Today it was Mozart. Tomorrow perhaps it will be Shakespeare. Or Dante, who after all has a pretty hot place reserved for Muhammad in "The Divine Comedy." It is not--not yet--too late to put a stop to our habit of appeasing a murderous fanaticism that demands privileges and indulgences it refuses to grant to others.

Tony737, I said it at the time – the Taliban should have been blown up during the week ahed of them taking those statues out. Alas, the Clinton admin. was otherwise engaged.

The good news is that an Austrian architect has all the detailed prints and measurements of those statues and some day they can be reconstructed to perfection.

I hope they have plenty of security. The muzzies that are complaining about this play probably didn’t protest when the taliban blew up the 1,000 year old Bhudda statues in Afghanistan. In fact I bet they cheered. The TRUE followers of the false prophet muhammed (PIAPS be upon him) will, if ever in charge of any nation, destroy all pre-islamic religous symbols, no matter how ancient or priceless or precious. For example, if the muslim brotherhood ever takes over Egypt, say BUH-bye to the Pyramids of Giza.

Why was it even cancelled to begin with? Oh yeah … to appease followers of the “religion of peace” who threatened death and destruction.

There should have been no conference. Booting muslims out of Germany should have been the first action taken after they voiced their threats.

I really despise muslims and the weak who bow to their whims. Thank goodness Merkel has the courage to say what should be said.
