Good video. This uses pictures of the protesters to prove the point that Pope Benedict XVI was trying to make… and these clueless idiots just continued to illustrate that point using any excuse and any opportunity imaginable.

Great vent Michelle. A quote over at mm.com caught my eye.
“Whoever offends our Prophet Muhammad should be killed on the spot by the nearest Muslim.”
Sounds like a call for a holy war.

Exellent job Bryan.

Well done.

Is everyone still agreeing with the statement that the jihadis only make up a small percentage of Islam? I’m of the opinion that statement is less than honest.
Kevin M on September 18, 2006 at 8:48 AM
Kevin,
There are over a billion muslims around the world, and how many have actually come out against the jihadis? .00001%?

Funny, I don’t remember firebombing mosques when the towers fell. Nor do I remember anyone firebombing Mosques when Iran ran the anti-Christian/Jewish cartoon within the past few months.
Relgion of anything but peace and tolerance.
E L Frederick on September 18, 2006 at 9:05 AM
Where are our modern day Templar Knights? The pope makes a speech the results are attacks on churches, at least 1 dead nun and threats against Christians and the response from the Christian world. Let’s be tolerant and to apologize. I say it is time to continue poking the beast in his eye. I will not allow myself to be intimidated by the headchoppers who can get offended at anything from the lid on the ice cream treat to cartoons to the words of a 14th century emperor.
And yet the rest of the world continues to slumber and refuses to face the enemy. Well like the old commercial said “You can pay me now or pay me later”. I am afraid later is going to come with huge penalties.
LakeRuins on September 18, 2006 at 9:15 AM
These vermin look for any excuse, true, and yet those on the left fall for it every time, blaming our lack of tolerance or Christian valuse for fanning the flames and creating more terrorists.Willful blindness and enabling actions from the left must be challenged at every opportunity.
bbz123 on September 18, 2006 at 9:45 AM
And I don’t remember an anti-muslim backlash (even by the so-called ‘radical’ elements within Christendom) when the Pope was shot by a muslim in 1981.
I believe it was Michelle who coined the appropriate phrase: The Religion of Perpetual Outrage
Great job HotAir crew, and excellent choice of music.

I’ve come to the conclusion that ISLAM is the problem… not radical Islam, not moderate… Islam…
If you read it straight from the book, it teaches many things which we find abhorent in the west… There is, as noted, no Freedom of speech, no freedom of religion, and no equal rights (women for legal purposes are half a man, and non moslems have few rights at all).
Now, because this “religion of peace” also states that it is OK to prostelyze with the sword?
The Wests way of life is very suductive to the young of the Middle east, and because of the power of the West, seems to be working… therefore our very EXISTANCE as a culture is a threat to the 14th century mindset of the Islamic scholars…
Thus… Holy War… and the sooner we figure out the problem, and the sooner we acknoledge that ISLAM as a whole is the problem, the sooner we can take steps to work on the real problem.
Romeo13 on September 18, 2006 at 10:42 AM
Really, so what if they riot in Islamabad or elsewhere because THEY think the truth is an insult to their prophet?
They are using our left-wing media (who is willing to be used) to attack our resolve and surrender us into dhimmitude.
Beyond the jihadist immans, the enemy of our civilization is liberalism with their multiculturistic belief that all cultures are equal.
I contend that any 7th Century culture that place women into 2nd class status — that condone clitoral mutilation, “honor killings” and does so in accordance with “Sharia Law” and their holy writings, or that demands the extermination of the Jews in Israel, is just not equal to that of western civilization. And it ought not be treated as such, or respected in the least.
We are having this discussion because the liberal media wants the West to take this particular guilt trip, and for no other reason. If we want to do something about the “religion of peace” acting out, we must first do something about their enablers: liberals running the news media who are trying to manipulate us into dhimmitude. That is where we should be focusing our concern, IMHO.

I read an interesting article, “23 Questions” on Americanthinker.com this morning by Tom Carew, Dublin, Ireland, which sheds light on Islam compared to the rights we so dearly enjoy in the West. (http://americanthinker.com/comments.php?comments_id=6143) These twenty-three questions, if answered in the affirmative, show how Islam is not compatible with Western values, with the UN Declaration of Human Rights (1945), or the US Constitution.

Maybe it’s time to pull out of ALL Muslim countries, no Embassy, no aid, no business, no exports, no imports, screw the oil, no nothin. No Western ties at all. Leave them to the Russians, Chinese, Iranians, or whoever else wants to be there, because it won’t matter. In a few months, years, or decades, the new people on the block will become just as sick of this BS as we are, and they won’t be nearly as nice as we have been, and maybe that will finally be the end of it.
It is past time for the moderate people of those countries to stand up for themselves, or lie down and take it up the ***.
In the mean time, be very vigilant, and MEAN what we say. ANY attack on us, and retaliation will be swift, certain, and eventually, final.
Take off the gloves, anything goes.
End of rant.

Ahmadenejad should not be allowed to enter the United States to address the United Nations. That is a PR bonanza for him, and a great poke in the eye for us. We could turn it to our advantage by allowing him to come here, and then detaining him under our laws for formenting terrorism, in supporting Hezbollah and also for the statements he has made concerning the destruction of Israel and the United States. Treat him like terrorist scum, have a short trial, declaring him an enemy of our Country, and then deport him.
Of couse that will never happen-instead his presense here will be a humiliation for us, and a victory for Islam.

We have enough oil on our side of the fence to be able to tell the ME to kiss it and kiss it deep.Oh,wait, the Dems are more concerned about the caribou getting annoyed or their beach-front vistas having an oil platform on the horizon.Nevermind.
bbz123 on September 18, 2006 at 12:03 PM
I am becoming convinced that Islam is not a religion and should not enjoy the protections religion receives in our country.
dallas94 on September 18, 2006 at 12:36 PM
How do we get the damn MSM, now including Fox, to show your excellent video. It says in a few minutes everything that needs to be said about Islam and its fanatics!! What can we do? Writing, calling and emailing is simply not enough.
sharinlite on September 18, 2006 at 12:39 PM
Ahmadenejad will be speaking tomorrow, which I believe is the same day President Bush is speaking. I would venture a guess A will get a grand welcome and the President will not.
When will the world wake up to this problem. I am tired of hearing that it’s a small percentage of Muslims. We Catholics were expected to be loud and vocal regarding the Priest scandal but the Muslims are not expected to be loud and vocal regrading those who protest. I believe they fear for their own life. I may be wrong but . . .
Catie96706 on September 18, 2006 at 12:44 PM
I disagree on arresting Ahmadinejad, that won’t actually accomplish anything. I believe him when he says that he has 4000 suicide bombers. Therefore the first thing that we should is realize that we’re in a ‘total war’ and strike their command and control centers. We should realize that we’re going to see atrocities as a result and settle in for the long haul. We’re in a real war, not a made for TV war.

Excellent vent,a concise explanation of what’s going on. Also, production wise,an outstanding job. I’m assuming that’s Bryan’s department.Great job.

Why would any sane person let this madman from Iran anywhere near a gathering of world leaders?

Amazing. Where are those world-famous English soccer hooligans when they are needed?

BREAKING NEWS: Pope converts to Islam to prevent more violence…
Oh, wait, that’s just what the liberal democrats are hoping for.
NRA4Freedom on September 18, 2006 at 2:25 PM
My point about arresting/deporting Ahmadenejad was this:
President Bush said, “You are either with us, or against us. If you assist terrorists, you are our enemy.”
Not an exact quote, but I’m in a hurry. You know what I mean.
To allow the President of Iran, who has called for the destruction of our country and has pushed Hezbollah to attack Israel to come onto our soil as a free man would be dhimmitude of the highest order. For the sake of our nation, treat him as a terrorist and deport him without allowing him to speak to the UN. When the fuss is raised, President bush should shake his head and say, “Our country, our rules. He has declred himself our enemy. He can go to Hell, or back to Iran, I don’t care which place first.”
Doug on September 18, 2006 at 2:41 PM
That wouldn’t be enough to calm the rabble, NRA4Freedom. For his apology to be accepted, Al-Qaeda demands that the Pope suicide bombs Israel and take out at least 50 Jews.
Oh, and all Catholics must publicly admit that Islam is the one true religion, but that goes without saying.
Kevin M on September 18, 2006 at 2:41 PM
I understand what you’re saying Doug but I think that we should go beyond the symbolic and jump ahead to the point that we will eventually come to. I reiterate, we’re in a total war even though we can’t recognize it as such at the moment.

Well done on the timing and editing of this Vent. As another poster noted above, it is unfortunate this won’t get any airtime in the MSM.

Very powerful. Nicely done. You guys ought to consider doing a full length documentary…I think you could pull it off nicely. Cheers.
