This Haditha investigation has taken way too long, and that leads me to believe it is being pushed by politicians demanding that someone be held accountable for just doing their jobs. It takes time to create evidence.

Bingo. I strongly suspect that they don’t have anywhere near enough evidence to consider charges on these Marines, but the Marine Corps brass is so spineless and so hopelessly cowed by the Murthanoids and the media that they are going to drag this out as long as possible.

Is it any wonder the Marines are having to call people involuntarily back to active duty? Who the hell would want to serve when your superiors are going to sell you down the river for merely doing your job (after they’ve tied your hands behind your back)?
