I see Michael Steele’s campaign signs all over the place near my MD home. The sign is blue with Steele written in a silver, embossed font. I have started referring to him as “Blue Steele”. My husband started using the nickname, and everytime we pass one of the big 8 foot signs, my hubby strikes a Zoolander type pose for the man of Steele.

What next? Black face on Steele? Oh wait, that’s already been done by them. Those unhinged donkeys only know how to fight dirty – especially when its a minority. To them, that’s the ultimate slap in the face – how dare they do this to the Dems? After all, it’s the Dems that are fighting for the minorities in this country – not those racist bigots, the Republicans.

You have to see the discussion of this at DailyKos; the entire brain power of all the Kos Kids put together can't seem to figure the sign out. One of them basically asserts that Democrats own being black and the color blue, so it makes the sign too confusing.

Oh, no Bubbie. He’s crossing the aisle to kick your ass and take your votes away, back over to the other side of the aisle. I’m pretty sure that every Marylander who hasn’t been in a coma for 5 years and isn’t dumb as dirt knows Steele is a Republican.

But why did he have to go and be a black Republican and ruin your day? And why did you have to go and nominate the white guy to run against him? It almost looks like race baiting isn’t going to be an option this time around.

Wonderful bumpersticker! The long version would go something like this:
“I was a loyal Democrat before 1)President Clinton disgraced the office, 2)9/11 demonstrated the need for stronger national defense, 3)the Democrats in Congress decided to make a political issue out of the War on Terror, 4)President Bush decided to reform education so minority students could be admitted to college on the basis on test scores instead of affirmative action, and 5)the positive results of the Bush economic policy made it possible for my family to enjoy real gains. Oh, and by the way, Powell, Rice, and Steele are better role models than Maxine Waters, Cynthia McKiney, and Jesse Jackson. So I’ll be voting for Republican candidates until the Democrats regain their sanity.”
