I’d rather remember the event than relive the low-brow mudslinging that went on between Republicans and Democrats.

My condolences to anyone who opted to watch “Path to 9/11″ out of spite for Democrats’ efforts to get it canceled. I also hear the Democrats don’t like smokers — 9/11 would be a great day to start the habit!

That’s the path this part of the story was on, until “Path to 9/11″. The 9/11 commission report has the events scattered all over and the average citizen doesn’t have time/interest to read thousands of pages – the media was derelict in not informing them.

One more item has been on my mind, regarding “equivalency” – AQ didn’t ming killing hundreds and wounding thousands, many Muslims, during the e embasst bombings – yet the Clinton Admin. stopped the one-time bombing of bin Laden because supposedly there were a few women/children moving into the camp and another time Pakistani princes present (who by all probability were plotting with him to kill us).

I cannot believe it’s been five years. I watched “9/11,” the outstanding documentary by the Naudet brothers. The images from that day are still powerful. Mostly they make me angry. Angry for what happened, and angry for how divisive……

Bottom line, all of our concept changed on that day 5 years ago. Things that are obvious now were not obvious then.

The Dems are howling merely because they desire to pin everything on the evil Bush and a basic portrayal of the decades of planning and activities of Al-Queda shows they were every bit as asleep at the wheel as everybody else. And claiming they did better is the only bullet in the security arsenal. This shows it’s a dud.

The media should let us know what led to the terrorist attacks, so that we can learn from our mistakes. The failures of the Clinton Admin. should be depicted accurately, and so should those of the Bush Admin.

It seems that the Sudan offered Bin Laden to Mr. Clinton at least once, but he declined to arrest him.

Former Clinton Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick seems to be the person who prevented the sharing of intelligence between the C.I.A. and the F.B.I., and yet served on the 9/11 Commission, a travesty and contradiction of interests.

During the impeachment hearings, Mr. Clinton bombed a pharmaceutical factory in the Sudan. The Defense Secretary, William Cohen, swore that the CIA had detected precursors of V-X nerve gas outside the factory. However, if the factory contained nerve gas, the missiles would’ve spread the gas throughout the city, killing thousands of people. Later, the CIA admitted that there were no weapons in the factory.

The Clinton Admin. seems to have warned people before firing the cruise missiles at camps in Afghanistan, for fear of killing Pakistani princes, along with Bin Laden.

Mr. Clinton failed to react to the 1993 bombing of the WTC.

Our failure in Mogadishu seems to have inspired Bin Laden.

The facts about Mr. Berger and Ms. Albright should speak for themselves. They were part of that Admin. and I’m ok with the scenes with/about them being removed.

Here’s the crux of it, ladies and gentlemen:

One of the movie’s biggest critics has been Richard Ben Veniste, a Democrat, who was also a member of the 9/11 Commission and said to often be at odds with Kean while the Commission was conducting its investigation and putting together its report.

Ben Veniste prevented the truth to make it into the 9/11 report, (therefore it never happened /sarc), the Clinton gang assumed that time would pass and we’d forget and not look into it deeper; Mr. Bush, being a gentlemen, never criticized Mr. Clinton; then came the 5 year anniversary and this little pest “Path to 9/11″

Among the inaccuracies alleged by Clinton is that while the 9/11 Commission was not critical of his efforts to apprehend al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, the movie insinuates that he was preoccuppied with fighting his impeachment over the Monica Lewinsky situation.

And, voila, we are reminded what could have been and what wasn’t prevented, if only…and all of a sudden the ‘curtain-hanging plans for Pelosi/Reid’ got a little tougher…and the legacy a little more stained.

I haven’t had an opportunity to post on the ABC miniseries “The Path to 9/11″, and it would have been pointless trying to keep up with the coverage of the folks at HotAir. Even as we speak, AllahPundit has posted……

This is the time of year I dread. The fall of the towers is etched in my memories. I really don’t need to see it again so I am going to avoid CBS’s 9/11. Docudramas tend to mix fact and fiction, so ABS’s ‘The Path to 9/11′ is another I will avoid….

I checked the KGTV/ABC local San Diego schedule yesterday and it had:

Sept. 10, from 8-10:30 and
Sept. 11, from 8-10:45 (docudrama, with 15 min. interruption for the President’s speech)

Now Monday’s schedule shows 8-10:15p.m.

8-10:30p.m. for Sept. 10 and
8-10:15p.m. for Sept. 11
