I may be worn out about the details of any one particular picture/story, but I think there’s much more worth writing about concerning the process of debunking pictures and the distrust of the media.

I want to see people continue to question pictures–whether of rusted vent holes or Katie Couric (hmmm)–because it’s important to keep up the pressure on the media and let them know we continue to be very skeptical.

I also would love to see the next step of blogging/reporting: can’t someone interview Israili officials about their missiles or get Sarah Smiles and Martin Chulov on the phone (or send AP on an Aussie fact-finding mission) to question them about all the holes in the story. Reuters only action has been to pull what’s-his-names’ photos, right? Bet they are hoping the attention dwindles to nothing.

I don’t know what exactly what else can be done to advance the story, but I wanna see something! Please.

I am NOT WORN OUT. This fauxtography needs to be exposed where ever it takes place. If we don’t continue to hammer against it, it will grow and become more persuasive. I salute Zombie and all the others that have tried so hard to debunk fauxtography.
If we don’t fight against this, it will only become more prevalent…

I agree, this story is becoming boring. What amazes me is that it was ever this big as it isnt anything “new”.
Photos have been manipulated and staged since the beginning of photojournalism. For it to have taken this long to realize that propoganda is alive and well is the story.

Ambulancegate has been done for some time, unless you count watching the deniers wriggle and squirm. There are some pretty instructive lessons in all that, so they bear watching. It really is more interesting seeing the traditional jew-hating suspects in the media and NGO’s spin and obfuscate than it is watching Pallywood/Hezbollywood ply their craft. If you’re seen one corpse fall off a stretcher then get up and walk away, you’ve seen them all.

I’m worn out on ReutersVangate unless some new info comes along. Judging from their silence, Reuters is too.

I am weary of faxtography and the like. Report it when we catch it. But the thrill is gone. The last several weeks have revealed the Arab media and their proxies for what they are. Bravo blogosphere.
