Irey within ten points of Murtha? Update: Abscam video added!

The way things are going, by the time November rolls around, showcase races like this one and Liebs/Lamont will be all we’ll have to look forward to. Top of the page right now at Polling Report:

Knocking off Okinawa Jack would do an awful lot to soften the blow. I might be able to get away with hard liquor on Election Night instead of narcotics.
Joementum closed today at a breezy 85 on TradeSports, by the way.
Update: Ace has been bugging me to post video from the Abscam segment of Hannity & Colmes last night. Seems like the right time and place, so fine. Here’s the clip showing Murtha indignantly refusing to accept a bribe from undercover feds — until they’ve stirred up a little business in his district, in which case then they should come back and talk to him.
The tape’s 26 years old, which makes it somewhat more recent than the racial slur allegations Dems have been tossing at George Allen.

Go Irey Go!
If anyone can oust Murtha, the creator of the American POWs, the Pendleton 8, our country will be well on its way to a better future.
Murtha is a shame.
Go and tell our poor soldiers who are being treated worse than Gitmo detainess because of Murtha and his ilk that you support them.

Oh, and vote Irey!

I REALLY like Irey. Good looking, strong, conservitve, and not Murtha. I hope like hell others in her congressional district see the benifits of her in congress. She is very pro military, and I am sure she will be just as good for the military pork constituants she has as Murtha was , but without all the antiwar whackyness.

Keep your chin up, AP. Five weeks is an eternity in politics.

Irey has made progress, and that might continue. I’ll add 5 points to the republicans in the poll at this point as it is usually how it ends up on Election day.
Having Fox broadcast the tape of Murtha playing bribery politics doesn’t help him at all.

Glad to hear it.
I’m not sending money to the GOP at all this year, nor to most of the individuals.
But I just made a donation to Irey (and to Steve Pearce, my local CongressCritter, who has been one of the few in D.C. or in the state legislature that hasn’t ’stuck a knife in my back’.).
Man, I’d like to see that seditionist, grifter Murtha thrown out on his posterior by the voters of Pennsylvania….. Then arrested, tried and convicted for all of his crimes.

Please, god…assuming you’re there…let Irey win!

Finally! The video from H&C. If Hot Air continues to be this lazy in the future, I will demand my money back.

He’s the guy who didn’t take the money. He might have somewhere down the line, if they threw some bidness his way, but he didn’t. What. A. Hero.

Irey has zero chance of winning. Murtha is a wily old dog who brings home the bacon to his district. He knows just about everyone. And those who question the timing of this Foley thing, well, that door swings both ways doesn’t it? This tape is how old???
I usually admire slick, nasty political moves, but it’s important not to let the audience see the strings.

Bah, I’d say Irey’s got a 40-51% chance at winning!
