Great Vent Michelle and Mary Katherine!

I enjoyed the refreshing change of presentation, great vent with excellent points to be made, and criticism of "The View" was done in such a classy and sophisticated manner. Michelle continues to amaze me with the excellent quality of her presentations on such important issues, and always done with such class and style.

Rosie O'Donnell, to me, seems to be the exact opposite of Michelle and Mary Katherine. O'Donnell leaves such a lasting impression of being crude, stupid, ignorant, ugly, and vulgar that the only way I would even consider viewing any part of her broadcast is that it is on Hot Air.

To clearly see the ignorance of O'Donnell's view perhaps it is enlighting to view the Pope's comments on Islam this week. His quotes from historical reference to the nature of Islam, and his view that violence is not compatable with the will of God really put the entire doctrine of the Muslim in perspective, and contrast sharply with the Christain faith.

I think we should pay more attention to who sponsors such outragous views - the TV station, network, but particularly the producers and the commercial sponsors. Perhaps someone can give us a better idea of the ones behind O'Donnell being given national air time.

Smart and attractive conservative women discussing the issues in a relaxed and engaging format. If you folks did this at least once a week, I dare say that you would have a monster internet audience in no time flat.

I really enjoyed The Vent, and hope you good people keep the hits coming. Thanks for all that you do. :)

Another point about The View's crowd reaction. During business trips to NYC I have traded boring evenings alone in the hotel for slipping into the studio audience for some TV show tapings.

Here's what I've observed: the audience reaction is just as fabricated as the scripted actors. There's always a massive amount of show staff off camera TELLING the audience to cheer and clap. The result -- it makes jokes appear funny, and moronic statements appear valid. I was shocked at how un-funny Letterman is in person -- the laughter is very contrived. The "stars" are not as talented or as intelligent as they appear -- they only appear that way because of a large production staff working hard every day to MAKE them appear legit. Its amazing how brainless these studio audiences are, they literally laugh and cheer at anything, and most of the time they don't even know what the actor/host even said.

There’s always a massive amount of show staff off camera TELLING the audience to cheer and clap. The result — it makes jokes appear funny, and moronic statements appear valid. I was shocked at how un-funny Letterman is in person — the laughter is very contrived. The “stars” are not as talented or as intelligent as they appear — they only appear that way because of a large production staff working hard every day to MAKE them appear legit. Its amazing how brainless these studio audiences are, they literally laugh and cheer at anything, and most of the time they don’t even know what the actor/host even said.

So the real question is, when will one of the networks put on a show like this as answer for those of us that are not represented by "The View"? I would TAPE a show with women that are more from my view of life, and would like to see the same kind of thing from our format.

Wouldn't it be good to try and get the people they visit to actually answer life from our standpoint? "Why not more family movies?" "Mr Pitt, when will you admit you said what you said to slime out of getting married, becuse everyone cn get married now?"

"When will there be more family friendly TV?" and "When will you admit that the difference between liberals and Conservatives, is that Conservatives actually have faith... in people?"

It could be SO FUN!

[...] NY Gun Laws & the Granny She looked like the perfect victim. Last Fri day, 56-year-old Margaret Johnson was leaving her building in her wheelchair. Ex cept for her small dog, she was alone and didn’t see the criminal attack her from behind. Having suffered bruises to her neck and arm, a friend of Johnson’s said, “She was scared for her life. She’s devastated.” But this attack ended differently than most crimes in New York City. As her attacker grabbed her “violently” and “choked” her, Johnson pulled out a handgun and shot once, hitting the criminal in the elbow. Johnson was fortunate that she was able to defend herself. Michigan Bill Would Require Cervical Cancer Vaccine for Girls Michigan State Senator Beverly Hammerstrom, a Republican, has introduced a bill requiring all girls entering the sixth grade to receive a vaccination that protects against cervical cancer. Under the bill, Michigan would become the first state in the nation to require the vaccine for school entry. Since the virus that causes cervical cancer can be sexually transmitted, some parents say giving it to young girls presupposes that they will engage in premarital sex — and may even encourage such behavior. I’m against mandatory vaccinations in general and this vaccination in particular. It doesn’t have a proven track record like the chicken pox vaccination. The comments come from Peter Singer, a controversial bioethics professor, who responded to a series of questions in the UK Independent this week. I wonder how many pro-choice people would agree with this so-called ethicist? Or do they think he hurts their cause to keep abortion “safe and legal?” [...]
