Fauxtography: Hezbollah caught red-handed

After the staging and photoshopping, this one’s almost quaint. They found a photo online of the Aussies sinking one of their own ships and passed it off as a photo of the attack last month on an Israeli warship stationed off the coast of Lebanon. Pathetic. Follow the link and examine the photos side by side. They’re identical.
Rusty piles on by pointing out a few other inconsistencies in Hezbollah’s story. I’ll add one myself: if the photo is of an Israeli ship being attacked in 2006, how’d it end up on a webpage about Aussie frigates that was last updated in 2001?
Christ, how I love when it all comes together.

As Dan Rather would say: “Fake but accurate.”

Pretty amusing too that all the weapons from the ship were removed before Hez managed to sink it…
Good trick… you can see the gun ring clearly on the aft end of the ship, from where the turret once was, and wow, no missle rails either for or aft…. don’t see any small boats either…
annnddddd that does NOT look like a missle hit to me… yep, check the origional site… torpedo hit… hmmm… when did Hez get torpedos??? Wow… they are better armed than I thought….
/laughs evily

They did it this way simply to avoid the photoshopping charge. Nothing was altered in the photo. They’re clean. Of course plenty of people will believe it and call the truthtellers liars.

I once commented on HOTAIR that this type of thing didn’t matter because “we” are not the intended audience. However, I have reevaluated my position and changed my mind!
(Hey, to quote Lincoln, “only fools and the dead can’t change their minds” and the last time I looked I was not yet dead.)
Therefore, it is now my opinion that the more fauxtography, or in this case false narrative, which is exposed the more legitimate photography and propaganda broadcast by this vermin as “news” will be questioned on the Arab Street! (Wherever the hell that is!)
Besides, it makes them look ridiculous and no one I can think of is more deserving then these schmucks to be “MADE TO LOOK RIDICULOUS!

Dread Pirate Roberts …
As you wish. As you wish.
However, I must disagree. Hezbollah knows that stuff like this will enter the Arab street mythology as unquestionable truth, and that no amount of proof to the contrary will budge it. We’ve seen that too many times and so have they. Sadly.

Gotta say, this doesn’t upset me nearly as much as Reuters and the NY Times, etc. It’s Hezbollah, did you expect any less? All the other fauxtography and fauxtoshopping were done by “news” companies, and I think that’s the bigger problem, because it makes it difficult to accept anything ever reported by any msm outlet. But Hezbollah is a terror organization, so this shouldn’t be that surprising. Good find anyway, but I just don’t think it rises to the level of everything else…

Don’t forget our MSM press. They want the Hezbo’s to win also.

Did you take a peak at the “source” of this photo (moqavemat.com)? I don’t speak farsy, but I do speak both french and english, and they serve up different content for each. (You can “view” their “site” in both.) You can find this photo there also, but with no story! Lol. Guess they figure that the locals won’t happen upon an Aussie (anglo) defense site. Should you want to read some really rabid and transparently anti israel propaganda, check it out. You’ll not get much more out of it, I’m afraid. At least, I didn’t.

There appears to be a lack of human presence on the deck of the ship, which would be odd for an active vessel.
Bernie Goldberg was on the news a few weeks ago and made a very good point: why is Hezbollah, and other organizations, not held to the same standards as Israel and the west? Hezbollah falsifies a news story and they are not held accountable by the MSM. They fire missiles from among civilian locations, and they are not held accountable by the MSM. Hezbollah fires hundreds and hundreds of missiles at Israeli cities and the MSM says ho-hum. It goes on and on. Meanwhile, Israel has to be pin-point precise in their attacks or else they are ripped up and down for actions.
It would be nice to see the MSM expose more light on the dishonesty of Hezbollah and hold them to the same standard as they expect of Israel and the USA.

You guys really need to read the Koran sometime……
In it, God states that it is perfectly ok for a Muslim to lie to a non-Muslim.
:/
VonHelton on August 22, 2006 at 4:52 PM
VonHelton, the point is they are lying to Islamists via AlJazeera, etc….pure propaganda (and of course the democrats and europeans believe it).

IF I were in a position to do so I would push the idea that the picture was just days old, and since Hezbollah has just claimed responsibility for that blatant act of war it was time for Israel to start moving back into Lebanon. That Israeli propaganda could push those at the web site to admit the entire truth, and thus ruin their credibility IF it is true that the Lebanon government doesn’t want Hezbollah starting anymore trouble.
No crime can be committed without first preparing a good lie, thus making people choke on their lies improves the breed of Man.
