I think this was leaked as this was never released for TV. If someone could correct me if I am wrong; I believe the agencies who make these things make many of them and then release those approved by the candidate. I suspect someone close to the making of these released this thing.

Of course Ron Kind — and the other 200-plus Congressman for that matter — doesn’t want you to know that he voted for this filth!

That’s because his hypocritical voting record simply doesn’t jibe with what he tells the American people!

This Vote Wasn’t One Of Those Dark Of The Night Things!

Now I already know what you’re thinking.

You’re saying to yourself that this egregious vote was probably one of those obscure votes — one of those earmarks that gets added to appropriations bills in the dark of night — and that these 200-plus Congressmen didn’t really know what they were voting for such a vile thing!

Sadly, that is NOT the case! This appropriation of funds was debated OPENLY in Congress!

In fact you won’t believe some of the things that Members of Congress said in defense of this vile appropriation!

Congressman David Obey (D-WI) said that Congressmen — and by inference, the American people — “have no business making political judgments about those kinds of issues.”

Congressman Ralph Regula (R-OH) echoed those sentiments saying that Congressmen should “resist the temptation to select a few grants for defunding (sic) because they do not like the sound of them.” Regular went further and said denying funding to this depravity would set a “dangerous precedent” and ominously warned that it would “chill medical research.”

Congressman C.W. Bill Young (R-FL) actually had the audacity to say that NOT funding this depravity would be “mischievous.”
Of course, Obey’s statement is ridiculous on its face! Congress — by law — has the authority and responsibility to oversee these grants. That’s why they are debated on the floor of the House in the first place.

Moreover, have you noticed that when it comes to issues that Congress actually has no business whatsoever debating that our elected officials are always more than willing to stick their noses where they do not belong?
When it comes to the War on Terror, Congress has no problem trying to micro-manage the war. They’re all too willing to tell the President and our brave men and women in the field what to do — even though fighting wars is the constitutional prerogative of the Executive Branch.

They have no problem falsely accusing our brave soldiers in uniform of behaving like “Nazis” or “Pol Pot.” They have no problem accusing them — baselessly — of torture!

But when it comes to tax-payer funded depravity, our Congressmen start acting like the three monkeys, “See No Evil, Hear No Evil And Speak No Evil!”

I’m Angry!

Why am I angry? I’m angry because this vote for depravity is not an isolated incident in Congress.

I’m angry because:

We’re told that the desecration and burning of the American flag — even by illegal aliens — is a sacred right, but that prayer in a public school, the display of the Ten Commandments or even the very mention of God in public is somehow forbidden!

Radical judges and homosexual activists are trying to ram so-called “same-sex marriage” down our throats and our elected leaders — as a body — are unable to agree on the simple concept that marriage is between one man and one woman.

Our schools are now war zones. America leads the world in teen pregnancy, illiteracy and drug use and pornography floods our streets like an open sore! No child is safe and our leaders do nothing!

Radical Islamic Fascists have vowed to wantonly kill Americans — they state clearly that they want our destruction and our elected leaders seem more preoccupied with safeguarding the “rights” of these terrorists — rights that they don’t even have under the Constitution — than safeguarding Americans!
Maybe you’re angry too?

Maybe you believe — like me — that Congress needs a leader with some righteous anger right now?

Make no mistake! I’m not running for Congress just to be another conservative voice. If that were the case, I would not presume to ask for your support! I would not be deserving of your support!

The American people need and deserve more! The American people need leaders who WILL take the lead and clean up the mess that passes for a federal legislature right now!

Plus, it’s unfair. Those programs they mention were buried in a huge list of earmarks, I’m sure.

It’s actually even more “unfair” than that. The sex-related studies the ad mentions were done under NIH grants. It is unlikely that those projects even appeared as line items/earmarks in any resolution or budget. Instead, they were probably funded by NIH out of block grants after the proposals were received and peer-reviewed.

Congress does not explicitly approve every federally-funded research project.

I love “Aleutian Eskimos, whoever they are.” Yeah, never heard of Aleutian Eskimos, it’s like two totally made up words.

True, I and many others have heard of the words Aleutian Eskimos. But when you add “Bi-sexual, transgendered, two spirited Aleutian Eskimos” to it, yeah, even I would say “yeah, whoever they are.”

I think that was what he was refering to.

On his web site, Paul Nelson refers to his being a sucessful realtor. I hope he is, because I don’t thing he’s gonna get elected to Congress with this sorta ad.
