Update: Speaking of psycho killers, former SS goon turned litterateur Gunther Grass gets the full Hitch in Slate today:
“Let those who want to judge, pass judgment,” Grass said last week in a typically sententious utterance. Very well, then, mein lieber Herr. The first judgment is that you kept quiet about your past until you could win the Nobel Prize for literature. The second judgment is that you are not as important to German or to literary history as you think you are. The third judgment is that you will be remembered neither as a war criminal nor as an anti-Nazi hero, but more as a bit of a bloody fool.

Holy crap! That’s terrible. Thank God we live in the new millenium where we have real musicians like Paris Hilton and Justin Timberlake!

It’s all done with peaceful intentions. Perhaps if we offer them a package of incentives, they’ll back off and we can all sing kumbaya.

Ah Hitch! Such vitrol – and at such a worthy target. I bow before the sheer perfection of your screed.

Okay, maybe it’s just me but I miss the 80’s fashions-you know the skin tight cords and the polo shirts & lets not forget the hair.

Maybe it is just you. ;P
Why is everything in italics?

Mein lieber Herr – ein Dummkopf!

I have some nutty relatives in WA who feed raccoons on their porch and take pictures. Sure, they’re cool to watch, with the opposable thumbs and all, but now there’s about 3 generations of the things that come by daily for food. They also have cats…. sounds like a battle is brewing.
And, ok, so maybe Iran is trying to give us a sort of back-hand on Miraj day, you know, attacking the evil Halliburton boat. It’s all starting to come together… ;/

Meanwhile in wacademia, feral moonbats sneak back to Cornell;
Recall, Cornell is the Ivy League academy where Cynthia McKinney is a Rhode professor.
Feedback solicited here.

Allah…that video was to torment us, wasn’t it? I’d call that cruel and unusual punishment. ;O)

Contrary to.. apparently everyone else, I always liked that song. I’ll admit that wasn’t the best version I’ve ever heard.

Me too HDW! The whole ‘77(?) album was fantastic. Byrne was a genius in those days. I most liked the performance where he starts it out solo and the band starts showing up later in the set (and here it is!). He’s one weird dude, but that’s what makes the Talking Heads so cool.

Another Talking Heads fan here!

Kevin, thanks for the link, that’s the version I remember. Love it. One of my roommates my freshman year in college had that whole concert on video.
