St. Cindy fantasizes about killing Bush — as an infant

posted at 1:05 pm on September 7, 2006 by Allahpundit

“Peace mom,” they call her:

The right-wingers who think nothing but the worst of Cindy Sheehan probably won’t change their minds after reading Peace Mom. In the book, which hits bookstores September 19, the antiwar icon admits she has fantasized about going back in time and killing the infant George W. Bush, thereby preventing the Iraq War.

Defining deviancy down: it’s no longer terribly outré to wish for Bush’s death or even to dramatize it. To be a truly elite opponent of the Bushitler, you’ve got to add a little spice.

Like saying you’d strangle him in his crib.

gwb-baby.jpg

Nice job by the kids at Radar, too, in studiously excusing themselves from the Sheehan hate. She says she wants to kill Bush, and they pass it along as something objectionable uniquely to right-wingers. Ain’t it the truth, boys.

Speaking of Hitler and defining deviancy down, here’s how the moron in charge of Pennsylvania’s chapter of the AFL-CIO recently described Rick Santorum:

“Some see him as Hitler, ‘I’m right’ and ‘we have to go kill them’ and ‘the hell with the poor and the working class and we have to protect the rich,” the newspaper quoted George.

Adolf Hitler: class warrior. Too bad about that third criterion, too; without it, you know who’d be the spitting image of Hitler in George’s eyes?

Update: Ace says it’s time to start threatening some Democrats. I’m outraged!

Update: Texas Rainmaker reminds us of another one of Mother Sheehan’s threats.

Has anyone ever seen FDR and Hitler together?

Interesting…

frankj on September 7, 2006 at 1:15 PM

and this is surprising how? You’ld think that a third of the planet had been wiped out, and that there’s no real cause behind the war on terrorism with the way these people talk.

One can only hope that… strike that. I’m not going there.

Gee, what a surprise. She “fantasizes” about killing a young G.W. Bush in order to prevent a war that cost her sons life. That’s sick, unnatural, and completely beyond comprehension. She should be tortured, lest she get her hands on time travel technology.

THeDRiFTeR on September 7, 2006 at 1:17 PM

Filthy, disgusting idiot woman. I blogged this story too. Ya know, for someone that opposes all war, why wouldnt she use the time machine to go back to Sept 1, 2001 and report that arab men are ready to attack the world trade center? Why wouldnt she go back to warn FDR about the attack on Pearl Harbor?

She is full of hate, and is a loathsome foul person.

Yes it is, you jackass. She could have fantasized about killing (a) the guy who actually killed her son, (b) Saddam, (c) Bin Laden, or (d) any other number of guilty parties. Who does she blame? Bush. Just like you. You can’t fucking wait to blame your own side for every misery that befalls us. You’re repulsive.

Allahpundit on September 7, 2006 at 1:22 PM

Drifter:

Note that she didn’t fantasize about killing, say, Saddam Hussein. Or Osama bin Laden. Just Bush. Fantasizing about killing dictators and terrorists isn’t on the woman’s radar, though they are ultimately responsible for starting the war that cost her son’s life. (He volunteered for the military, by the way, and believed in the mission. Just throwing it out there.) But fantasizing about killing President Bush for standing up to Hussein and bin Laden is peachy.

You obviously don’t have a problem with that, Drifter. Explain.

Bryan on September 7, 2006 at 1:22 PM

She is a disgusting pig. I used to feel sorry for her because I thought she must have lost her mind due to her grief but not anymore. Please, those of you who are on the left who think I am terrible and mean, stuff it. The parents who have lost their sons and daughters who agree with this war are set aside as trolls for W.

THeDRiFTeR on September 7, 2006 at 1:36 PM

Our basest instincts? That’s rich, considering the base instincts you’re prepared to explain away. Fantasizing about killing Bush as an infant? If you don’t think that’s repulsive, then you are.

Bryan on September 7, 2006 at 1:42 PM

Yet she’ll still hold audience at Camp Casey, get dragged around the world and shown off by Code Pink, and rack up thousands of dollars in speaking fees paid over by willing jackasses who are going balls (if they have them) out to do one thing only: make sure the U.S. loses in the War on Terror.

I’m very concerned about people like yourself, Allah who don’t have nothing but endless sympathy for a woman like Cindy Sheehan.

Honest to Christ. Do you have children?

I’m not smart enough to debate you point to point on this, but I have the feeling, I have the feeling about 60 percent of what you say is crap. But I don’t know that for a fact.

The Ugly American on September 7, 2006 at 2:05 PM

I don’t think chilling out is a good idea. The Bush administration has been chilling out on the anti-war nonsense for years, and look where it’s gotten them. A third of the country thinks he had something to do with 9-11 directly, and you can get a majority agreeing with that sometimes. Going silent in the face of the loons is not the answer.

The fact is, chuckleheads like Drifter need to be held to account for what they say. They need to be called on their garbage and have their thoughts exposed. If they’re going to push, we ought to push back. Drifter in particular is a person who left America for Europe and is now denouncing us from afar. If he’s going to do that, he should know that he’s walking into a buzzsaw if he tries it here.

Fogpig on September 7, 2006 at 2:33 PM

Bryan, I sense your dismay. I agree some, like me for example suffer from Foot-in-Mouth disease and yes, the Bush admin has been, to say the least, cool about it’s critisim.

But I believe Bush still has Capitol to spend and I won’t worry till 08 when we go through this cycle again. But I do worry about this Sept. though.

I hear the reports about 1/3 of the country, but look at where the data is coming from… by that I mean, nobody polled me

If there really is that many people, that stupid, that naive, or evian, bottled or not willing to believe that, then I’m not in reality but in Cindys world. Shutttttter the thought

It’s just, well, most of the 2/3 of us can see BS a mile away, we just don’t have the patience to listen to it. So I tend to tune it out. Maybe I should be more tuned.

Kini on September 7, 2006 at 2:34 PM

Fogpig on September 7, 2006 at 2:34 PM

From Ace:

The left has decided that talk of murdering politicians they don’t like is now acceptable. Cute, even. I have long been against such talk — including on this site, directed at people I personally loathe — but I have to say I’m getting to the point where I’m less willing to avoid it if the other side refuses to abide by similar common-sense restraints.

Don’t hold your breath. I’ve begun a count on how many prominent politicians/leaders from the Left or MSM elites, or pundits, will denounce this.

I don’t think chilling out is a good idea.

Fully support you Bryan – enough is enough. There is or s/b decency about certain subjects (like not making political speeches at funerals). This one is certainly one which has crossed all lines. If we let this stand then all goes. Isn’t it the Left who’s supposed to be so ‘elite’, and ‘progressive’, and ‘nunanced’, and ‘sophisticated’?

The timing of this book couldn’t be better! One is judged by those who ‘brung’ us and those whe hang out with!

Entelechy on September 7, 2006 at 2:47 PM

Anyone ever see that twilight zone episode about a guy that travels through time to kill hitler? (maybe it was a woman, their were 2 like that they I can remember) Basicy he/she tries to kill infant hittler and could not do it.
This seems to have been a recuring theme in time travel fiction in the 60′s. Sometimes it was an adult hitler, other times it was a child hitler.
Were Rod Serling and the other authors sick also? Cours ethe big diffenrce is, you kill Hittler and you might avert WW2. You kill an infant Bush and you might usher in a world controlled by islamic fundamentalist.

Cindy Shehan is a repulsive little monster though. She is standing on her own sons corpse and basking in the adoration of the crowds. I agree with Allah, she should have fanatsized about killing the person responible for Casey’s death. But in her warped and pychotic state their is only one person to blame, and thats George Bush.
I seriously can’t even hate that woman anymore. She is too pathetic for hate. I predict that as her fame dwindles and she loosing that all empowering adoration she craves so badly we will see here self destructing and becoming even more outragouse. Eventually she will be twitching in the corner crieing sofly for just one person to listen to her, to adore her, to think she matters, becasue, after all, she lost her son, and that should make her important, right?

One of our dearest friends lost her son in June of 2005 in Iraq…..I wish you all could see the remarkable courage, strength and dignity that she has….and how she truly supports our troops overseas…

She has done some amazing projects and continues to do so….

of course that does not make the news only the demented rantings of mother shehan does…

robo on September 7, 2006 at 3:25 PM

Cindy Sheehan is nothing more than a whiney; publicity hungry; traitious, wanna-be victim. The real hero was her son, Casey, who she has disgraced with her antics. Casey is the real victim, Casey is the one who died. Casey volunteered to go back to Iraq, and did so, and died. That was tragic, as is the lost of any of our service men and women.

However, the monument of hate that his mother built for him is nothing but shameful. I feel for Casey, I feel nothing but contempt for his mother.

E L Frederick on September 7, 2006 at 3:36 PM

When the fame, fortune, and her name in lights all begin to fade away, I can’t help but think that Mother Sheehan will be found dead in her garage from carbon monoxide poisoning. A note blaming Bush will be found as well.

And it just goes to show that the left is soft on the Temporal Prime Directive… She’d probably save Edith Keeler too.

That says it all. As for Mama Sheehan, this comes as no surprise. It’s the same old crap with the liberals – it’s all Bush’s fault. There is no evil in this world, other than U.S. conservatives (especially neo-cons). Therefore, they are the only ones that deserve to be insulted, tortured, killed, etc. Everybody else is just here on Earth trying to live life and get along, man. Fu*#ing Republicans.

In some ways I hate to see the voice of dissent disappear. Without an opposing view their can be no growth, just stagnation as ideas fester and become inbred.

Then again, a disenting opinion has to be rationaly thought out and logicaly presented. So in this regard we haven’t lost anything.

As an exercise some of us can always play the devils advocate. As far as debate tools go that is fairly powerfull.

Wyrd on September 7, 2006 at 4:44 PM

Ace is right, it is time to let the left know that their Bush murder fantasies will no longer be tolerated. It is time to respond.

It is clear to me that today’s liberal Democratic left is acting just like the SA Brownshirts from 1932. Their shrill, vicious attacks and their open hatred of the Bush and the Republicans go way beyond the cute label we’ve assigned to it, Bush Derangement Syndrome.

Well, their “derangement” is crossing the line into threatening to start an actual Putsch should their secret wish — the “assassination fantasy” — come true.

In my opinion, it is as if the left and the liberal Democrats are trying to jack up their courage to actually try it.

Allah is Da Man, Bryan makes the great point, which many of us have felt for years, that Bush, and republican officials need to strike back at the deluded left.

I believe that they could point out how Sheehan is definitely hurting, that she thus needs professional help that her friends seem loath to get for her, and she needs to come to terms that her little boy became a man, made a mans decision, and died doing what he wanted to do. Such is life in the real World.

Michael Moore should be blasted for taking advantage of a woman in a weakened emotional state instead of seeking to get her the help that she so apparently, and desperately needs.

For crying out loud! That woman is looking foreward to living in a frelling tree house! Can no one see that this woman is psychotic?
