I saw that segment tonight and the literal whistling-past-the-graveyard ability of Arianna was stunning.

I wonder what color the sky is on her planet?

Rosetta on September 13, 2006 at 10:12 PM

huffington needs to stfu. i’m so sick of her liberal b.s. thanks to Sean Hannity / Ann Coulter / Bill O’Reilly & john Gibson & Michelle Malkin & people like Huufington / Alan Colmes / Bob Beckel / John Kerry / Nancy Pelosi / Cindy ” Baghdad” sheehan, i truly truly hate liberals

Starblazer on September 13, 2006 at 10:13 PM

Was the sound on that video horrible, or was it my headphones? And no, I’m not talking about Arianna’s voice.

DaveS on September 13, 2006 at 10:14 PM

I can’t stand this woman. I know it’s not nice of me to say that but she’s annoying as hell.

Catie96706 on September 13, 2006 at 10:23 PM

Catie96706 – say anything about her that comes to mind, no one here will judge you except of course any liberals here to defend that fat cow (see how easy it is)

Starblazer on September 13, 2006 at 10:26 PM

and we couldn’t care what the “cut & run /surrender / raise the white flag / terrorists appeasers ” liberals think about us

Starblazer on September 13, 2006 at 10:28 PM

huffington needs to stfu.

I disagree, this sort of behavior only stands to help the GOP. As these type of people and their type of ridiculous statements continue to be more mainstream in the Democratic Party, the more people will see it for what it truly is. The MSM can only cover for them so much. I’m still in shock over the fact they were stupid enough to make Howard Dean chairman, and that compared to everything else we’ve seen from them recently, that doesn’t seem like a big deal!

RightWinged on September 13, 2006 at 10:30 PM

(Sniff) (Sniff) I think I smell a…

Starblazer??

Hey…what are you trolling for my friend?

Looking for a date?

Rosetta on September 13, 2006 at 10:31 PM

oh by the way, it’s important to note that Huffington essentially called the Kurds liars and mocked them for thanking America.

RightWinged on September 13, 2006 at 10:32 PM

I saw this segment, and not only have I seen the “The Other Iraq” DVD, but I’ve also seen “Saddam – WMD” DVD, which is THE MUST SEE DVD of the century! And Arianna Huffy… “so what?” You stupid airhead should see and hear the victims of the Kurdish gassings, you dim bulb! OMG, the “Saddam WMD” video has been in my personal collection since it was available for pre-order about 6 months ago, and the entire DVD is heart-breaking. There is a woman in there, and a bit of her is shown on the ad on the Vent, whose son was gassed and his face nearly burned off. I heard people talking about running to shelters, having to pull the doors shut while hearing people screaming who were outside as the toxic gasses washed over them. So very sad… I sobbed and sobbed heavily the first time I watched this, and I still do to this day when I can bear to watch it again, and I encourage EVERY ONE of you to go to IraqiTruthProject.com and buy the DVD today! It’s the best $20 you will ever spend on your self-edification.

Thanks, Allah, for posting this.. you beat me to it, but I’m glad someone did. Just reminds me how irrelevant the leftists are.

MsUnderestimated on September 13, 2006 at 10:45 PM

you’re right RightWinged, the more these liberals spew their hatred for this country and it’s allies (i.e. the kurds)the better chance the Republicans will win the Senate / House & even the White House.

Starblazer on September 13, 2006 at 11:04 PM

I am going to have to deviate from the pack, and say I agree wholeheartedly with Arianna. I fail to see how liberating the Kurds helps even one iota in keeping Arianna at the center of everyone’s attention, or in making Hollywood celebrities like Arianna more, or in affirming Arianna’s ego, or in making Arianna a more effective starfucker. I think it’s high time we got our foreign policy priorities straight, after all.

Squid Vicious on September 13, 2006 at 11:14 PM

boy, another liberal terrorist appeaser – gee, what a surprise

Starblazer on September 13, 2006 at 11:17 PM

heh Squid, nailed it on the head

Wyrd on September 13, 2006 at 11:29 PM

So what?! Wow. Finally, at least a liberal says out loud what most of us knew already. They don’t care “one iota” about spreading democracy at all. They want to protect the rights of terrorists, but they could care less if a people who experienced genocidal attacks against them are liberated. She thinks that a genuine expression of thanks by these liberated people toward America is “sad”. If there is any instance when a liberal’s patriotism should be questioned, I think this should qualify. The Dems are not the “loyal opposition” anymore. They are a national disgrace. This video should be played over and over on television to illustrate the moral, ideological, and intellectual vacancy of the extreme Left. They are out of control. But, will there be outrage over this? Sadly, I fear there will only be silence.

CP on September 13, 2006 at 11:30 PM

I don’t know what the big deal is. She has simply said out loud what Liberals actually think.

Millions of Iraqis freed? So what.
Millions of Afghanis freed. So what.
Kurds no longer in fear of being gassed? So what.
Radical Muslims want to kill anyone who disagrees with them? So what.

George Bush wants to protect you and me from terrorists? Kill him!!

Careful there tiger, you don’t want anyone to say we’re putting flase words in their mouths do ya? ;)

SilverStar830 on September 14, 2006 at 12:32 AM

Did I say flase? I meant false… damn the “no preview before you submit” feature!

SilverStar830 on September 14, 2006 at 12:32 AM

What a “progressive” day it’s been:

1. Khatami preaches the execution of gays and the Harvard elites sit silent…
2. Arianna on Kurdish liberation “so what?”… and
3. Rosie equates ‘radical Christianity’ to ‘radical Islam’
4. Masses continue to clap in the POTUS assasination movie…

This mind wonders how we’re going to make it to Nov. 7 and what Arianna will do/say on Nov. 8…

Above all, the real enemy rejoyces. Rome took 300 years to decline – at this rate, the West won’t be that long, unfortunately.

Conservatives, independents and moderate Democrats, open your eyes wide and act, before it’s too late and our country and the free world are destroyed by utter insanity.

Entelechy on September 14, 2006 at 1:33 AM

Well Starblazer, I have been mocked by the “ethical libs” for my supposed bad behavior.

Catie96706 on September 14, 2006 at 2:52 AM

Anyone know why there isn’t a follow-up image to the one posted above by AP? Certainly Green Helmet came in to parade the body of that dead child around before Reuters stringers, perhaps putting it in an ambulance, then taking it back out and on to the ground to get cameras in a better position before doing it again.

RightWinged on September 14, 2006 at 3:41 AM

Arianna is an airhead . . . a rich airhead but nevertheless an airhead. Frequently I suspect that her IQ is less than the sum of her digits.

rplat on September 14, 2006 at 8:50 AM

You know what I love about her comments… The “so what?” shocked me but, she actually was for bypassing the Posse Comitatus Act and bringing the troops in Iraq home to be “re-deployed” to the ports and across the US! She was advocating turning the US into a semi-police state! She wants troops to be deployed the US folks, how would her liberal friends feel about that?

I have faith in the US Armed Forces but they are for fighting wars, not running security at US ports Adrianna!

mdconservative on September 14, 2006 at 9:39 AM

The RNC needs to put a national ad together that shows Arianna, Rosie, and Michael Moore, etal saying these obsurd things and run it in primetime. Or, is that against campaign finance reform????

pullingmyhairout on September 14, 2006 at 10:47 AM

Remember in the last national election the Dems were complaining that at first they couldn’t their message out on their candidate, which then morphed into the people are too stupid to understand our message.
To paraphrase President Bush, “The people hear you, and soon this whole country will reject you”.
Complain because they can’t get the message out then complain because they got their message and once the sane people truly hear it they reject it. Liberals do not take rejection very well. They go into long periods of denial. It is amazing that today 7 years after the defeat of Al Gore there are still groups trying to get recounts as if we are suddenly going to say like in the NFL, “Upon further review the play on the field as called is ….”

Exactly again. A plan for our soldiers- bring em home (cut and run) and line em up ..where? at the ports? In airports so she can bash them there? Profiling on the borders maybe?
Where is she from?
She really is below most standards of basic intelligence, a lobotomy might be in order.

shooter on September 14, 2006 at 11:26 AM

I’ve emailed O’Reily and Hannity continuously to complain about them allowing this idiot on their show. Who really CARES what she has to say? Here’s a plagiarist, liar, and person who entered a marriage of convenience, and we really care what she has to say? Are you kidding me?

Bah.

webproze on September 14, 2006 at 11:50 AM

if this doesn’t help the Republicans win the House / Senate & even the White House – then we’re all in trouble.

Cate96706 – why should you even care what liberals say about you, just let it go into one ear & out the other ear or you can tell them to either “Bite Me” or s.t.f.u.

Starblazer on September 14, 2006 at 12:42 PM

webproze – they have to have these morons on their shows to be “fair & balanced”. though i do agree with you

She’s born in Greece, that bastion of socialism, educated at Cambridge/England, married conservative (opportune union), became a ‘compassionate conservative’, fought like hell for her then-husband to become a conservative Sen. of California, he lost, then ran away with a man, they divorced, she reverted back to her natural liberalism. She’s back ‘home’.

She lives a few doors from him and his ‘male-wife’ now, with their two daughters. Maybe she’s a bit scorned but politically she was a conservative fake, for expediency and lots of money, for many, many years. She’s trying to ‘repent’ for her political guilt now.

Entelechy on September 14, 2006 at 1:18 PM

Arianna said “So what?” because we need to protect America, not the world. Hasn’t that been the conservative rallying cry for years. Besides, not to minimize the tragedy, but we’ve been protecting their a*ses ever since.

shackler on September 14, 2006 at 1:33 PM

Yes, that was the conservative position in the past. But even stick-in-the-mud Conservatives can learn from history. Waiting until Hitler became a world power was not a good move. We figured it out. Waiting until the Jihadists get the bomb, or WMDs, or take over Europe, or establish a national base of operations, or all of the above is not a good move.

And, sometimes, as unpleasant as it is, “protecting their a*ses” becomes a necessary part of protecting our own.

We just can’t hide between our two oceans anymore. (Nostalgic sigh)
