Video: Talking pig holds news conference at National Cathedral
posted at 11:42 pm on September 7, 2006 by Allahpundit
Sham-elected “reformist” fundamentalist Mohammed Khatami gave his big speech in D.C. tonight, but if there’s video out there, I’m unaware of it. I’m keeping tabs on C-SPAN; they don’t have the speech itself, but they do have the press conference he gave at the Cathedral earlier this afternoon. Copy/paste the following URL to watch:
rtsp://video.c-span.org/project/intl/intl090706_khatami.rm
For once, Darth Vader was only the second-most evil guy inside the building.
He’ll be at Harvard on Sunday to help “further the dialogue.” C-SPAN’s carrying that live at 4 p.m.; we’ll have video highlights afterwards. Expect him to take a strong “I love America, aside from the eight million things that are wrong with it” line. Like a member of the nutroots, but a lot more mellow.
While we’re on the subject of Islamic fundamentalism, the Saudis have thought it over and decided that their culture isn’t quite misogynistic enough. Problem solved! Meanwhile, the lure of Canada grows ever stronger for American leftists alienated by the Bushitler. And here’s the new plan for Ground Zero, which I think sucks. It looks like a backdrop in “Revenge of the Sith.”
Sunday at 4, baby. While Harvard’s having tea with Khatami.

Pig, on top of roasted pig on a spit – you’re so d–n good!

Seriously AP. Do you ever sleep?
Valiant on September 7, 2006 at 11:49 PM
You know, AP, what would have really been good, instead of a pig on a spit, is a pigs head on a stick. You get the literary props for the whole Lord of the Flies thing, as well as the jab at Khatami. Cheers.

Khatami was also at UVa today. A number of students did not take to kindly to his appearance in the Dome Room of the Rotunda. And I’m sure Mr. Jefferson must be spinning in his grave.

Is there any significance to the symbol on the front of the podium? or just a podium they had lying around at the Cathedral? I’m not in a position to zoom the photo right now.

Oh I get it, they all dress alike.
So did the wolf in lambs clothing.

Wow, I agree, those WTC buildings are fuggly.

So he was at UVA? Living out here in HI, I was under the impression he was only going to the Cathedral and Harvard. Bet it was interesting to watch though. I’m sure Mr. Jefferson did spin in his grave. Is UVA still somewhat conservative? (my friend graduated from there 20 years ago & said it was when he was there) I guess he was choppered to DC, it can be a bit of a trek from Charlottesville to DC, especially going around the Beltway. Wonder who paid the freight.

What a shame we don’t see any either Muslims or ex-Iranians protesting this peice of excrement presence on our soil.
As a catholic, recovering, we were taught about the five major religions. I can understand why people of faith would want to reachout for understanding, peace, and tolerance.
But this is a perverse version of Islam will all the intolerance, terror, and understanding of death by submission. They’re words.
So I can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t reconize the face of evil and reject it for all it’s worthless self.
He’s not here to reach out. He’s here to look for weakness.

Wow this is disgusting.

Im surprised Bush didn’t invite him to the white house….he invites the same type of trash: Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Elton John and his boyfriend……….
After all, our all wise Pres. believes it is a religion of ‘peace’!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad the Ford administration put a ban on assassination of foreign leaders back in 1976. With Mohammed Khatami touring UVA and Harvard this week, and Ahmadinejab scheduled to speak at the UN in NYC, we could easily whack these two Iranian kooks right here on our own soil.
There may be a way around this ban. Why don’t we invite these two Iranian pr**ks to the vacant lot where the Twin Towers used to stand, then have a previously cleared out building “accidentally” fall on their sorry heads. We could make it a televised Pay-per-View event with all proceeds going to the victims of 9/11.
Of course we would need someone trusted by these two, to lure and accompany them to the site. No problem, the Democrat side of the senate is filled with qualified candidates, as are the faculties of our universities.

Facism is not a religion. Why is this swine in “our” National Cathedral?
dallas94 on September 8, 2006 at 9:43 AM
Word.
Or take a vacation…?

It’s horrible. I am one of those New Yorkers (in the minority, perhaps) that believes in honoring the memory of the deceased in true NYC fashion: rebuilding the Twins to 150 stories. But what do I know?

I can’t believe this guy was even allowed into our country. He should have been taken into custody and put on the first plane to Gitmo as soon as he landed.

What a Wonderful Idea – encourage the Chamberlain Left and the Moonbat to move to Canada!
They would fit right in with the Canadians, especially Quebec. Perhaps we could offer them a free one way ticket!

Did Hermann Goring get to speak at the National Cathedral
and who are the two peace creeps with the fascist mullah.
I cannot decide who has the most charming dress on.

I’d like to tell him where he can stick that finger. Oh I’m sorry. How insensitive of me. It’s on his right hand and everyone knows he can’t use his right hand….there!!!

I. Must. Be. Tolerant. There, I said it – I feel so serene now.

And did he make a tour of the world trade center site, with a smile on his face??
gary on September 8, 2006 at 2:05 PM
I’m so glad there will be a rally for rebuilding the Towers the RIGHT way. It’s a no-brainer!
Speaking of the Harvard talk, what would Friday be without some levity on the subject?
Read the whole glorious article here.

Chuck Colson had an interesting article on this event at his Breakpoint site.
