Of course, don’t you people see? AAR has no listeners because the evil Christian “extremist” right wing has brainwashed everyone to the point where they don’t want to tune in…if we could just undo that brainwashing, or outlaw Christianity, or outlaw Republicanism, or use the power of gov’t to restrict “right-wing” talk radio, or, or, or … I know we’d get ‘em back!

Seriously: Occasionally AAR has a straight news item or two, and and an interesting point to make here or there. But overall the station (and its implied mission) is a reflection of the festering BDS that has invaded the minds of the various hosts. (The station owners are in a category unto themselves…) To me it’s just shocking to see what’s happened to Franken and Garofalo, who both used to smile on occasion during the 90′s.

You get to fight the Great Satan himself in a video game, thanks to your friendly jihadist game developers. I have to say that the fact that the video game’s mission is Bush capturing gives a little bit of hope that the Bush-killing frenzy may be……

They own the movies to get their viewpoint across. Why do they feel the need to try to own talk radio also.

So, if the network isn’t declaring bankruptcy, what’s really going on at Air America. Did Think Progress get fed bogus information by a disgruntled employee at AA? Who knows, because they aren’t saying….

It was reported by Newsmax [9/5] that, “Steinem distances her new network from Air America Radio, but GreenStone has been renting studio and satellite time from Piquant LLC, the corporate entity that owns Air America Radio.” Thus they have some money comming in. Add that to what Soros is probably giving them and you can see that they don’t need to declare bankruptcy. At least not yet.

I spent a couple of hours reading the posts on ThinkProgress. Amazing how those guys think.

The reasoning for the problems at AAR ranged from the usual Right Wing Conspiracy nutjobs to “we need a big investor to fix this” (just like spending more money that’s not theirs) to blaming it on their advertisers.

The gist of almost all of the posts is that there is nothing wrong with AAR, so there must be some outside influence ruining things.

Just the usual lib… umm, Progressive thought process!!!

Why do you think they’re going down the toilet? It’s hard to run a commercial venture when you think that you are entitled to everything by some kind of divine right.

The demise of Err America is inevitable.

Here’s a typical “It’s not my fault” example of the liberal mindset from ThinkProgress about the impending death of AAR.

If we lefties could get our act together we would make sure there is compelling advertising on our own programs. It is great that people tune in to listen to AAR, but the only way to ensure that such programming stays on their air is to make sure advertisers on these stations create better ads so that people buy from them. If we would make it known that we are buying because of ads on AAR, then AAR would be vibrant.

How can we get better advertisers/advertising? I’m sure this must be the problem.

This guy actually thinks that their PAYING Advertisers are the root of the problem!!! Lets see….since our content and on-air personalities suck so bad, our advertisers could save us if only their ads were more entertaining!

I kinda like Michael Medved’s discription of AAR, Err America Radio!

AAR personnel leaked the pending bankruptcy story to get the blog rumor mill going. Then they come out and few days later and exclaim, “We’re not going anywhere. Progressive talk on Air America is here to stay!”

This becomes a positive news story in the NYT, “Air America Not Going Teets Up.”

That’s so good it’s Rovian.
