CNN’s Internet correspondent Abbi Tatton is at it again; this time exposing yet another hold on a government waste transparency bill. Kudos to our friends at Porkbusters who got yet another mention by Tatton.

Why are our elected officials so damn scared of us having easy access to information about what they are doing on Capitol Hill with our money?

Stevens removed his hold and put it right back on. There is yet another anonymous Dem with a hold on this bill.

Wow, Stevens had his hold lifted for a whole 4 hours before reinstating it. What fiscal discipline! Common-sense Alaskans should send him the way of Murkowski in the ’08 GOP primary. Speculation is that the new Dem with the hold on the bill is on the appropriations committee. The members of this committee are listed below. Do not fear, the mighty Majority Leader Frist has promised to bring the bill to the floor anyway. Remember how he plowed that enforcement-only immigration bill through the Senate and exercised the nuclear option when he really needed something? We are on our own in fighting the porkers.

Stevens released his hold AGAIN. Lets hope it is longer than 4 hours.

Congratulations, the bill passes unamimously tonight in the Senate! Now we hve to make sure the bill is not gutted in conference.

Valiant on September 7, 2006 at 9:16 PM

Er, that would be “unanimously”
