I think that Stevens discounts bloggers way too much.

“Senator Stevens has always preferred to handle this at the staff level or member-to-member,” said Mr. Saunders [a Stevens spokesman], referring to the hold. “He doesn’t like running to the blogosphere or the media.”

Translation: Mr. Stevens doesn’t like running away from the blogosphere, or the media. Too bad for you, Porky!

Pity that the beautiful state of Alaska is represented by Mr. Attempted Hidden Pork for another 2 years.

Glorious that his attempt has backfired and now, hopefully, the initiative will be voted into law, for all citizents to view and judge. He’s probably hated by a few other senators who’d have liked to vote against it – no moore now!
