This got me thinking: Are there any conditions under which a terrorist wouldn’t get what they wanted? Perhaps killing them in a manner that would ensure they wouldn’t go to Paradise?

Note here that we’re not talking about *real* Paradise – because after all these terrorists are not true Muslims, as we are reassured daily by spokespeople the world over – rather these are fake Muslims, deluded fools who have hijacked a great religion and twisted it beyond recognition, from Islam to non-Islam apparently; and therefore, they are clearly *not* destined for Paradise. And praying five times a day, wearing beards and avoiding pork (and Jews) will not get them any closer to Paradise. So the real question is then, how do we dissuade these loons from thinking they’ll make it to Paradise, so as to undercut the incentive?

I seem to recall a news article some years back about Israel considering hanging sides of pork on public buses (no joke!) because, as distasteful as that might be to kosherdom, it would provide an even greater deterrent to would-be suicide bombers. The idea being, if you’re splattered with pork fat on the way to Paradise, you don’t make it.

I wondered at the time, and I’m still wondering: could that possibly be true??? If so, then splattering a terrorist with pig parts during the act of our state-sponsored executions would automatically deflect him from martyrdom to non-martyrdom. Easy and predictable as 1-2-3. Could it really be that simple?

And I’m not necessarily advocating that we actually do it. All I’m asking is, how could anyone, least of all a true Muslim, be remotely offended by the suggestion? Or [mis]construe it as an insult to their religion (which we are told the terrorists don’t share)? After all would a Muslim be offended if a Jew was splattered with the same pig parts on the way to his or her death? Or a Christian? Or a Hindu? (Come on, be serious… ;-)

However, time and events have started to wear on that conclusion and I think I may have to re-think that earlier position of mine.

I certainly don’t seem to have much objection to executing them any more, and what little is left is swiftly fading.

I don’t think executing them will cause any of their fellow jihadi’s to put aside their weapons. But it certainly will spare us some of the problems that holding them causes, and prevent others from agitating and fighting for their release.

Bottom line, if executing them brings us closer to victory, then do it. If not, then don’t.

On second thoughts, don’t ask them. This is not something they handle very well.
