One of our local talk radio stations has someone from Stratfor on every Monday for a weekly intelligence update. In yesterday’s edition, Fred Burton of Stratfor discussed some of Woodward’s “findings” and was somewhat dismissive thereof. Link here if you want to listen (the Woodward discussion starts a little past the halfway point).
Would Bill Clinton or his administration allowed Rush Limbaigh or Ann Coulter to wander the halls of the White House, scrounging up [condemning] material for a book? Dont think so.
I wonder who made the blunder of allowing Woodward access, and why they thought they could trust this president-slayer to do a puff piece on Bush and his handling of the war.
Woodward is the enemy. Has been ever since Watergate. One favorable book does not an ally make.
I would have enjoyed having Condi and Rummy sitting at the table with Woodward during his softball interview with that suspendered cadaver Larry King. Then we might have heard both sides of the story ….. oh, sorry, forgot it was CNN, yeh … nevermind.
I just heard a Woodward interview on “Fox and Friends” on XM driving to work. Woodward has changed his story about the timing…..
I heard him say previously that the WaPo and Shuster folk’s only requirement was that the book be released before election day. This am Woodward said that the book was simply completed as fast as possible, with no reference to his previous statement.
He also totally mischaracterized Andy Card’s statements that the book was factually accurate and a “good pice of journalism”. Card did say the book was quoted correctly, but was written in a way to show Woodwards opinion and bias, while omitting certain other comments.
I am trying to find links to substantiate the above. Does anyone have audio or Video of Fox and Friends this morning?
Woodward is nothing more than a shameless self promoter and political hit-man for WaPo and Shuster.
Blowback

Now I know when to publish a book.
5 to 6 weeks before elections.

Today is October 3.
We have an ENTIRE MONTH plus more of this “October Suprise” cooked up by the media and the Democrats to go.

Remind everyone you know to vote.
It may be our best chance to send the dhimmicr@ps and the Am. left over the edge. If they loose now, they will implode.
Remind everyone you know to vote.
