To tell you the truth I found the premise of that event completly absurd---a SCHOLARLY look at humor. I don't think you can have a serious discussion panel on humor. It just doesn't work. And this one as described in my story was definitely boring except for the part about Florentiev. Boren's wife (or maybe it was his girlfriend) really annoyed me with the proprietary way she acted over the visitors from the Soviet Union.
