This makes me ask how did this get past AZ. Was is another one of those deals like gay marriage that was decided by judges behind closed doors in MA.

I am tired of Libs conspiring behind closed doors and coming out and pointing at everyone else and calling everyone not in on their deals conspirators.

When will the middle of the road Americans wise up and realise that the liberal’s with and agenda are the ones conspiring and their only defense is to claim that the “mean brainiac neocons are the ones behind every conspiracy”. In my experience the only conspiracies that I have ever witnessed have been constructed by the Libs. I for one am disgusted and am likely to never trust a Dem simply because they are a Dem and I am Gunshy. Pretty sucky Huh?

No one will, because the “peace at ANY cost” liberal democrat crowd won’t comprehend the error of their ways until we are all either slaves of Islam, or just simply dead.

They are for the most part Godless just like Coulter says, so they don’t actually believe in “evil”, let alone understand it. Their notion of “evil” is anyone that opposes them and what they want to do. Islam hasn’t oppressed them like the anti baby killer/anti homosexual marriage crowd has yet, so they are still blind to that threat.

NRA4Freedom on September 26, 2006 at 9:32 AM

imagine yourself 150 - 200 years ago.

“Pirates! Lets see what they want!”

“I wonder why they hate us?”

Moonbats no longer understand what civilization means, they seem to think that everyone without a tail should be included in civilization. You earn the title civilized.

Wander on September 26, 2006 at 9:55 AM

It depends on what your definition of ‘memorial’ is.

MT on September 26, 2006 at 9:56 AM

Wander-I like what you wrote. Put a liberal in a room with an angry jihadist and see what happens.
It’s enough to make me want to remind everyone to vote Republican in a little over a month, just to make sure that Civilization endures for a ferw more years. What might be an eye-opener for the Democrats and liberal activists would be for a large contingent of them to do a fact-finding tour, not of Gitmo, but Iran, Saudi Arabia,
Egypt, Indonesia etc. and investigate the prisons, the mosques, the media and see why us Conservatives keep sounding the alarm that Islam is evil and dangerous.

Doug on September 26, 2006 at 10:07 AM

It’s even worse than you think.

Historians checked the facts? I don’t think so. The memorial gives a date of 1915 as an event that triggers America’s entry into WWI. A quick check on Wikipedia (I know, I know) will show that it was not the sinking of the Lusitania that brought the US into the war. It was the Zimmerman Telegram almost 2 years later. The US did not enter the war until April 1917. This is the sort of error we expect from high school students.

I suspect that the Code Pink and MoveOn crowds ignore military history, they won’t read people like Victor Davis Hanson. But the doctor who studies cancer is not a cancer monger and people who study war may be better equiped to explain what’s going on than those who can’t get basic facts correctly.

On the other hand, those who believe that we entered WWI in 1915 would be the perfect audience for former President Clinton’s revisionist view of his fight against terror. Those pesky facts can’t stand in the way of a compeling narrative!

mkstach on September 26, 2006 at 10:16 AM

Thanks Doug,

Once upon a time there were pirates - individuals, and state sponsored privateers. (individual terrorists, or state sponsored terrorists).

When you saw them, you either fled them or fought them and killed them.

Piracy never went away, but the civilized of the world took them on until it was not profitable to be a pirate.

Terrorism is not much different. It will never go away, but we can make it an unprofitable practice, but we must pull our heads out and figure out that you can’t reason with them — decide now. Flight 93 decided to die on their feet instead of live on their knees. I’m with them. If faced with it, I only hope I could do it without hesitation.

Wander on September 26, 2006 at 10:21 AM

I wish I could say this is unbelievable. But it isnt. Those loony tunes voices are getting louder..not more numerous, just louder. The agenda is: “Peace at ANY price”, America is to blame and no one country should be as powerful as the USA. This is what they believe and what they want the rest of us to believe.
If we dont fight it, who will? Exactly.

labwrs on September 26, 2006 at 11:13 AM

“This memorial is a tribute to moral relativism.”

Entelechy on September 26, 2006 at 11:19 AM

You know, I find this to be a real shame as I think the concept and design of the “memorial” is really rather good. The idea that sun shines through it and reveals words on the pavement is tremendous!
What a shame that the words were so inappropriately selected. What to do now?

Babs on September 26, 2006 at 12:17 PM

The construct in Arizona is a reprehensible blight–an insult to those whose lives were snuffed out mercilessly by the allahist cult. It stands as an illustration of the desire of the few who are willing to submit.

No Conversion. No Submission. No Slaughter.
Be Steadfast. Resist. Fight.

ztep86 on September 26, 2006 at 12:21 PM

Nice memorial…for the secular progressives.

moonsbreath on September 26, 2006 at 12:27 PM

Why didn’t conservatives or anyone that has a lick of decency in Arizona not yell from the rooftops months ago before this was constructed. What is going on in the land of McCain?

This is a lesson that every state should learn from.

Bic on September 26, 2006 at 1:15 PM

Bic - because they weren’t real forthcoming about how it was going to be. Most of us didn’t have 9/11/06 off to attend the ceremonies either.

The #$@*& has hit the fan now, though…

ChelleFiche on September 26, 2006 at 2:38 PM

No one will, because the “peace at ANY cost” liberal democrat crowd won’t comprehend the error of their ways until we are all either slaves of Islam, or just simply dead.

Not even then. If they become slaves to Islam, they’ll think they deserve it, and to paraphrase Jim Carey as The Riddler: If they die, they don’t learn nothing.

High Desert Wanderer on September 26, 2006 at 4:24 PM

“What would you ask a terrorist?”

“Deep enough for ya? Good. Get in.”

HerrMorgenholz on September 26, 2006 at 6:30 PM

Great Vent Michelle! Well presented points of view supported by verifiable facts and presented in a pleasing manner make Hot Air a must to get the truth in a world dominated by liberal media

Another example of the tactics of the Moonbat Left to inflict their political notions not only on us but future generations. The Memorial appears not to commemorate 9/11 but rather to advance partisan political agendas. The memorial should be torn down and redone - without political agenda and bias.

Chamberlain Left deception is illustrated so clearly in this vent - in this case left political bias posing as a historical monument. Hot Air provides an essential role in keeping us informed of these Moonbat tactics.

omegaram on September 26, 2006 at 10:00 PM

they don’t actually believe in “evil”, let alone understand it

NRA4Freedom

I think the only evil to that crowd are those who believe in the traditional Judeo-Christian God. Anthing to do with that God is considered offensive.

The State has created training materials for the schools, which means they intend to use the memorial to brainwash the kids. That is criminal.

If you see something etched in stone in a public memorial you think it represents your community and nation.

This is not a small deal

entagor on September 26, 2006 at 10:23 PM

I’m a foreign-born American - I’m not afraid!

Entelechy on September 27, 2006 at 12:17 AM

What would I ask a terrorist?

Hey, buddy, how does that bullet in your brain feel?

theholyhermit on September 27, 2006 at 1:46 AM

We have a real war going on in America. The audacity of these enemies of our nation is atrocious. This governor should be tried for sedition.
