Video: Rosie jumps ugly with Hasselbeck over Second Amendment

No pun intended. Well, maybe a little intended.
Scott Whitlock was all over this yesterday, then Mary K got hot and bothered about it this morning, so I’m sort of obliged to post.
My favorite part is when she says gun manufacturers — or gun advocates? — have “way too much power in a democracy.” Always a little more candid than the rest, our Rosie.

What is Rosie doing on television? I find her repulsive, and wonder who is responsible for digging her up. Do the public a favor and please be gone Rosie. Seen that heard that.

Not worth a bullet.
Better:
This is better.
“Not only is pig-sticking the most exciting and enjoyable sport for both the man and horse as well, but I really believe that the boar enjoys it too.”

I don’t see how the blonde haired lady can stomach her job anymore. The best part is when Rosieo patronizes, “[the right to bear arms] is not really a ‘right’”.
Doh!
Kevin M on October 4, 2006 at 11:28 AM
Her self-righteousness is revolting.
I have a certain amount of anger at those two women who ran out of the schoolhouse to call the police. Rosie’s assumption that they would have stayed had the guy had only a knife rather than a gun is a huge leap, to say the least.
What is Rosie doing at the head of that table? Is BaWa getting ready to hand over the reins? Hasselbeck is going to have a rough row to hoe if that’s the case.
Anwyn on October 4, 2006 at 11:29 AM
This “broadzilla” is ugly on the inside and the outside.
As if you couldn’t tell.
tormod on October 4, 2006 at 11:29 AM
Rosie is a bully. Wait… no… just a bull. Mmmmm… no… that’s not quite right… just full of bull.
ztep86 on October 4, 2006 at 11:52 AM
What, no one cares that Mary K got “hot and bothered”? Gosh, these boards are really growing up. Proud of you guys.
Alex K on October 4, 2006 at 11:54 AM
Rosie has just as much ‘right’ to be stupid and anyone else, I guess.
Lawrence on October 4, 2006 at 11:55 AM
She hasn’t been hot and bothered here on Hot Air yet.
But we can always hope.
Lawrence on October 4, 2006 at 11:56 AM
One more thought.
Rosie O’Dumbell is such a mean liberal.
Why do liberals have to be so mean?
Lawrence on October 4, 2006 at 11:58 AM
More gun laws means higher law breakers to law abiders ratio of gun owners, why is that so hard for liberals to understand? If someone is going to shoot people, they aren’t concerned with gun laws in the first place. Liberals would have more armed criminals and less armed civilians to defend themselves, and that’s the simple fact.
RightWinged on October 4, 2006 at 12:00 PM
Nice going, Rosie. Adding fuel to the “Christian fundamentalists are just as bad as Muslim fundamentalists”, I see. Let me know how the Kabul and Riyadh Pride Festivals go.
Kid from Brooklyn on October 4, 2006 at 12:01 PM
the right to bear arms is not really a right??? hmmm. I guess free speech, freedom of religion, the right to assemble and freedom of the press are not really “rights” either. Rosie’s “rights” are only the ones that suit her twisted agenda.
pullingmyhairout on October 4, 2006 at 12:02 PM
BTW, did anyone happen to catch her on Nip/Tuck last night? GROSS.
pullingmyhairout on October 4, 2006 at 12:02 PM
Hell yeah!
While we are at it, we should go ahead and make breaking and entering, trespassing, kidnapping and murder illegal, too.
B Moe on October 4, 2006 at 12:03 PM
Rosie’s full of crap.
georgej on October 4, 2006 at 12:08 PM
Rosie can best express her objection to “the excessive influence of the NRA” by packing her scheisse and removing herself, her “wifey”, and her kids from the nation’s first “Stand Your Ground” state.
Kid from Brooklyn on October 4, 2006 at 12:16 PM
We should be paying close attention to who advocated, and approves of, O’Donnell’s presence on national TV that allows her to promote these Liberal Views.
Whoever is supporting O’Donnell’s promotion of these liberal views on national TV surely does not have my interests, or values, and would force theirs upon me if given the chance. I would like to know who these people are so I can boycott whatever it is they are selling – or promoting for others.
In my opinion O’Donnell is one of the ugliest, ignorant, stupid, overbearing, misinformed, biased, ugliest (oops, said that one twice – once for the inside and once for the outside) and least intersting people on the planet. Whoever is supporting this troll’s presence on national TV can do us all, including her sponsors, a favor and get her off the air!
omegaram on October 4, 2006 at 12:18 PM
Thank god those peaceful Amish woman have self-defense classes to fight a man that has a knife… too bad they didn’t include guns in those lessons or is that to technologically advanced for the Amish rosie?
I feel so bad for the gal sitting next to her… I bet she wont last long in that environment… I wouldn’t stand rosies breath on me every day and have to pretend I like it cause I’m on TV. lol
Shack on October 4, 2006 at 12:20 PM
Uhm…does La Rosie know that women in islamaland are treated like scum EVERY day? Geez! Nevermind her ignorant points about what a RIGHT “is”…
SouthernGent on October 4, 2006 at 12:22 PM
My wife just told me about a bumper sticker a friend of hers saw. It said: “If guns kill people, then a spoon made Rosie O’Donnell fat.”
Gottafang on October 4, 2006 at 12:30 PM
Great. Let’s disarm this troll’s bodyguards first.
BTW, I have it on good authority that Rosie’s so ugly than when “she” goes into a bank, they shut the cameras off.

Rosie: “So you think we should arm teachers?”
Uh, Rosie, remember this?
The bodyguard of actress, comedienne and staunch gun-control advocate Rosie O’Donnell has applied for a concealed gun permit, possibly to allow him to carry a gun when accompanying one of her children to public school later this year.
heroyalwhyness on October 4, 2006 at 12:38 PM
Because eliminating the guns that law abiding citizens have will somehow make the guns that criminals have disappear?
Whatever Rosie.
Benaiah on October 4, 2006 at 12:39 PM
Hasselbeck will be off the show soon, either O’Donnell will exert her considerable mass or Hasselbeck will get fed up and leave. I suspect the only reasons that she has not already left are, 1) Contractual obligations $$$$ and 2) The woman has some serious spine and won’t leave without getting a few licks in of her own (now don’t get excited Rosie).
I used to be neutral and dismissive on Rosie, who cares another knuckle head hollyweird type. Now I automatically avoid ANYTHING she participates in, commercial or otherwise. She has her right to speak and I have my right to be a discriminating consumer.
GoingThere on October 4, 2006 at 12:46 PM
2nd Amendment “not really a right”?
It’s funny how these liberal nutcase far left-wingers like Rosie can manufacture “Constitutional rights” like abortion and gay marriage and ignore the ones that are mentioned verbatim in the Bill of Rights.
…Oh yeah, and someone please explain how ANY group gets “too much power in a democracy”?
This pompous, self-rightous degenerate continues to amaze me with her asinine diatribes.
irishsquid on October 4, 2006 at 12:47 PM
B Moe,
Since you just OWNED rosie – let me know if you ever wanna sell her. I got a penny, but I could try to find something worth less if you would feel guilty about over pricing her.
Can this woman be for real? Yeah, here’s an idea ladies – you two go defend your students from the guy holding that Bowie knife. Brilliant!
Four(Let’s Roll!) Three plane loads of MEN and women couldn’t protect themselves from 5 savages weilding sharp plastic. Good luck teachers. And I’m a teacher!God help me have the courage though to not abandon my students in a situation like that!
y2church on October 4, 2006 at 12:47 PM
Hasselbeck was NOT yelling at all.
When the left gets caught in a lie like “bearing arms is not a right”, the truth will always seem to yell at them in their own mind. Then they completely change the subject “don’t yell at me” in order to shut up the truth.
Typical.

Someone should figure how to keep food from Rosie and let the NRA deal with firearms.

You know what’s REALLY scarey?
The sheeple who applaud her asinine statements.
irishsquid on October 4, 2006 at 12:57 PM
Rosie in typical liberal fashion-do as I say not as I do. I get a gun to protect wife Kelly and my kiddies but the rest of you suckers-well you don’t have any rights. Rosie is a fat slob who has zero tolerance for anyone who disagrees with her. However, that’s the typical liberal line and she wants us to believe she’s just oh so smart. Up until I had my daughter in 2003, I had been teaching since I left the Army in 1994. Until 9/11, my husband who is also in the Army used to joke that I had a better chance of being killed at my job then he had at his. I wonder how long Barbara WaWa will put up with this load mouth? Of course Elisabeth will probably leave first. I watched this show once when I was home sick years ago. I lasted 15 minutes and that’s when Star Jones was still chubby. I don’t how many people watch this stupid show but evidently a lot still do.
Catie96706 on October 4, 2006 at 12:59 PM
Wish we had a preview key-was going to say “wide load mouth” but forgot to put wide in.
Catie96706 on October 4, 2006 at 1:00 PM
Thanks CRASH…now for the REST of the story:
See how the horse enjoys it, see how the boar
himselfherself, mad with rage, rushes wholeheartedly into the scrap, see how you, with your temper thoroughly roused, enjoy the opportunity of wreaking it to the full. Yes, hog-hunting is a brutal sport….I found something Rosie can do. ( no, she will NOT be on the horse)

I seem to recall that Rosie had hired at one time several armed body guards. Does anyone else remember that?
Iowa Voice on October 4, 2006 at 1:02 PM
Rosie is one of that group of people that are the first to blame an inanimate object for human actions and also the first to scream, Kill them, kill them all, if her (their) safety is threatened.

Great screencapture of Rosie.
This has not been a good year for new faces on television news, I guess.
First, Today hires Merideth Viera, who promptly uses her post to flirt with Clinton.
Train wreck.
Then, The View hires Rosie, who…well…is Rosie
Train wreck.
Finally, CBS hires Katie Couric, who has launched that channel’s ratings into third place.
Justice.

Sorry El Heifer, but tell me where it’s legal in the US for an individual to purchase an AK-47?

Blaming guns for killing people is like blaming spoons for rosie being fat.
rightside on October 4, 2006 at 1:49 PM
“…is perhaps enough to awaken the nation that maybe we need some stricter gun control laws”
Tougher gun laws would not have stopped this tragedy. The man purchased his weapons lawfully. He went through the required 10 day waiting period and passed a BACKGROUND check.
Rosie also took a disingenous swipe at “Assault Weapons” with her comment regarding AK 47’s. Never mind that ALL assault weapons used in crimes = less than 2%.

Wow, a lesbo on TV….
Shhhhuuuudddddeeeeerrrrrr…..
What’s in the coffee cup? Rosy is pretty high and mighty on herself.
We have gun laws in this country, they’re just not inforced.
I can’t believe I actually watched the entire segment.
Now I have to wash my eyes out with soap and water.

Heh. Hats off to EH for boning up on her gun stats in preparation for fat Rosie’s bluster. But I particularly liked Rosie starting one sentence babbling about the constitution, and finishing it talking about the EU.
Who cares about the EU?
PS And just to be consistent (i.e., a pig), let me say that EH is a total dollie…

Rosie is as ignorant a fool as ever. Everytime one of the tragedies happen, her and other second amendment opponents can’t wit to start spewing their nonsense. The School Shooting They Never Mention
LewWaters on October 4, 2006 at 3:29 PM
Hey, thankfully, it seems Hasselbeck was ready for Big Rosie to come with this topic. Although Hasselbeck seems to be a “middle ground” person in the matter of arms, she pleasantly surprised me with her stats, to which BR didn’t have answers for.
BTW, it is so insulting for BR to say “Imagine if he had a knife instead of a gun…” In the first place the bastard would not have gone to that school at all, until he got the guns. Criminals will go into the situation which is most favorable to them. They are not heroes!!! If the guy had just a knife, he would have gotten a gun in the underground. Second, more gun controls won’t make weapons dissapear like magic, they’ll still be around for a long time. You know the rest of this point.
Oh, you CAN get an AK-47 legally, as long as it is the civilian version, which looks the same as the military version, but has no full automatic (machine gun) capability. If somebody desires to own a fully automatic weapon, that person needs to go through the process of obtaining a FFL (Federal Firearms License), which I understand is expensive and relatively hard to get.
batperez on October 4, 2006 at 3:42 PM
“The right to bear arms”? Please don’t let Rosie “bare her arms” or anything else. Okay, that was dumb joke, but I had to say it.
vcferlita on October 4, 2006 at 3:55 PM
Actually it’s not an FFL thats needed it’s an NFA transfer fee thats required. That fee is $200.00, that fee plus the cost of the weapon (Whatever that is for the particular weapon) is what you will have to pay to legally purchase and own a full-auto firearm. And that is for an already existing firearm(which currently are the only ones availible to civilians). If your a licensed manufacture then you can only produce full – auto’s for the Government or Law enforcement agencies.
AZPatriot on October 4, 2006 at 4:21 PM
I dunno how Elizabeth manages to make it through that show everyday without goin’ Mr. Blonde on her ass.
The Ugly American on October 4, 2006 at 4:36 PM
The problem with this Amish story is not just that a gun was brought in but more so that there was NOT a gun on the other side for self defense. If somebody inside had a gun, the story might’ve been totally different: “Gunman tries to take hostages in Amish school but is killed by armed guard”.
As for Rosie, I’ll just repeat what I said the last time there was a Rosie thread: Who cares what that walking yeast infection thinks?
Tony737 on October 4, 2006 at 5:52 PM
Jailbones managed to squeeze “boning” and Rosie into the same post. Genius.
Kid from Brooklyn on October 4, 2006 at 6:00 PM
First off – Rosie’s a moron. Yes, I am Captain Obvious.
Secondly – I would appreciate it if we could knock off the fat jokes. That kind of talk should be beneath us. Leave that kind of talk to Olberman. I am very overweight, and I do not think it affects my ability to reason, nor my moral character. Rosie’s weight has nothing to do with her insanity, her actions and lack of character do.
C’mon people, let’s rise above. When I saw the clip of Olberman making cracks about Ailes being fat, it made my blood boil. It shames me to come here and see the same behavior.
Btw, I am a proud supporter of the first and second ammendments. That means that I get to have a gun, and stupid people are still allowed to talk.

Tony737 on October 4, 2006 at 7:58 PM
The more devastating the weapon, the less it is used. I know that’s hard for you libs to understand. The Gatling gun helped end the Civil War, ending it sooner by killing more enemy soldiers actually SAVED *more* lives in the long run. The most devastating weapon of all (atomic bombs, for you libs) was only used once (two bombs, on one enemy) killing tens of thousands, and it ended the most destructive war in history, saving MORE lives in the long run. We had killed more enemy civilians in conventional bombing and would have continued to do so. The atom bomb ENDED the war and has not been used since.
A gun, in the hands of a law abiding citizen evens the playing field when he is attacked by a mugger, a burgler or a tree huggin’ hippie lookin’ for a donation.
Tony737 on October 4, 2006 at 8:07 PM

We just need to stop being such a PC society telling kids
not to touch guns. What needs to happen is like when I was
a kid, you were taught how to properly use a gun. There were
less accidents than today, and no one was going do anything
crazy because the kids were armed also. We also carried knives everyday. No one got hurt.
