Video: Michelle slams Dems for leak double standards on “The Big Story”

posted at 6:04 pm on September 27, 2006 by Allahpundit

How come an NIE circulated in April wasn’t published until this week? Why do Democrats seem to think some leaks are okay and others not? Should Bush start locking leakers up? And is Jane Harman really “a nice lady”?

So many questions. The boss did her best this afternoon to answer them.

Well done Michelle, as usual.

Though I was rather disturbed at the ginormous size of Henry Waxman’s nostrils.

Now I know why Rush dubbed him Nostrilitus.

i agree with Michelle 100%. Michelle / John Gibson / Bill O’Reilly / Sean Hannity & Ann Coulter are true Americans that care about this country.

Don’t forget about Monica Crowley and Laura Ingraham! They are true Americans who care about this country, too.

Nice interview, Michelle.

President Bush has to SQUASH leaks, leakers, and the MSM who gleefully partake in these leaks. I am tired of them leaking on us (no pun intended).

I heartily agree with Ms. Malkin’s assessments. I hope, on the 8th of November, indictments are handed down by federal prosecutors on these folks you failed to live up to thier oaths in order to gain some political advantage.

It is uplifting to see a thoughtful, articulate, and boundlessly attractive woman (Michelle) throttle legions of deceitful, inane, and treasonous contemporary liberals with spot on analysis of these issues.

There is not a soul in the Milky Way Galaxy that can dispute a word of her assessment. However, we can count on the usual septic tank residents to surface from their recesses on the DummyUnderwear, Huff-n-blo, and Did-my-Kuz web sites with “versions” only residents of galaxies light years removed from our own might find mildly amusing.

Sounds like we need a political plumber

Drtuddle on September 27, 2006 at 8:35 PM

Remember all the outrage over the Valerie Plame “leak” that came back to actuallly be her husband who was the leaker. There is some question as to whether or not she was ever covert and consequently in danger but this constant leaking puts the entire country in danger and there is no outrage from those on the left. Can the leftys here answer what the difference is between the situations?

Catie96706 on September 27, 2006 at 9:50 PM

Be careful what you say about political plumbers, drtuddle. Nixon had a cadre of “plumbers” at his disposal, and that was one of the aspects of his administration that was pooh-poohed in the Watergate hearings.

It bothers me mightily that President Bush is trying to get along with liberals at all, and if he does decide to clamp down (which I doubt he will), there is a real potential for a trumped-up scandal.

A local radio host here in Indy was talking about this today. I think he was talking to Frank Gaffney(sp?), a regular guest on his show, and he asked why no one had been prosecuted, and the guest said “two words: Alberto Gonzales.” The Attorney general needs to get on this stuff yesterday. The SCOTUS ruled that journalists can only protect their sources to an extent, but if its a matter of an threat to the US, these people need to be hauled in front of a judge or grand jury and told “give us the leaker or go to jail until you do.”

Bush should make any offer to release classified documents (like the ones Jane Harman is asking for) contingent on finding the leakers of the current spate of documents and getting their prosecution well underway. You want the documents by November, then help us speed this along, stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us while we lock these people up…

The leakers AND the media need to be prosecuted for violation of the Espionage Act if not for treason itself.

Enough is enough.

Jane Harman is a nice lady and used to be tops on keeping secrets and rooting for the U.S. – until now – because she’s in political peril from the far left, she’s been spewing quite a bit of nonsense, lately.
