I’m in software too and I have to admit that I have turned down career opportunities as well as contracting gigs because they were for companies that I could tell were too liberal, mostly in Las Colinas and Plano.

I am glad that we can, as pullingmyhairout says, “keep them in their little liberal enclaves”

There is NO way that this is going to happen. I follow the politcal pulse of Texas (I live in the DFW Metroplex) pretty well and I can’t see it.

Suffice it to say, I’ve lived in Texas for most of my life (with military service in South Korea as the exception) and this state has continually marched to the right the entire time.

Ain’t. Gonna. Happen.

I just can’t escape the juvenile impulse I have to make up dialogue when I look at pictures like the stills above. Dean looks like he’s imagining how his pink combat panties are going to feel later when he’s riding his inflatable Michael Moore doll around the hotel suite. Immature, I know. I just can’t stand the guy..he’s almost as big a douche as Olberman only not as stupid.

I am also wondering how many conservatives are going to stay home across the fruited plains. I hear from family and friends that they’re not even sure if they’re going to go vote that day but I’m hoping that they’ll come to the conclusion the Dims will get in if they don’t vote. I was wondering how many kids are being indoctrinated at UT or if they did just show up for the treats.

I hope the general consensus of the posters on this thread becomes reality on Nov. 7. Maybe I’m just circling with the wrong crowd… Several hard core conservative types that I know aren’t sure what to do on the governor’s race. In fact, I’m not all that settled either…

Perry has done a lot of bridge burning and now he’s busy with late-term bridge (read: suck-up) building. Kinky and granny are not even a remote consideration. The Libertarian, James Werner, may get my vote. I’m just not sure right now.

I know there are droves of moonbats here in Austin. The “Keep Austin Wierd” kooks are quite vocal. They just do not have quite the following they believe they have!
