Such complacency as we have, the Left will remember fondly. I’m willing to consider it a settled matter that Hoepker and Rich’s interpretation was supported by their wishful thinking alone, especially since I don’t give a rat’s a$$ what they think. But how stupid is it of leftists to make a jab at anyone for alleged complacency about terrorism and the islamic imperialism behind it? If the United States becomes fully roused before we suffer a decapitating or disabling strike, it’s the Left who stand to lose everything. What will be the power of “multiculturalists” when Americans have gotten fully pi$$ed off with “the religion of peace”? Who will give any more attention to the AARP’s demands, after childless, overtaxed Americans have seen muslims inherit France and the rest of Europe? Who will give a damn about the UN, the State Department, or Executive Order 12333, once Americans have decided they’ve suffered enough? Who will read the NYT once they’ve tasted the red meat at HotAir.com?

That is hilarious. I don’t know how Rich even begins to jump to the conclusion he jumped to. What does he think, every single person in New York was running
around wailing and waving their hands in the air the whole day? Where was he?
Didn’t he spend most of the day with a reasonably controlled
expression on his face? I did. And I spent a lot of the day sitting
too. And I occasionally even turned my head away from the
towers/smoke. And talked to other reasonably controlled people. What a weirdo.

Yes, the are necessarily callous…their own need to be “relevant” and “edgy” rule them. Most decidedly anti-American because it is just SO fashionable dont you know.

Looking at the three people closer to the water it seems obvious that they had been watching the billowing smoke of the ruins and turned perhaps to speak to one of the other two. Look at the positions of their bodies, especially the woman in the middle. She looks as though she’d turned her upper body away from the scene across the water, not how I’d expect her to be sitting if she had ‘already moved on’.

How long will it take the journos to get the message that we’re not that stupid?
