This sucks, doesn’t sound like that movie will be playing anywhere near me… and my city’s Mayor Bob Kiss (Burlington, VT) recently proposed making the city a “sanctuary city” for illegals… Luckily the city council and attorney had look in to it weren’t down, but the simple fact that he can propose such a thing without being tossed out of office for encouraging massive criminal activity is beyond me.

RightWinged on August 31, 2006 at 10:02 AM

Great vent.

I’ve never wanted to see a documentary as much as I do now. Unfortuntaely, it likely won’t be showing in my neck of the woods. Hopefully the creators will put it up on the web, for sale or otherwise.

Enoxo on August 31, 2006 at 10:03 AM

A mexican flag hosted over a post office? Was anybody arrested for this? Since making bad jokes at a federal building will like as not get your butt in hot water, I would hope somebody went to jail..oh never mind. We don’t put illegals in jail.

austinnelly on August 31, 2006 at 10:05 AM

We might as well be living in the Soviet Union ca. 1960 in regard to how the MSM portrays immigration, particularly illegal immigration, compared to the reality on the ground. I don’t think Pravda was ever worse than the MSM is been here on this issue. The MSM and the cultural elite truly hate the US as it stands now and think its replacement by a multiracial state without a moral or cultural core would be an improvement. Besides, the illegal immigration provides cheap labor to supervise the children and cut the lawns of the cultural elite.

I hope this coming movie is seen by everyone who has a chance to do so. Unfortuntately, I cannot imagine it commercially reaching anywhere close to here as this is one of the most remote areas in the U.S. although it is being transformed for the worse from illegal immigration.

ptolemy on August 31, 2006 at 10:15 AM

Annex Mexico, they have oil.

If the borders don’t matter, how about we move them south 200 miles?

Wander on August 31, 2006 at 10:21 AM

The extreme arrogance of the illegal alien supporters is absolutely disgusting. What would happen if we marched into Mexico and hoisted a U.S. flag? Not only would the perps be tossed into a squalid Mexican jail, but the MSM would paint them as vigilantes, and the U.N. would get into the act, calling them invaders and asking for (and getting) a resolution calling for sanctions against the evil U.S.

Like others, the documentary won’t be anywhere near me (Pittsburgh); bug if/when they sell it on the internet, I’ll be first in line.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention HotAir!

There are several very good independent films being produced and released – but to very limited audiences. A couple recent good films were posted on google video and youtube video – only to be tagged as offensive or pulled altogether.

I do hope this video (as well as the others) will be posted online or made available for sale.

Immigration is an issue that is in most of our back yards now. Even though I am not in a border state, there are 44,000 illegal aliens in my county alone. There are 2 ICE agents in the entire state. The tin ear of the DC elite will not go unpunished this November. I expect the problem to be number 1 or 2 in the Contract with America (version 2008 or later) the GOP will need to get Congress back. I totally expect the shameless Dems to run to the right of the Republicans on this issue to secure the White House in ‘08. If I thought they were serious, I would switch parties.

Valiant on August 31, 2006 at 10:28 AM

This issue has made me dizzy to the point of nausea for a couple of decades. Of late, I’m speechless on the subject, save for a narrow question: Why is J.D. Hayworth in danger of losing his House seat??? Unbelievable…

A note to the film’s producers and editors: Leave Mel Gibson on the cutting room floor.

Aunt B on August 31, 2006 at 10:32 AM

If the borders don’t matter, how about we move them south 200 miles?

Not necessary. Carlos Mencia says that the reason they’re all coming here is because they hate other Mexicans. If we let them all come it won’t be long before they look around and go “there’s to many Mexicans here” and head to Canada. Obviously this is just a dumb joke, but I couldn’t help myself.

RightWinged on August 31, 2006 at 10:33 AM

to clarify, it truly is a Mencia joke, not mine.. I just felt compelled to add it to the discussion

RightWinged on August 31, 2006 at 10:34 AM

ptolemy on August 31, 2006 at 10:15 AM

Hmm… the current MSM elite, they would have been young college students back in the 60s?

Any wonder, then, where the MSM elite learned to parrot Pravda?

This MSM problem is a monster of our very own making.

Doesn’t this make us proud of our government subsidies universities now?

Lawrence on August 31, 2006 at 10:54 AM

Why is J.D. Hayworth in danger of losing his House seat???

The Abramoff controversey has garnered some traction in the race. Although close in the polls, his margin of victory will probably be much wider because of sampling bias

Valiant on August 31, 2006 at 10:57 AM

Then there’s the fact that Mexico, by all rights, should be a wonderful place to live and work. They don’t lack resources, they just haven’t managed to parlay them into opportunity. Eliminate their pathetic federal government and convert the place to the 51st through 55th States. Unleash the capitalists!

I like it. Our new southern border would be far smaller and easier to enforce.

Pablo on August 31, 2006 at 11:23 AM

Wander,

I was getting solicited to send my money to “help support Israel”, which I prefer to do with my votes? So, as a form of support, I sent them my detailed proposal for “The Final Solution.”

It is a (tongue in cheek) plan to take over Mexico and move Israel there. It certainly does address many important issues:
- fixes the middle east problem,
- gets us more oil away from our current coastlines,
- solves the illegal immigration problem, or at least moves it quite a bit south,
- provides Mexicans with what they seem to want: US citizenship,
- gets us within sniper range of Hugo Chavez (heh),
- gives us “hands on” management of our Mexican vacation resorts.

Give it some thought; maybe this is an idea whose time has come…

I love it! Aferall didn’t we win that war in 1848! If so, then the oil is ours!!!

Dread Pirate Roberts VI on August 31, 2006 at 11:35 AM

Thanks, Valiant. I, somehow, managed to delete Abramoff from my memory bank.

Let’s hope your prediction proves true.

Aunt B on August 31, 2006 at 12:48 PM

Great Vent! It won’t be anywhere near me either but I am going to try and add it to my netlix queue. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with Bush and all the others on this. I don’t know what jobs he’s talking about that Americans won’t do. I find it sad that these idiots were able to hoist their flag at our post office and then bash those who want to secure the borders. I also think that church in Chicago needs to have it’s tax exempt status revoked if they are harboring a fugitive from justice. The fact that she has an anchor baby here is of no concern to me. She’s a law breaker and what happens to the kiddies of law breakers, they either have to go live with relatives or they go into the state system. If it’s good enough for the children of our own crime committing citizens it’s good enough for all these anchor babies. Why are they given such deference? Their parent(s) are criminals too and many have committed other crimes besides crossing our border. Before I’m called mean and heartless, listen up those with your head in the clouds-it may very well be too late to do anything about this problem but we need to do something about it. They’re not just in the border states, they’re all over GA, the Carolinas, VA (which I’ve told the anchor triplet story before), fly over country. In the old days there were ports of entry which we had to come through. As much as we love our daughter we would not have been allowed in because of her “feeble mindedness” and we would have had to go home or split the family. I am absolutely sick of being called a mean spirited racist because I want my borders secured. What will it take for that to happen, I hate to think about it!

Catie96706 on August 31, 2006 at 12:50 PM

Great Vent Michelle! This is the type of reporting we really need!

Don’t hold your breath waiting for this type of reporting on MSM – it may be hazardous to your health.

Laws seem to be selectively applied – minority reconquista criminal behavior seems to be ignored – and those that are not minorities are held to strict adherence. We can expect reconquista seperationist criminal behavior to increase.

heroyalwhyness – what a great post! The video you described, Relentless, by Honestreporting is excellent! It was sad that the other video, Obsession, was not available. Do you have a link where it is available as Relentless was ?

omegaram on August 31, 2006 at 1:15 PM

The last line of the trailer says: “what you’ve got is a perfect storm”. We truly are watching a ground swell of illegals and illegal activities that have been set into motion that we may not be able to do anything about in the near future. Once the storm hits there will be no going back. Just like with the jihadist they won’t care if your liberal or not you will be playing by their rules. RECONQUISTA!!!!!!

Bic on August 31, 2006 at 1:39 PM

Same thing, different day. The United States of America does NOT need immigrants, legal or not, who have NO INTENTION of “melting” into the Americanism “pot”.

People want to come to the only real “land of opportunity”, to better theirs and their families lives by taking advantage of the working opportunities and endeavoring to become American citizens, great, line em up and let’s get as many as we can handle in here.

People who want to come here to sponge off the rest of the American citizens, to reek lawless havoc, to try to build up little mini me duplicates of the wasteland Nations that they came from…go away.

The answer to the immigration crises is simple, apparently far too simple for lawmakers to accomplish. Guard the borders to the best of our ability, not like we act like we are trying to do but DO IT. Register ALL non citizens immediately by setting a date for them to register after which ANYONE found in this Country unregistered will be IMMEDIATELY deported, no questions asked. Those who register begin learning English as a requirement for them to stay, and they are welcome to become citizens through some timetable and learning/job training function, but they will NEVER be given the right to vote here, EVER. Their children who are born here, American citizens like everyone else.

Illegal immigration and Iraq are the two issues in this Fall’s elections. The Dems are going to focus solely on Iraq but wait and see..illegals are going to be a big, big issue.

labwrs on August 31, 2006 at 2:21 PM

The movie’s website isn’t loading for me for some reason…

Well, be that as it may, Michelle said it’s playing in my neck of the woods! I’ll be there to see it. I guess I’ll bring my camera and get there early to take lots of pic’s of the protesters.

I happened to locate “Obsession” via flv player link – unsure about version, but I’m playing it now and it appears to be the one I viewed on google a few weeks ago.

You need to go to this link to download the movie and the software to play it.

Perhaps someone will upload it to YouTube.

heroyalwhyness on August 31, 2006 at 4:18 PM

omegaram -link for obsession is where you can pre-order a 60 minute pre-release edition for $19.95 directly. Films by Honest Reporting are worth the investment and we must support the folks at Honest Reporting to encourage them to produce more in the future.

heroyalwhyness on August 31, 2006 at 4:24 PM

This link just has to be added whenever there’s a discussion about illegal immigration.

Isn’t it just crazy that, if given citizenship, Mexican illegal immigrants will be able to vote in Mexico and here? Talk about speeding up the reconquista. Sheesh.

NTWR on August 31, 2006 at 5:00 PM

What does “ice, baby, ice” mean?

Tanya on August 31, 2006 at 9:30 PM

For those worried that the movie doesn’t play in your area…

Two days ago John and Ken (radio AM 640 LA/Burbank) had one of the producers as a guest.

He said that he expects most people, who are interested, to view the movie via DVD, which they plan to release soon.

Entelechy on August 31, 2006 at 9:33 PM

Ok, so we have a great movie that few will see. So what?

We need someone to organize a day [week?] of sending e-mails, make telephone calls, and do whatever it takes to let our Senators know that we demand action NOW yto correct ILLEGAL Immigration, not after they get re-elected.

I hope one of the fine Hot Air group will post it if someone gets it started. I’ll do my best to get the word out should the need arise.

DannoJyd on August 31, 2006 at 10:55 PM

The movie, which makes its national premiere in Los Angeles tomorrow, in Washington on Sept. 13 and on DVD in October, tells the story of illegal immigration

Reading the profile of one of the producers of “Border War,” Bosse is depicted as a high-profile Republican congressional investigator and conservative activist.

On DVD in OCT? The midterm election cycle is heating up now – why wait?

heroyalwhyness on August 31, 2006 at 11:16 PM

ICE = Immigration & Customs Enforcement

Even more ineffective than INS was. And it really chaps my hide to have to admit that Clinton was better at hitting employers of illegals than Bush ever thought about being.

I don’t get it. I don’t want to hear that we’re fighting over there so we don’t have to over here. With wide open borders we will be fighting over here.

ChelleFiche on August 31, 2006 at 11:36 PM

Isn’t ICE some kind of special Border Patrol unit? I guess they were chanting it at the illegals to annoy them. I know it worked on me…I’ve had that damn song in my head all day…rollin’ in my 5.0 got my rag top down so my hair can blow; girlies on stand by waiting just to say hi..did you stop? no, just drove by..kept on…argh..stop stop!
