Tony Blair, as Prime Minister, is a good ally of the United States in the GWOT. This is certainly true.

HOWEVER, AS A POLITICIAN, Blair supports gun confiscation, the ban on all hunting in the UK, and criminalizing British homeowners who resist home invaders. Under Blair and his party, violent crime surpassed the United States in almost every catagory, on a per capita basis.

Blair’s political liberalism would make him unnacceptable to most conservatives and libertarians.

Howard is another gun grabber and is the author of Australia’s nation-wide gun ban, which was implemented about 10 years ago after a shooting incident in Port Arthur, Tasmania in 1996. It is illegal to own any semi-automatic firearm in Australia, and what is still “legal” is heavily regulated, including registration and storage.

Since the Australia gun ban, violent crime has also increased over there, proving (as in the UK) that criminals thrive in an population that is prohibited from owning firearms.

Rebecca Peters, Director of the International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) – a UN NGO dedicated to banning private ownership of firearms world wide, and the driving force behind the recent Conference on the Illicit Trade in Small Arms, along with George Soros - is a close personal ally of Howard.

She, with Howard, was responsible for Australia’s gun law and wishes to extend it to the United States via the UN.

Howard, clearly another good ally of the United States in the GWOT, would, like Blair, be out of touch with most conservatives and libertarians due to his politics.

Arnold Schwarzenegger supports gun control (Brady Law, AW Ban, closing the so-called “gun show loophole”). Also, Arnold opposes offshore driling for oil.

Sorry, a gun-grabbing, opponent of offshore drilling is not whom I would choose as President.

Fortunately, I don’t have to, as the Constitution makes it impossible for these three from running.

Further, if we amend the Constitution to allow foreign born, guess who would be the first to jump at it? Guess who would have the resources to buy the Democratic nomination using his personal checkbook?

Cardinal Pell of Australia gave the commencement speech at Christendom College in Virginia in May. Here is an excerpt:

“I want to say a few words about Christendom’s most enduring enemy, not to re-kindle ancient hatreds, but to stress the need for discerning cooperation, to work for progress and coexistence, to avoid disaster. I want to talk about Islam. September 11 was a wake-up call for me personally. I recognized that I had to know more about Islam. You too need such knowledge. After the attack, many people were claiming that Islam was a peaceful religion. I decided to look into this myself and began to read the Koran. I recommend you to do the same because the challenge of Islam will be with us for the remainder of our lives.”

He explained that in his reading of the Koran he found many references of invocations to violence. He began to learn the true meaning of “jihad,” with its emphasis on waging war.

“As graduates of Christendom College you should be people of Christian hope and human optimism. You should also know what you are discussing and understand the basic issues our world is confronting. Islamic terrorism is one such issue and these terrorists want to provoke a clash of civilizations. As far as possible, we should not oblige them,” he said.

We respect Islam, but we will protect our people from those who pervert Islam to sow death and destruction.
