Well done. The irony of what Rangel said yesterday isn’t that Democrats demonize Bush too, it’s that they demonize him in ways much worse than Chavez did. You can laugh at being called “the devil,” especially if the guy saying it is a fat dictator from a banana republic. You can’t laugh at being compared to Bull Connor. The two posters in Shelton’s cartoon do a nice job of bringing that contrast out. The one on the left’s sort of funny and “quaint,” the one on the right … isn’t.
Charles is following the fallout at Kos. Meanwhile, if Bush equals Hitler, who does Ahmadinejad equal? Sticky Notes knows. Isn’t Shumway a “Zionist” name?

Excuse me, but isn’t Charles Rangel “our” Bull Connor?
Don’t the shoes fit?
Just thinking out loud.

Hahahaha…after reading one of the Kos threads, I can see Pelosi, Rangel, and the Dems have got themselves in a corner. After all their “Bush lied et al.” retoric, the right will never accept them. When they talk with some sanity and denounce Chavez, the little darlings in their base want nothing to do with them. They have created a monster and now it is turning on them. How fun this will be to watch in the coming weeks as their party melts down again….

I cant help but wonder if Hugo and I’mamadjihad were a little confused at the response they received from their remarks. Afterall, if they watch TV, American TV (which they do of course) in their controlled TV nations, they receive say 5-6 news sources. NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, and maybe MSNBC on rare days. So 5 out of 6 ‘news’ channels beat up President Bush, pontificate about all of the evils here and the horrible state of the nation 24 hours a day. Iraq is viewed and reported as the worst thing since the plague and Bush ( some even call him hitler) is to blame for everything bad in the world right now. That’s before they even get to the lefty blogs. SO, They were REPEATING what our own news puts out daily. Our own MSM is very much to blame for all the bullsh*t rhetoric eminating from the Axis of Evil countries.
The MSM gives them all the ammo they could ever need, just repeat what they print. Thats Disturbing and disgusting , our own MSM is our worst enemy, and our enemies best source.

Anyway else see Chucky Schumer on FOX & Friends this morning? He completely ripped Chavez; I was coming here hoping Hot Air had the video.
If it’s pandering, it’s good pandering.

Ahmadinejad looks more like Yakov Smirnoff, but I guess that’s not as funny.

Attila
He looks like a beady-eyed little rat in a Members Only jacket to me. The true face of evil. In the coming years we’ll see replays of the speeches he’s giving right now shown alongside and compared accurately to the speeches of hitler. You watch and see.

Rangel and Pelosi (and Schumer) are finding out that they DO NOT control the KOS/DU Brownshirts. The Brownshirts control the party instead.
Such a pitty.
The party of Wilson, FDR, Truman, JFK, Humphrey and Scoop Jackson, is no more.

Catching up on Hotair this morning.
georgej has it right.
This party seems more like a fringe group in the mold of Lyndon LaRouche then a main stream opposition party.
They have broken the 80/20 rule a friend gave me long ago that has served well in measuring human nature.
Normally 80 percent of people are pretty decent, 20 percent are not. If the percentages reverse you are in trouble.
For a political movement, normally a successful political party represents about 80 percent of its base, the remaining 20 percent being the fringe.
It is the middle of a bell curve a party must represent, not the edges.
The DEMS are trying to fight the curve by forcing the center of their base to the fringe with
1. rape/pillage/atrocity war reports on the opposition
2. rape/pillage/atrocity domestic reports on the opposition
This is like herding chickens with a bullwhip. They will run scared, and they won’t leave the chicken yard, but deep inside they would rather scratch and eat corn.
Somewhere along the line they connect you to the whip.
