[...] The new USA Today/Gallup poll is getting top of the page treatment at Drudge. They’ve got Bush at 44% job approval; AP-Ipsos and Fox/Opinion Dynamics polls taken a few days earlier had him at 39 and 40, respectively. An upward trend? Probably not. Recall that Rasmussen had him at 47% last Thursday, a bounce I attributed to 9/11 memories and which I predicted would blow over. His Rasmussen numbers today? 40%, down from 41 the day before, down from 44 on September 16th, which lay smack dab in the middle of the sample window used by USA Today/Gallup. It was a bubble and it’s likely already popped. [...]

fly_in_ointment and fogw, there is no need to call people liars to strenghen your argument. I am not the only Reagan conservative that realizes now that Bush is not a conservative. Joseph Farah, Jay Severen, Richard Vigurie,
Pat Buchanan, and many more. The only conservative thing Bush has done is lower taxes. He kisses up to Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton on the white house lawn. Allows Elton John and his boyfriend to overnight and committ sodomy in the Lincoln Bedroom. There is so much more. Partners with Ted Kennedy to strengthen the dept of ed. So much more.

The ABC miniseries on 911 made Bush seem much more valuable.

The recipe for higher numbers:
1. ABC miniseries on 911 Oy VEY
2. illegal Invasion News - off the radar on MSM because neither party wants it for the election
3. Gas Down

Result:
1. Real Fear revived for a real enemy we have to kill or die
2. Not seeing the Mexican flag being hoisted over the Alamo keeps our eyes off a real enemy Bush is conspiring with, and on a real enemy Bush said he will fight
3. Gas down, blood pressure down

Your head clears just enough to realize that
DEMs stand for Dhimmi EMs

How about a nuanced President?

Kerry didn't win the election. You'll just have to get over it. Sorry.

You’d think, being the leader of the free world and all, he could chew gum and walk at the same time.

Depends on the brand of gum.

I suspect you’d rather let the speeders and drunk drivers kill thousands of motorists every year.

In case you didn't get the memo when God was passing out IQ's, the President isn't responsible for local law enforcement.

Why outsource the job, right?

Well, if it will save money, sure....why not.

Hmmmmm....reminds me of that ponytail guy during the 1992 Presidential debates.

Are you my daddy?

His approval ratings remind me daily of how mindless this nation can be. Iraq and Terror aside, what has Bush done for the working family?

Still breathing, ain't ya?

Are interest rates down?

When did the President take over Bernanke's job?

Anything? Are interest rates down? Are medical costs down? Is inflation down? Is the national debt down? Is college tuition down? How about gas prices, crime rates, high school drop out rates? What has he done for the average family?

Ever notice how people complain about the President not being fascist enough?

Today, during his press conference, you could hear police sirens blaring in the background and it should have reminded us all that there are issues deeper than getting the “evil-doers”.

Hmmm....Chasing speeders or killing terrorists. Racing to the scene of an accident or killing terrorists. Hmmm...Tough choices for the President.

Thumbs UP to President Bush's Approval Job Rating...

Not that I put much into what polls results show, actually it depends on the wording of the questions, who is conducting them and the market they target for answers. The good news is President Bush's Job Approval Rating is at 47%....

Entelechy,

"I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally."
George Washington http://usinfo.state.gov/usa/infousa/facts/democrac/49.htm

I have only voted Conservative since Richard Nixon and I have seen the damage done the Country by egos, party loyalties and abject hatred of the opposing party.

So I am well acquainted with voting for the lesser evil and deluding myself that the oath of office would keep the better (or worse), but not perfect choice from straying to far from Constitutional constraints.

Yeah, I much prefer Bush to Gore or Kerry.
Liberalism has damaged this Country far more than people under thirty can possibly imagine.

The real problem lies in that there is no resultant difference between an Al-Qaeda nuke/Islamic terrorism, a take over by third world invasion/Communist takeover or the economy held hostage by a combination of Foreign lenders, currency loyalists and deluded Global elites. America is still changed forever and maybe doesn't exist at all.

Our present Pres. is the better of two other Candidates or the lesser evil, only that the result of just one of the above evils is all it takes to achieve the same disastrous end.

Bush is in for two out of three, intentionaly or not...feel better?

Speakup, I understand your message. However, it is ideal and we're dealing with a nasty environment in which the best people don't even run for the office. There aren't angels on Earth and the media (whom no one checks) destroys people for sport. So do political adversaries.

Thus, and because a third party doesn't have a chance, we end up always voting for the lesser of two not-perfect candidates. Add to that the events which unfold and the surprises they bring us, not having revealed them for political or other reasons during the campaign, and here we are...

For my part, I still sleep much better knowing we've got this admin. versus the two we nealry had. I shudder.

On the poll topic, gas prices at $1.15 a possibility again?

On the poll topic, gas prices at $1.15 a possibility again?

Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.
Barry Goldwater

Savage is as savage does. sometimes...rightfully.

LZ, too much Savage makes for an unhappy self. Savage, while correct in many respects, goes all leftard when he gets too fired up. He ends up playing right into the hands of the very enemies within he hates so much. Although it is a shame we tend to have to pick between two sides that both do things to annoy us, the end game is what matters most. Globalism, while scary, is more feasible than isolationism.

I agree we can and should demand and provide for ourselves better, but until the ones with great ideas and a good following are willing to step up to the plate and take the bashing that goes with it, we are destined for more of the same.

SHHHHH! This poll data should be buried like the robust economy, decreasing unemployment numbers (again), lower gas prices, and lack of terror attacks!!!

Entelechy, you can be killed just as well by a Volkswagen as by a Mac truck.
We just shouldn't have to face up to being killed by either through political/personal agenda.
The trust well assumed by US citizens that a Pres. will put America first in all respects shouldn't fall to which candidate usurps us (screws you and me over) best.
We can and absolutely should demand and provide for ourselves, better.

A look at the bigger picture should tell you that while his approval rating is above 30%, that less than squat will get done according to the will of the people and everything will get done on the Bush personal docket.
That means immigration is dead except under his terms which doesn't include deporting anyone in fact just the opposite, by the million.
China, India and any nation the president wants to bribe can keep or start feeding on the American tit and continue setting new trade deficit records and join the currency loyalists in erasing all definition of separation between America and Ghana, Thailand or Borneo so far as that goes.
The dash will be on to cement the SPP/north American union in place with no approval by Congress and to hell with American citizens.
The globalists will continue destroying the American middle class to line their pockets at gold rush pace.
Bush was a much better Pres. at 27% than he ever will be at 47%.
Ann Coulter in relation to the immigration issue said "press 2 for president Cheney"
I say press '3 for Pres. Hastert'...please.

GWB is a joke. I voted for him twice and he has backstabbed the Reagan Conservatives like myself. He has single handedly destroyed conservatism. He is destroying the middle class, American culture, and one day we could be atomized because of this buffoon. Since 9/11 more muslims have came here than in previous years. We have student exchange, are our students not allowed in their arab countries? Iraqi leaders are meeting with Iran and kissing cheeks…..while our men are losing legs. Someday this political coward will no longer be able to sleep for standing on the dismembered bodies of young Americans. While his daughters and nephews dance in nightclubs because they do not believe in America to join the cause he espouses, real Americans(not the Bush’s) are dying and wearing aluminum legs. The terrorists are invading our country through Mexico, while Bush stutters and stammers about staying the course. Azz kissers like Limbaugh only make matters worse. God help us from this political elite.

Reagan Conservative like myself,
Azz kissers like Limbaugh ..... Error, Error, does not compute. You're about as conservative as Olbermann.

Thanks LZ. Pay attention folks. Here's a prime example of why we will win again.
