MSM brainless talking heads read the stuff pasted into their scripts from the AP wire with the same stupid smile regardless of subject. The 'producers' copying & pasting the drivel are mostly barely out of school and have idealistic agendas typical of twenty year olds, or worse. If you had the keys to get off the elevator at AP in DC where the wires originate you'd find the same Guess jeans crowd.
What a pleasure Michelle to hear an anchor like you that actually understands the subject matter. We must not forget that MSM is infotainment for rating$, Hotair is for in depth reporting.

Great job MM, way to stick with it as well. (and way to stick it to them). We got your back.
Kinda makes you wonder what else they got away with in the last year or two. Heck, start thinking about what might have happened previous to bloggers popularity and efficiency, say the last 8 to 10 years, or back 50 years...... ???
No wonder they're (AP) bothered, they might have more skeletons than a cemetary. Call them on a lie, and they dont know which one you're talking about.

This is interesting.

BOSTON, Massachusetts (Reuters) -- Yale University said on Wednesday it will offer digital videos of some courses on the Internet for free, along with transcripts in several languages, in an effort to make the elite private school more accessible.
...
The 18-month pilot project will provide videos, syllabi and transcripts for seven courses beginning in the 2007 academic year. They include "Introduction to the Old Testament," "Fundamentals of Physics" and "Introduction to Political Philosophy."

I'll bet you they'll be a bunch of anti-GOP and anti-Bush rhetoric in the form of supposed 'classes'. Maybe acedemia wants to take a more direct hand in the social engineering media machine. It's a way for the the extremist Left to reach out from their ivory towers without having to dirty their hands in real-world debates.

Problem is, the 'citizenry' the news media practices is a flavor of 'world citizenry' in which the only evil that exists is America under Republican leadership. In WWII, my grandfather was investigated by the FBI for saying we ought to let the Russians and Nazis slaughter each other on the Eastern front. We've gone WAY too far in this country accepting media-organized enemy propaganda as 'news'.

BTW: looking good, MM.

For most of my adult life, basically, I have taken it for granted that the AP, Reuters, and all the other "reputable" major TV network news agencies have delivered the news in a fair and -detached- manner, for the most part. Just the facts, and nothing but the facts, with little slant, for the most part. Sometimes there were what I accepted as "erroneous errors", as they were explained away by the news agencies, but all in all I have always trusted the "trusted" news agencies, for the most part. Boy was I wrong, and they all prove it more & more each and every day.

I assume nothing about any news agencies of any caliber any longer. I have become so disgusted, so jaded about "the news", that I can no longer trust any of them. CBS's Rathergate, Reutersgate, The Associated Press' bombastic drivel, CNN's unending "oopsy" television mistakes and lies... etcetera ad nauseum! There are too many to possibly mention them all from ALL the news wires and major news networks. Suffice it to say, the print media's just as bad... unfit to wipe my a** with.

The cover-up's, bias, propoganda, and the willingness for all the news agencies to air/print just about anything feasible to make a buck and further their own agenda(s) has numbed me to just about anything any of them have to say unless they're all reporting the same thing and it's all unanimous.

Once again, we should not be surprised at this revelation. Thank you Michelle for another great vent.

Michelle states responsible journalism and citizenry at the end of her vent. Well, I reckon that depends on which side a journalist feels that he/she is on. Clearly and sadly, we have seen (for the most part) who the mainstream media feels responsible to, and perhaps where they feel they are citizens of. As long as the mainstream media feel that ANY defeat of the terrorists is only a victory for George Bush, then this is going to be a difficult war to win.

And finally, never let it be said that Michelle and her HotAir staff does not serve our country well be reporting these matters to us, BECAUSE MICHELLE DOES INDEED SERVE US WELL. If she is wrong about an issue, then it will be pointed out. If she has not proven her point about an issue, then it will be pointed out. And that is a hell of a lot flaming better than what the mainstream media has been dishing out to us.

It was just a short time ago that we were remembering the flag raising on Mount Suribachi on Iwo Jima. Reporters like Ernie Pyle and even Walter Cronkite acted to support US troops and our victory. I do find it interesting to look at books to see how WWII was seen from the other side...BUT... I don't want to spend 25 cents to buy a newspaper that helps support an AP photographer who is working to kill our troops. And I'm sorry, an insurgent roadblock has no legitimacy. These are thugs that need to be eliminated, not given support by AP.

This demand to release him is ridiculous. Shall I use the beloved Geneva Conventions to prove it:

Persons who accompany the armed forces without actually being members thereof … war correspondents … provided that they have received authorization from the armed forces which they accompany …

The present Convention shall apply to the persons referred to in Article 4 from the time they fall into the power of the enemy and until their final release and repatriation.

The Detaining Power may subject prisoners of war to internment.

Prisoners of war shall be released and repatriated without delay after the cessation of active hostilities.

If he had close contact and was obviously working as a “war correspondent” with them he can be taken in to custody, add in the explosives and that is even more reason to take him in. Eventually we can send him to trial OR release him… AT THE END OF HOSTILITIES!

Associated Press vs Michelle Malkin...

But what was surprising is that the AP agrees that even journalists interview terrorists rather than use the word "insurgents" instead, popular among the MSM.

It's amazing to me just how far gone the ethics of major media organizations are. My wife studied journalism in college, and her professor told all the students that in a time of war, their job was to be cheerleaders for the US. She (the prof) said this in the '90s, and cited WW2 as an example, and was by no means a conservative. Apparently the prof was out of touch or something. Jeez!

I agree with thirteen28 above as well. How long before someone investigates these new companies for treason? Freedom of the press is designed to prevent the government from jailing those who publish or speak against it, but not to protect those who would put the citizenry of this country in danger.
