about having multiple uploads of the same video to YouTube by various members.(however, with slight variations in title).

It is frustrating to be home reading/learning about how the jihad is progressing and resenting that I cannot do more than send out info online. I’m not technically savvy, but if it is easy enough to do, I will also take the time to upload the video and keep online for everyone to view.

As a matter of fact, if MM and Hot Air can post “Post a downloadable version here and at MM.com” as requested by Rightwinged – the downloads can be sent as attachments to e-mail- correct? Just asking.

The Conservative group doesn’t appear in the group listings. This is the page it should be on as sorted by most members. This is the page it should be on under the “News and Blogs” category.

Interesting, ain’t it?

Pablo on October 6, 2006 at 10:36 AM

Yeah, don’t expect too much from a site that lets folks post video of individuals igniting methane from their posterior region.

heroyalwhyness on October 6, 2006 at 10:35 AM

Video files are usually way to big for email (though interestingly you can send them pretty easily through IMs if you’ve got high speed). But yes, it is very easy to upload to YouTube. If Michelle does like that idea, it’s a matter of right-clicking and saving then creating a YouTube account , locating the file and uploading it (they walk you through it).

RightWinged on October 6, 2006 at 10:39 AM

Chechnya.

Pablo on October 6, 2006 at 10:37 AM

Yeah, I mean I figured that obviously, but I also figured the Jihadists would understand the concept of “the greater good” (or greater evil I guess), because Putin is one of our biggest obstacles in fighting terror.

RightWinged on October 6, 2006 at 10:43 AM

Thanks for keeping us informed, Michelle.

FACING GIANTS MPAA RATING

This movie with it’s low budget and bad acting still made the audience laugh and cry and maybe yurn for something more in life. But this squeaky clean movie got a PG rating because it’s blatant evangelism. Freedom of religion has been labeled with a PG warning . So is the way of the world that MM would get censored on youtube. Your opinion might offend someone.

Drtuddle on October 6, 2006 at 11:48 AM

According to the WSJ, YouTube is rumored to be in talks to be bought out by Google for $1.6B. I’ll add more here when I hear it.

shirgall on October 6, 2006 at 11:54 AM

Michelle,

Perhaps you or someone working for you could start posting links to the offensive videos you find so that we readers can go to them an flag them as such.

It’s time to fight fire with fire.

thirteen28 on October 6, 2006 at 11:55 AM

Google’s worse than YouTube… be careful what you ask for, people.

Christoph on October 6, 2006 at 12:06 PM

Hmmm. . .my company has just today flagged YouTube as a “potentially offensive” site and banned access to it.

Gottafang on October 6, 2006 at 12:25 PM

It appears one no longer gets the flagged as… are you sure you want to continue screen when going to the concervative group. Keep up the good work and never let the bastards wear you down.

TECHNOLOGY ALERT
from The Wall Street Journal.

Google is in talks to acquire video-sharing site YouTube in a deal that could be worth $1.6 billion. The talks are still in a sensitive stage, and could still fall apart.

I HAVE JUST JOINED THE GROUP TO PROVIDE SUPPORT,BUT I CANNOT POST! NO MATTER WHAT I TYPE, I KEEP GETTING A DIALOG BOX THAT SAYS I HAVE POSTED OVER 500 CHARACTERS! NO MATTER HOW MUCH I DELETE, I STILL GET THAT DAMNED DIALOG BOX. I WONDER, ARE THE YOUTUBE CENSORS SOMEHOW READING WHAT I TYPE AS I TYPE IT AND BLOCK MY POSTING AS I ATTEMPT TO POST MY SUPPORT FOR MICHELLE? OR AM I BEING MY USUAL OVERLY SUSPICIOUS, SEMI-PARANOID SELF HERE?

In fact, now that I think about it, are characters every individual space that I use when I type an actual character and then hit the space bar for the next word, or is it just the actual letters that I type?????????

Someone please answer me.

The False Dervish on October 6, 2006 at 2:43 PM

Yeah, I’m just curious what his problem is with President Enabler Putin? Why was he included in the montage of western leaders that the terror-rapper wants to kill?

RightWinged on October 6, 2006 at 10:31 AM

Easy. Because he’s not a Muslim.

Lawrence on October 6, 2006 at 3:18 PM

You Tube appears to be either an Islamofacist sypathizer or is complicent in their efforts.

It is possible that whatever video or information or video that is not consistent with Islamofacist propaganda is being flagged by Muslim participants, and You Tube is reacting. It is also possible that You Tube is an active supporter of censorship of anything that is not Politically Correct (Left Ideology) and/or supportive of the Islamofacist. Either way the effect is the same: Censorship of any oppostion to the Islamofacist while providing a medium for their Propaganda.

While I admire Michelle’s efforts I believe that this is an opportunity for Hot Air to provide competing services, if possible, that may provide sources of revenue that You Tube has tapped. In this case If you cannot beat them then compete!

Good Luck Michelle in your quest and I wish you every success. Perhaps if your efforts with You Tube do not meet with success you will consider offering similar video options on Hot Air.

omegaram on October 6, 2006 at 3:29 PM

Dervish,
Usually anythong you type, including spaces, are considered characters.

Is the banning You tubes fault? Anyone that is regstered can vote. You could have a sweet litle movie of a kitten and a butterfly banned. Just get a few thousand (or hundred, no clue what the threshold is) to send feed back that they find it offensive.

Wyrd on October 6, 2006 at 4:01 PM

Wyrd:

Understood.

Thanks very much.

Cyberspace can make up its own rules. Get used to Google Government and YouBube Censorship also including Ebay, Paypal, and the like. Make your own video repository then. Make YOUR rules. They can, so can you.

My upload was rejected for violating the TOS. I wrote back immediately and asked them to specify what in the TOS was violated and how.

You rock Michelle!

Malpaso on October 6, 2006 at 9:55 PM

Hey, OneGram,

Best post I’ve seen tonight; thanks. I don’t know squat about the technology issues involved, but I can surely see that blowing this up into a cause celebre only helps YouTube in their effort to cash in to the dhimmi Google girls.

Why not stay away instead?

Jaibones on October 7, 2006 at 12:46 AM

“First They Came …” is an outstanding response to the Islamafacist rage sweeping the world into a frenzy. You are indeed a brave soul for your bold stands on these issues. This is what the MSM should be doing but never will.

Thank you for your wisdom aand bravery and keep up the good work!

LonelyMassRepublican on October 7, 2006 at 8:33 AM

Ha! I did it! With Windows Movie Maker, I added some transitions, and the AllahTube graphic at the beginning and end of the video, and it was accepted. I also used “not quite accurate” title, description and tags for the initial upload, then went back and edited those.

LissaKay on October 7, 2006 at 2:43 PM

I went to the “Dirty Kuffar” link that Michelle Malkin posted. I flagged and commented on the first video that came up. I kinda doubt it will do any good, but we’ll see.

EFG on October 7, 2006 at 5:26 PM

Yeah YouTube is a Dhimmified bunch. I’ve had three rejected from them because of content. The latest is proudly shown at Jihadi Du Jour. Warning: there is a death shot in it for “impact”, you’ll see what I mean if you watch it.

Keep up the good work. I’m joining the flagging patrol as well.

Joe on October 7, 2006 at 9:55 PM

I went back to the links I posted two comments up and believe it or not, that version of Dirty Kuffar WAS removed due to content violations.

Sweeeeeet. I’m not just some loser who spends too much time on the internet! I made a difference!
.
.
.
Well, I still spend too much time on the internet.

EFG on October 8, 2006 at 5:22 PM

I tried posting this on YouTube in response to Crusader18, but couldn’t because they won’t accept posts with more than 500 characters so I’ll place it here (since it’s eminently on topic).

“CONSERVATIVE’S CRITICISM OF MICHELLE MALKIN”

You’re totally wrong and I support you [in response to Crusader 18's post].

YouTube is a private business. They can censor.

You ever read Hot Air’s terms of use? They are far more restrictive.

Michelle reserves the right to ban “offensive” or “false” comments and she and her staff choose every video allowed.

Who chooses what’s false? Why, her and her staff.

“We reserve the right to delete your comments or revoke your registration for any reason. Rarely, if ever, will we do so simply because we disagree with you. We will, however, usually do so if you post something that is, in our good-faith opinion, (a) off-topic; (b) libelous, defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, profane, pornographic, offensive, false, misleading, or which otherwise violates or encourages others to violate these terms of use or any law, including intellectual property laws…”

She doesn’t just reserve the right to remove anything she deems false, misleading, or offensive, they “usually do so” in her words.

This is your jealous advocate of free speech on someone else’s website.

She has web space. Let her host these videos and compete that way.

Do I like YouTube’s political slant? No, I think they’re bastards.

But if Michelle Malkin was sincere, she’d follow her own advice, wouldn’t she?

Oh, and she’s still waiting self-righteously for YouTube to respond to her emails and two videos… when she wrote up a post attacking “Wild Bill” of Passionate America, did she respond to any of his emails?

Nope. She don’t play that fair play game.

I like Michelle and admire her believe it or not. But I don’t support dishonest hypocrisy just because of this.

Christoph on October 8, 2006 at 5:39 PM

It should be “won’t support” not don’t support.

And afterthought. I’ve never been censored here and I don’t think I will be even now. I’ll learn otherwise in due course if I’m wrong.

But I do find it ironic that Hot Air, a great website, criticize’s YouTube on free speech principles.

They support our enemy seemingly. That’s a great reason to boycott them or to post more conservative videos or to do any of the other insightful and courageous things Michelle Malkin usually does.

I just don’t grasp her free speech rights over their website.

Christoph on October 8, 2006 at 5:54 PM

I think what she is mad is not that they are deleting her posts. Because yeah, as a private site, they have the right to do that.

But she is mad because 1)she says that her videos don’t violate any of their terms, yet they still get booted.

And 2)some of the jihad videos do seem to violate their terms, yet aren’t getting booted.

Now my second point is probably my weakest. Because we can argue back and forth how much the jihad videos are getting removed. After all, I just posted about how one of the ones I flagge got removed.

But I think my first point is stronger. Because Michelle Malkin was quoting the terms of YouTube in her video and saying that her videos didn’t violate those posted terms.

So I guess she is saying that YouTube is violating their own policy. Or being hypocritical. Something like that.

Yeah, if YouTube wants to say “We reserve the right to ban and allow whatever we want”, well they can do that. But I don’t think they did. They said “follow our terms, and everything is Kosher. But she did follow their terms, and got kicked off anyway.

My guess is that is what has her torqued.

But I’m not speaking for her. I’m just offering my own interpretation of what I think her thoughts are.

EFG on October 8, 2006 at 6:13 PM

Cool. My vid already has a Pally-apologist troll. Where’s my troll hammer?

LissaKay on October 8, 2006 at 8:20 PM

Do you have link to your video, LissaKay?

EFG on October 8, 2006 at 8:29 PM

I don’t know if you’ve heard of this, but if you are looking for a troll hammer, you could do a lot worse than Nekama’s Troll Hammer.

Hope it helps.

EFG on October 8, 2006 at 8:40 PM

My version of “First they Came” is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs1wHKtECJY

And for the troll hammer, yes I have read Nekama’s over at LGF. I have another one, supposedly written by a Japanese woman, in which she asks a lot of questions that have no answer – like If the people you mistakenly call Palestinians are anything but generic Arabs collected from all over — or thrown out of — the Arab world, if they really have a genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why did they never try to become independent until Arabs suffered their devastating defeat in the Six Day War?

Search on “Yashiko Sagamori” to find it on the intarwebs. I would just paste it here, but you know those pesky copyright thingies …

LissaKay on October 8, 2006 at 9:05 PM

http://www.freeman.org/m_online/mar03/sagamori.htm

This is a copy of her questions.

Actually, at one of the sites I went to, it had a FAQ about this person.
http://www.middleeastfacts.com/yashiko/

In it, the person said this was only their penname, they were American, not Japanese, and the reason they were intersted in the Middle East was because they were Jewish / their mother was Jewish.

None of this is meant as a rebutal to what you told me, just an interesting addition.
