Looks like it’s open season on FNC for Democratic pols now that Billy Jeff’s given his blessing. Amazing — even when they’re being confrontational they come off as riding his coattails.
Here’s right-wing attack dog Jane Skinner doing “a nice little conservative hit job” on poor Senator Botox by noting that the president disagrees with her. I’m outraged!
Update: Here’s a screencap of that raised brow Skinner gives her at the end of the clip. Hilarious.

Saw it live… pretty funny… boxhead was doing the Washington two step and not answering the questions, while fillibustering with Dem Talking points….
I don’t think they understand, that the American Voter is actualy pretty smart… Clinton, the NIE, this… just trying to distract us… but I don’t think its going to work.
Romeo13 on September 26, 2006 at 3:14 PM
I say serve it right back to them. From now on, whenever a Republican appears on CNN, he or she should be sure to mention that all four members of the CNN political team — Judy Woodruff, Wolf Blitzer, Jeff Greenfield and Bill Schneider, or “The Storytellers” as we like to call ‘em in these parts — are all Democrats. What was that about “fair and balanced” again, Barb’?
And similarly, whenever the GOP appears on MSNBC, shouldn’t they unfailingly point out that Keith Olberdouche is really just a monkey posing as a Clinton-fellating journalist?
What’s fair is fair, after all.
Blacksheep on September 26, 2006 at 3:16 PM
This has become highly amusing.
For what, about 50-60 or years, the news anchors and talking heads in the MSM have been tossing live grenades at any Republican who would dare have the courage to come before these almighty pretentious bastards to answer nothing but one loaded question after another.
The tables are turned but once, the Liar in Chief gets a hardball high and tight, and the libs wet their diapers like little children and throw a temper tantrum.
As cult leader, Der Slickmeister has spoken, so now his blind devoted followers are now stepping up to the microphone, dazed and driven by his God-like powers and repeating his mantra.
Expect more of the same.
Self-destruction. Isn’t it grand?
fogw on September 26, 2006 at 3:21 PM
I like the fact that the media is actually starting to call these Democrats out a bit more. They’ve been treated with white gloves for far too long, but there’s a point at which “children” have to be responsible for their own words and actions…and it’s good to see that Boxer, Clinton, and the rest are chasing that ball into traffic. The more that we cover what they say, and the more that we put them on air, the more the Right sided blogs will be able to call out the inconsistencies, and outright lies.
Woot!
StoutRepublican on September 26, 2006 at 3:25 PM
Snarky indeed. Jane is holding her own first week out. FOX folks have done a good job this week in holding it together when getting skewered live on TV.
Sticky Notes on September 26, 2006 at 3:27 PM
Rupert is probably laughing all of the way to the bank over these little temper tantrums. If the Dems go after the mostly inoxious (sp) hosts of Fox imagine the fireworks if they go on O’Reilly or Hannity. They won’t of course but these little outbursts have got to be helping Fox’s ratings. I think the last dozen or so people watching Matthew and Oby Boy will even tune into Fox now.
The liberals are taking the death of Air Amerika pretty hard.
LakeRuins on September 26, 2006 at 3:33 PM
The raised eyebrow reaction was stellar!
The masks are starting to drop, the next several weeks should be comedy gold.Gold I tell ya!
bbz123 on September 26, 2006 at 3:34 PM
Is it just me or has Fox taken a slightly more confrontational stance since their 10th anniversary thing?
speed647 on September 26, 2006 at 3:36 PM
Oh,LakeRuins, I don’t think there is a Dem out there with the nads to go on O’Reilly. However if one did I think we could see two heads going “Scanners” at once.
bbz123 on September 26, 2006 at 3:38 PM
You can almost hear Fox’s ratings creep higher and higher.
Do you hear that?
I do.
Hoodlumman on September 26, 2006 at 3:39 PM
bbz123
Several Dems have gone on O’Reilly’s show and they are frequent visitors. I just think if they try this VRWC (Vast Right Wing Conspiracy) crap on him or Hannity they will get it both barrells and not the polite nod or like Chris and Jane did barely acknowledge the remark and continue on.
LakeRuins on September 26, 2006 at 3:41 PM
This is what happens when you mess with Mrs. NFL Commissioner.
Obviously, there are no IQ requirements to be in the Senate.
JammieWearingFool on September 26, 2006 at 3:43 PM
They’ve had an unchallenged monopoly on the media since it’s inception and now they’re getting mad that there is ONE outlet that dares to ask both sides the same type of questions.
They despise being questioned because to them, power is their entitlement and how dare they be questioned over what is rightfully theirs.
The rub here is that they can’t ignore Fox because it’s the highest rated cable outlet so they need to go there to been seen by more than three people.
Expect to see more of this jive from all of them.
madmonaco on September 26, 2006 at 3:49 PM
The problem is Nancy is JEALOUS..sheesh..I can tell it is all the guys who are posting. Nancy HATES Jane because Jane can still RAISE her eyebrow ..Nancy cant.
Too much surgery and botox will do that to a girl *lol*
labwrs on September 26, 2006 at 3:51 PM
The DNC chanegs the playbook every week, desperate for traction. This week, they’re running against a cable news channel.
Bereft of ideas, you try anything.
JammieWearingFool on September 26, 2006 at 3:57 PM
Alright, someone’s gotta say it:
“Yer sittin’ there with yer raised eyebrow, and you think you’re so clever.”
RightWinged on September 26, 2006 at 3:59 PM
Ask the question about the Senate’s low polling numbers, and if that could be due to all of the liberal obstructionism. That could create some sparks.
If Fox keeps up the good work it will force the big 3 networks to do the same. Liberal politicians will love that. NOT!
DannoJyd on September 26, 2006 at 3:59 PM
Okay we need a volunteer for a very dirty and possibly dangerous mission. Somebody will still have to watch Olberman tonight and capture some video since nobody else apparentely will be watching and inquiring minds want to know what he says. Poor Olberman, with this latest tactic they have doomed PMSNBC. Gotta love the irony.
LakeRuins on September 26, 2006 at 4:01 PM
Or in the Executive Branch, it would appear. And should there be? I don’t think it’s safe for either side of the aisle to be throwing stones.
GregH on September 26, 2006 at 4:20 PM
speed-It’s not Fox, but the Dems who are suddenly confrontational. First Wallace, and now Skinner, have given it right back to them. They should all take notes of every single dodge these clowns tried to use and have the answers memorized and ready and waiting, and just let it devolve into one lie after another, calling them out each time. They’ll shut up soon enough.
DocNeaves on September 26, 2006 at 4:22 PM
One last comment. For Fox News employees who may visit here. Remain professional, keep your cool, and be mature. You know what the game is and don’t play into their hands. The men and women of our armed forces, who earn a helluva lot less then you in most cases, endure far worse on a daily basis. They are under a microscope 24/7 not just a few hours on the TV and they handle it well. If you need motivation just look towards them as examples of how to act when the barbs and arrows of insults come your way.
LakeRuins on September 26, 2006 at 4:28 PM
Senator Boxer said that the Iraqis need to “want to succeed.” Is she calling Iraqis lazy? Shiftless? Unmotivated? Afraid of success?
Sounds like racism to me.
So her whole strategy for a change in policy is to get the Iraqis to want to succeed?
BelchSpeak on September 26, 2006 at 4:29 PM
GregH, I’m not sure how you got here, and not that anyone would take you seriously after your first few ridiculous comments in the Karzai thread, but if you wish for anyone to take you seriously, might I suggest removing Daily Kos from your blogroll, and when writing posts, never use the line “I commend the bravery of Mr. Olbermann“.
RightWinged on September 26, 2006 at 4:33 PM
Well if Fox News is so bad why did she go on in the first place??
Oh yeah… because the CRUSH CNN in the ratings…
Well, tough sh*t for her!
venmax on September 26, 2006 at 4:37 PM
Yes, she just comes off as stupid. This is a desperation ploy on Boxer’s part. No one will take this tactic seriously, and the more we turn away from them, the more they will scream.
CrimsonFisted on September 26, 2006 at 4:42 PM
Next time, the Fox correspondent should reply “When I ask tough questions to Republicans, they answer them. You are just verbally squirming. So I ask you again [question]…”
Remember, when it comes to politicians, there is always one waiting to take the place of ony who fall. You don’t have to fawn over them.

FOX is a right-wing channel for right-wing boobs and everyone on FOX is a moron and I can get away with demeaning them and their viewers and make snarky remarks because I am so much better than they are and obviously way more intelligent than everyone and it’s a shame that everyone in America isn’t as smart as we liberals are and I’m so smart and superior that I have no respect for my lessers and have every right to show my superiority to everyone at FOX and anyone that is watching.
It’s too bad they weren’t in the same studio, I’d have loved to see Jane Skinner plant one right in Pelosi’s puss.
Jeff on September 26, 2006 at 4:55 PM
Oh Geez, I meant Boxer not Pelosi. Maybe it was a Freudian slip.
Jeff on September 26, 2006 at 4:57 PM
Quit while you’re behind, Greggy.
JammieWearingFool on September 26, 2006 at 5:03 PM
Oh Good Lord, GregH. Give it a rest, why don’t ‘cha? unless you have anything new and enlightening to say, please just keep your pie hole closed. I thing we’ve read enough of your regurgitated democratic talking points for one afternoon.
pullingmyhairout on September 26, 2006 at 5:12 PM
GregH, you exhaust me.
pullingmyhairout on September 26, 2006 at 5:13 PM
Skinner is doing great so far.
Savage has the most accurate description of Boxer and it goes something like - she would and should be a washed up brazziere store sales clerk in New Jersey-not a US senator!
One day I’ll get off my lazy tail and do a paper on the comparison of the net worth of senators before and after getting into office. Go ahead and take the idea- I’ll probably never get around to it but it would be vewwy vewwy interesting.
And it does seem like FOX is getting more comfortable with their identity these days- they are back to “homicide bombers” instead of “suicide bombers” and seem a little more hard-hitting. I was worried they were going over to the dark side for a while…
NTWR on September 26, 2006 at 5:21 PM
I’m sorry I missed this but thanks for posting. Looks like a classic. Boxer should be a poster child for the dangers of Botox. As for her comments about the Iraqi people not stepping up to the plate—as most of you know my husband is embedded with the IP and he tells a totally different story from what Botox Barb is saying. He is totally frustrated with the lack of positive news coming out of there about what the Iraqis are doing to help themselves. He likens it to those in this country who go to work everyday and do the right thing and of course there are those who don’t and rob, kill and sell drugs and do all kinds of bad stuff. They have the same problem over there except it’s magnified by the press and the politicians who are afraid to see anything through anymore. We live in a fast food, Game Boy, Sesame Street world where if the game is not over in a short time then we get bored. And before the liberal trolls tell me that just becaue my husband is over there it doesn’t matter what I think or I am a stupid person for having faith in my husband’s mission–sit down and shut up. If you’re unhappy on this site go back to DU or Kos Kids.
Catie96706 on September 26, 2006 at 5:26 PM
Checkaroo, Catie, if any MSM outlet did a story about ANYTHING positive in Iraq they would be lambasted raw by the Left as being shills for the administration. So all they do is report every negative thing they can find or create to infect their listeners with the full innoculation of BDS virus.
bbz123 on September 26, 2006 at 5:35 PM
Let’s just hope that Fox uses Senator Boxer’s comment in a future promo.
“California’s Barbara Boxer agree, Fox is Fair and Balanced”
Ennuipundit on September 26, 2006 at 5:37 PM
Question for the Hot Air group:
Do you find Boxer physically attractive?
DannoJyd on September 26, 2006 at 5:51 PM
DannoJyd, as in if I were trapped on a desert island with her with no hope of rescue would I eventually relent and give in to my more basal instincts?
bbz123 on September 26, 2006 at 5:57 PM
I find her physically repulsive and I find Chris Matthews physically repulsive. :)
Catie96706 on September 26, 2006 at 5:57 PM
Jane Skinner, however, is seriously MILFy. Not bad considering she’s the mother of young twins.

First it was “X did a lewinsky.”
Then it was “Y is a clymer.”
Now we can add “Z just went clinton.”
allie on September 26, 2006 at 6:32 PM
Thank you labwrs-my husband said it would be nice if the press would show more positive stories about what is going on. It’s not all negative but you’d never know that.
Catie96706 on September 26, 2006 at 6:47 PM
Catie, best wishes to you and your hubby from me, too. A million thanks.
Have you gone to the other Iraq website?
It’s a good place to get some positive news. Also, watching the Military channel and how our troops are working with the people of Iraq and Aghanistan. It could be called propaganda, but it’s 10 times more real than any “reality” show on tv.
NTWR on September 26, 2006 at 7:01 PM
Good old boxer-shorts good to see she continues keep herself stained.
Wade on September 26, 2006 at 7:14 PM
I don’t recall who mentioned it - might’ve been James Taranto on “Best of the Web” on OpinionJournal’s Web site - but Boxer and Clinton are the latest examples of how the major media’s coddling of the donks really does them more harm than good. They’re consistently caught flat-footed when asked anything other than cream-puff or softball questions by symapthetic/sycophantic interviewers - and they take that as some kind of “betrayal” when it happens.
“Hey, tough questions are only for Republicans!”
Anyone remember John Kerry’s little tantrum in the 2004 election, after one interview in which he got asked a few “real” questions? After it was over, he ripped his microphone off while muttering in exasperation something to the effect of, “They’re doing the RNC’s job for them!”
This unpreparedness to take on the type of challenging if not outright hostile questions that Republicans deal with as a matter of course is compounded by the fact that most donks are “eggshells armed with hammers” - they love to dish it out, but they can’t take it. So in the end they simple end up looking like witless, petulant fools at the hands of their “allies.”
Spurius Ligustinus on September 26, 2006 at 7:53 PM
bbz, Catie, and Blacksheep; Thanks for playing along.
NTWR, I wanted to illustrate just how stupid that question was.
Jane Skinner earns high praise from me for being able to make Boxer lose her cool. I continue to hope it is a sign of things to come as it sure makes the big 3 look like a bunch of second raters, and that will force them to start acting like real interviewers.
DannoJyd on September 26, 2006 at 8:32 PM
I don’t recall snarky comments and purple-faced rants from members of the Bush administration in the aftermath of Dan Rather’s bogus memo ordeal. Why, then, are we seeing this from Democrats when rather inocuous questions are posed or simple statements made? Is this the beginning of a Democratic party meltdown? Should the Republicans keep both houses, or even pick up seats this fall, I suspect we’ll see much more of this.
schlagerman on September 26, 2006 at 8:53 PM
This is going to be fun. Maha Rushy predicted this tirade today, that they will attack any interviewer that asks real questions and name them as the RNC’s puppets. They think this will do them good?? This also proves that the dems trully think that the American ppl as a whole are idiots.
Pull up a chair, relax, and watch the games begin :D
lsutiger on September 26, 2006 at 9:10 PM
It is a coup for legitimate Americans to have the “elevated” members of the Democratic Party exposed as the choking boobs they repeatedly prove to be. Combine that with the half-witted contributions from some moron off the DummyUnderwear or Did-my-Kuz web sites, and you’ve got “intellectual superiority” that just leaps off the screen at you. ( I may need surgery to remove the tongue from my cheek on that one….)
Since no one really cares what Bah-bah Botox says or thinks (excepting the minimum wage workers that tend her garden and scrub her toilet on payday), it is refreshing to know these residents of history’s septic tank (liberals) aren’t afraid to be exposed on the network millions of legitimate Americans deems the essence of “fair and balanced”.
Spider Dan on September 26, 2006 at 9:23 PM
Ha, good call. How great would that be? Pull a Michael Moore on these libs by excerpting that clip totally out of context (because without the context, her sarcasm is actually not that easily detectable). They won’t, but it’s a nice dream.
RightWinged on September 26, 2006 at 11:19 PM
Catie96706, it is so refreshing to have you posting at this site. A big thank you to you for your posts, and an immeasureable thank you to your husband for his service. Please pass it along.
bbz123 - would that be the baser instinct of throwing up and passing out?
Blacksheep - that is an acronym that I never expected - and never wanted - to see here at Hot Air.
theholyhermit on September 27, 2006 at 1:01 AM
labwrs, good for you - she wanted to raise her eyebrow but couldn’t because her face is a phantom of the original; it’s now petrified.
Ugggghh - she’s one of my Senators. Need a thought-shower!
Amazingly, they insult the FOX staff, and by implication the viewers. Yet, they have the loons on their ticket already and this and the independent pool is the only one they could expect new votes from…
Stagnation and implosion is more likely. This fall will be boring, NOT!
New dawn, free entertainment, daily.
I wonder how Chris Wallace’s father feels about his son having been called a Republican…
Entelechy on September 27, 2006 at 1:20 AM
If they get so hysterical over a mainsteam TV channel like Fox News, imagine how they’ll react the day a conservative channel starts.
Halley on September 27, 2006 at 1:22 AM
I had my first listen for a few minutes today to the soonly departing ‘Air America Radio’. They are a perfect example of why Fox News Channel is such a winner. Fox serves many good interests-not just political information but also business and current events. And Fox if profitable because they are good.
AAR makes no money because it seems to be the hobby of limo liberals, an attack pup on the lap of George Soros.
Dissent dosen’t pay.
