Bethany, great topic. Talk about misguided! This idiot thinks that by obstructing a police investigation, he’s taking a shot at the President? What the hell does that have to do with it? Bethany is right. But one thing she doesn’t say is, not only is he obstructing the investigation, he’s denying justice for the people who’s property was damaged or destroyed. “Justice for all” isn’t just he title of a Metallica album, doofus…it’s part of our guiding principals. Think about those people instead of your own political agenda. (Not that he’s actually going to care about anyone other than himself, but I had to say it.)
Holy hot videobloggers, Batman! Sparkle and Bethany? The gauntlet has been thrown down, left blogosphere. Nicely done, Bethany and other half of realVerse (whose name I know not). Look forward to tomorrow’s!

I loved the end of the vent as well (yes, I actually heard and comprehended the subject matter therein) when she referred to what’s happening now to the ‘journalists’ as blowback. ‘Poetic Justice’ is another name for the same thing.
Bethany hit the nail on the head; by trying to hide behind the protections of the press, Josh Wolf is potentially damaging those same protections for journalists who may really need them.
I guess when Bryan does his videos I am supposed to *sigh* geeee guys! *lol*
Great vent Bethany!

Those of us who are familiar with realVerse are well aware of the absolute hotness of Bethany. I never miss an episode!

Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but Wolf looks like the kind of guy who might enjoy being in jail….
I wonder, is Wolf’s lawyer working for free? I guess so as he seems hostile to people getting paid for their work.
A. Admit it, say you are sorry, and move on.
B. Admit it, ask how to make restitution.
C. Admit it, try to learn from it, and accept your punishment.
C. Blame George Bush.
Great Vent, Bethany. The arrogance of the media always makes a fine target – it’s good to see prosecutors and judges who are willing to suffer some bad press for doing their jobs.
It hasn’t always been that way. I used to be on the PR staff of a public university. After one of our sports teams won a national championship, students on the campus celebrated with a bonfire. An unsanctioned bonfire.
They pretty much burned everything they could get their hands on. Benches, signs and an antique snowmobile were all torched in the middle of the campus mall. The news reporters were there, getting some great shots of the drunken destruction.
When we asked whether we could see the raw footage, we were told no and no one on the campus or in the DA’s office was willing to fight the local tv stations over it. We had to tape all of the news broadcasts that week and deliver them to public safety, who pored over them for familiar faces.
That was almost a decade ago. I’m willing to bet they wouldn’t get away with it these days.
Wow – talk about photogenic! Hey, Michelle, you’d better get back here quick – whether or not it’s her intention, Bethany’s apt to steal your crown while you’re away …
What a specimen this guy’s lawyer was; he’s the incarnation of why I’ve come to despise the legal profession. Bethany, thanks for reminding me of why it was that I changed careers.
Unlike the other ladies here, I would think that a dude who calls himself Allahpundit should remain anonymous.
For his safety from the Religion of Peace, at first.
But other reasons too.
Anyone else think it’s odd that guys on these–not talking heads and pretty men like Shep or something–always have a hard time, looking oblique, looking down, around, or just flat avoiding it, while babes seem to leap in front of the camera without a hitch?
I’m not complaining. I’m just noticing. It’s like you can’t get male bloggers to do video with bribes, and you can’t get female bloggers to let go of the camera.
Good grief, where do I go to find young attractive republicans like Bethany?
Ok, on to the subject. The lawyer obviously takes issue with the Administration. He takes issue with where “our tax dollars go.” So I am left to wonder if the democrats take over congress and want to throw up all sorts of investigations in to the administration, will he say that TOO is a waste of our tax dollars?
Bethany with her hair down… Gah!.. you ladies are killing me. In a good way.
Hey… Excellent Vent today Bethany. Spot on, as always.
Did anyone notice that Josh Wolf and his “Attorney” both have the same goofy hair cut? Fits right in with their goofy excuses about protecting their video.
I hate to just comment on how hot Bethany is because that’s what everyone is doing, and what they do at RealVerse, but WOW! She’s just unbelievable. I mean, I didn’t think anyone was going to be topping Kiran Chetry or Julie Banderas, but… wow.
As I said before, I don’t know where she was these past almost 5 years that I lived in Nashville…. as if she would have gone out with me simply because I was local.
Anyway, keep up the good work and I like the non-MSM stories. You’ve got another regular realVerse visitor.
I think on the street, we (we conservative guys) are supposed to never notice that women are women. For example, on the street, this conversation is supposed to make sense:
“I’ve been reading Malkin.” Really? I heard she’s one of the most influential women in America. “Malkin is a woman? I did not know that. Good for her! Not that being an influential woman matters of course, but being an influential person. Good for him or her!” Yes. I’ve always wanted to take the time to read his or her blog myself, too.
Being conservative, we have sense, and this seems all wrong. But if we go left, we will be summarily castrated when caught noticing a woman exists, as such. So we go right, where it’s ok to notice. And having learned that a thoughtful, interesting, and beautiful woman who also has sense (and probably won’t castrate us for noticing) is no longer something to take for granted, we seem to feel an immediate impulse to go kill her a meal when we recognize her.
… and finally, when we all feel this at the same time, you get the bulk of this thread :)
Why do I have ‘Girls on Film’ stuck in my head all of the sudden? Anyway, yet another case of a lib twisting the law to make it say what he wants to rather than what it actually does. And what’s with the GWB rant? How did he factor into this? Since when did any lamea$$ who gets in front of a camera get to spew about how much he hates the president? I’m so sick of that. Well, I’m going to make this pledge. Should I ever get a cameo in Girls Gone Wild or on Springer, instead of screaming ‘Spring Break’ or ‘Jerry is the father of my love child.’, I’m going to scream ‘Bill Clinton sucked a$$ when he was president.’ or perhaps ‘I may be wearing my swim trunks on my head, but I still think Joe Wilson is a big fat stinking liar.’
Seriously though, you never saw these type of legal contortions outside of a murder case. I think this is yet another legacy of Bill Clinton. Get on camera, and lie your a$$ off. When confronted, lie some more. Maybe Josh and lawyer should claim he was thrown in jail because the judge thought he had a stupid haircut. Refuse to acknowledge the facts of the case and accuse everyone else of being bigoted, bloated, whatever. Nice vent, Bethany, and Mary Katherine.
Please, no one here has a clue what a repressive government is. Go as people who survived under Franco, Hitler, Mussolini, Videla, Pinochet, Trujillo, Castro, Kim Jong II…the list goes on.
This is the stupidest liberal propaganda thus far, and the dumbest too.
If he’s not protecting a source and the video is clean, then what is the issue?
First off, the issue has no right being in a federal court. It’s a state issue.
Second, the issue is that if the video is clean, why does the court want it? His lawyer made an offer of a private screening of the video so that they could see there was nothing about the burning car on there, but they refused. Why would they refuse? Maybe they’re interested in something other than the burning car, and the burning car was only their (legally questionable) way of making it a federal case, which preempts the shield law. Maybe the government wants to know who was at the rally, even those who were not doing anything illegal.
As for his motivation for refusing… could just be principle. Doesn’t want to give the government an inch, especially when they appear to be misrepresenting their intentions and abusing federal court. Or maybe he’s just disgusted by Alberto Gonzales and wanted to stick it to him.
To: Josh Wolf
Fm: MarcH
Re: Your criminal defense attorney
It’s probably not a good sign when the attorney you’ve hired to represent you as a defendant in a federal criminal case does an “on camera” and shows the world that he doesn’t know that the Federal government’s main investigative agency is named the Federal Bureau of Investigation, not “Federal Bureau of InvestigationS”.
Who is this little dorks parents? Did Cindy Sheehan actually have a child that takes after her and who she just never mentioned? What the h*ll is this kid thinking? If I was that kids dad, I don’t care how old he is, I’d have grabbed that little mohawked shrimp by the scruff and repeatedly whacked him in the back of the head marx brothers style saying “Give them the tape! Give it! Now! You little sh*t!” This is the kind of thing good parenting could have prevented.
People blew up a police cruiser and this little run of the mill, cookie -cutter-post-teen-anarchist has it on tape. Does he really think we’re gonna stand for his little games? Go to San Francisco and meet some of these anarchist types. I’m surprised that little sh*t panhandled enough money on Haight street to afford a video camera in the first place, unless he’s one of those trust fund Anarchists. Anyway, having a lot of time between showers probably allowed him to meet all the wrong people in San Francisco, you know, the ones with all the black clothing and balacavas and expressive political patches sewn over purposefully made holes. Just check the cafefully tossed bead-head haircut. Prison has probably provided him with his first shower in months. I mean, that’s how most anarchists in SF smell. Parents take note; You should NEVER allow your children to move to San Francisco. It corrupts.
So his popularity is growing, and all of his vegan friends get to feel like they are in the fight of their lives. True celebrities now. Get on it kids, starts manufacturing the legend of Josh Wolf while the gettin’s good, you might be on TV someday.
The enthusiasm for Josh Wolf in many a smelly Golden Gate Park campsite is now being eclipsed by the leftified enthusiam of Anarchy’s supposed enemies; the rich and propertied of San Francisco. It makes sense though. Most property owning former hippies in San Francisco eventually became wealthy anti-capitalist capitalists. They are the ones who used to have ideas just as dumb as Josh Wolf’s. Only now they take regular baths, collect rent, and have subscriptions to Utne Reader and Mother Jones. They’ve toned it down now, but still have ridiculous political ideas. They like to prove they still have that ole’ hippy spirit from time to time. The Chronicle really likes them because they buy newspapers with articles about oppressed ‘journalists.’
What can we do? Well, its probably only a matter of time until young, white, and privilidged anarchists start over-romanticising their chosen poverty, and start setting off bombs. These are delusional kids, with a hunger for fame, to be respected by their peers, and to be noticed, and to be a part of something deep and intellectual. These kids needs to be mocked by our society for what they are, and crushed by the police if this is the road they choose. That’s a fitting punishment for pushing irresponsible, selfish, anti-American rhetoric. Sorry kid, it’s time to grow up.
wordwarp, it it was Melissa Theuriau we could only expect to see about 3% of her. She’s French remember! Then again even 3% of Melissa…oOo LaLa!!!

Great Vent Bethany!
Clear content of importance that was well presented – thank you Bethany! (More please ……. With the MSM providing most of the gruel fed to the masses I fell like Oliver Twist ……. )
This topic is important because it deals with how the left is attempting to manipulate news to their advantage. This is not a case of journalism but rather a moonbat trying to gain attention by making those they don’t like into villans.
…between Freedom of Speech/Press and harboring criminals. Turning over the video didn’t or wouldn’t interfere with his freedom of speech.
Let’s say I’m a photojournalist. I’m in a bank and manage to capture an entire bank robbery on tape. Would it be exciting? Yes. Would it net me a sizable paycheck that week? Yes. Could I keep it from the police, claiming it is privileged?
Now suppose I’m not a photojournalist and manage to catch the entire robbery on my videophone. Sure, I could sell it to the press, but could I keep it from law enforcement? It’s mine, after all, isn’t it?
I think it’s moot. Bottom line, I do believe a duly issued warrant could secure the video in either case. Any cash value would still belong to me (or my employer if I filmed the event on company equipment and/or time). I(or my employer) would still have exclusive rights to the content. The police ain’t gonna sell it! As in this case with Mr Wolf, there is no “source” being protected. No one came to him with the video. Mr Wolf is dead meat – er – up to his arse in alligators with nary a choke hold in his bag of tricks.
Blowback

lauraw, from one lady to another, I posted earlier that AP should remain ‘our mystery man’. Just wanted you to know that you have company on this…

Reading some of these messages, it’s easy to see why Muslim men like to keep their women hidden under a sheet. You bunch of animals you.
Oh yea Larry, couldn’t help but notice the hair. Must be all that “free thinking” that liberal minds claim to do.

I was sooo hoping to have a united front on this. :(

I will vote a strong YES to that. I fell in love.
And Bethany, we will “check you out” as you requested above.
What was the topic here?

Obstructing justice – this dude is acting just like Nixon, “no, you can’t have my tapes”…
Note to Michelle, Stay on vacation your children need your love and attention, Bethany can ‘cover’ for you.

After watching that vlog carefully, I agree that wolves should be put in jail.
Or maybe I need to watch it again.
Man, oh, man, who’s the next guest host, Melissa Theuriau?

I hate to just comment on how hot Bethany is because that’s what everyone is doing, and what they do at RealVerse, but WOW! She’s just unbelievable. I mean, I didn’t think anyone was going to be topping Kiran Chetry or Julie Banderas, but… wow.
As I said before, I don’t know where she was these past almost 5 years that I lived in Nashville…. as if she would have gone out with me simply because I was local.
Anyway, keep up the good work and I like the non-MSM stories. You’ve got another regular realVerse visitor.
RightWinged on August 23, 2006 at 5:07 PM
Great Vent Bethany,
Keep up the good work!

I’m thinking this, about this:
No disrespect intended. It was a great Vent.

Nice vent, Bethany, and Mary Katherine.
austinnelly on August 23, 2006 at 5:46 PM
Indeed.
“Real Women” know who the “Real Men” are.
Nothing wrong with being honest about it.
Michelle, Mary K, and Bethany are all very pretty, and also very smart. A killer combination.
All of us Real Men really do appreciate all you Real Women out there.

Repressive government? was that lawyer for real?
Please, no one here has a clue what a repressive government is. Go as people who survived under Franco, Hitler, Mussolini, Videla, Pinochet, Trujillo, Castro, Kim Jong II…the list goes on.
This is the stupidest liberal propaganda thus far, and the dumbest too.
LaVentanita on August 23, 2006 at 6:16 PM

MarcH on August 23, 2006 at 7:29 PM

More Vent Please Bethany!

Or in the inimitable parlance of Wayne Campbell:

Sorry… Couldn’t resist.

There Is A Difference…
