We gave a lot both to the Red Cross and to my church which actually sent people from HI to help rebuild. The DA had an excellent oppoortunity to explain his conduct and results on national TV. He instead gives foundation to the charge of incompetence by becoming hostile when reasonable questions about his performance are given. Out of all that happened in New Orleans he only prosecutes 30 in one year?

New Orleans needs a serious housecleaning – the Mayor, the DA, the entire public administration. Somehow I don’t think that is going to happen, their theme of “Chocolate City” seems to have a majority of voter support in the New Orleans area.

UUUGGGHHH, like many of you I am so sick and tired of hearing about the Chocolate City! Some Dem hack was on Fox earlier this morning my time and he was yapping about the fact that MS is rural and NOLA is urban and that the fact that MS has their act together and doesn’t complain, doesn’t mean a thing. I can’t believe these fools feel that it’s the government’s responsibility to do what they should be doing themselves. However, at the same time I’m not surprised. As for Brinkley, he is a Dem hack.

While you’re considering the source, do keep in mind that Brinkley is well known locally as a political hack. John Kerry’s bio, Tour of Duty, is a book he’s more well known for than Deluge.

In all fairness, I can totally understand his office being utterly over their heads.

With only about half of former N. O. residents having returned, I would think their tasks would be easier for the District Attorney, and as the question concerned a comment made by U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales you would think he would have an answer ready.
