The obligatory Jacqueline Mackie Paisley Passey post

posted at 10:40 am on August 21, 2006 by Allahpundit

Obligatory because Ace mentioned me in the title. And because his post inspired SeeDubya to this exquisite flourish of libertarian-bashing:

I see a cause for these problems—or at least a correlation. She’s not just a libertarian, not that there’s anything wrong with that, but a Libertarian, active in Libertarian Party politics. What’s more, not only is she a free-dope, free-love, militant-atheist, and gay-rights Libertarian activist, she’s also a Randroid—a follower of Ayn Rand and her “objectivist” “Philosophy”. Which is sort of an ugly blending of Nietzsche’s idea of the ubermensch with militant libertarianism—yeah, no, it doesn’t make sense, that’s the point. But certain people, especially sixteen-year-old debate-team savants who need an excuse to feel superior, are drawn to its permissiveness and elitism.

Yeah, I’ve got a feeling SeeDub’s been over to “Hit & Run” once or twice in the past.

Hell of a way to start the week. All right, Randians: it’s conniption time in the comments. Go crazy!

Update: I’ve got to post these even though they are, in fact, quite boring. A three-part podcast interview with the lady herself from last year: part 1, part 2, and part 3.

They saved the best for last: JacqMack on dating doesn’t come until the finale.

Blowback

What’s wrong with being a classic liberal?

JasonG on August 21, 2006 at 10:53 AM

Okay, next time I click the link before asking stupid questions.

I’d still hit it. :D

JasonG on August 21, 2006 at 10:57 AM

Hey, we’re all gonna die tomorrow, so why worry yourselves, infidels?

This isn’t something I do very often, but I’m going to suggest that if there was ever a time to take a piece of Stephen Stills’ advice to heart, this is it.

“If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with.”

That goes double for people with egos outsized only by the distance between their eyebrows and their hairline.

Pablo on August 21, 2006 at 11:10 AM

Okay..I think the term here might be “delusional”. This is a byproduct of all that “self-esteem” garbage aimed at kids for years in school. Inflated egos are always ugly..especially when there is no reason for them to be so inflated. Sad in a way. Amusing in others. Pathetic mostly.

labwrs on August 21, 2006 at 11:33 AM

Poor, poor, delusional Jackie. I figured out why she thinks she’s “it” – she hangs out with the ugly people, and she’s the hottie.

Check out the rest of the photos as well. Rudy-in-drag would be a welcome sight.

Rick on August 21, 2006 at 11:40 AM

So Jackie Butterface has a healthy sense of delusional self-esteem. Big deal.

Pablo – That is not a forehead. . . it’s a sixhead!!

MCPO Airdale on August 21, 2006 at 11:48 AM

From what I’ve read, Rand denounced and hated libertarianism in her lifetime. Yet now that she’s dead, everyone thinks Objectivism and libertarianism are basically the same thing. I’m guessing there’s been some kind of shift in definition within the past forty years.

You know the saddest thing about JacqMack? It worked. She got a boyfriend out of it (tho they have since broken up). That just sucks.

Tanya on August 21, 2006 at 11:50 AM

Did she get the bf via her ad, though? I haven’t actually read through it.

The high-quality alpha womanness of it all stopped me about two paragraphs in.

Allahpundit on August 21, 2006 at 11:51 AM

P.S. Someone actually did a three-part podcast interview with her last year. It’s out there right now.

Do I dare post the link?

Allahpundit on August 21, 2006 at 11:51 AM

Allah, mi ambre’ … you can definitely do better. I mean, hedge your bets on the Ham sam’ich. Do you really want your vacation photos to look like this?

Do ya’?

yo on August 21, 2006 at 11:56 AM

*wince* Do we dare continue to give her the traffic?

Anwyn on August 21, 2006 at 11:57 AM

Do you really want your vacation photos to look like this?

Good lord.

I kind of feel bad for JacqMack, though. She’s taken an unusually vicious beating here. I think a lot of people are projecting.

Allahpundit on August 21, 2006 at 12:00 PM

My understanding is that she got enough responses that she could narrow it down to five. The guy she picked is in the bottom frame, at the link “yo” posted. I think he’s out of her league, personally, but maybe that’s why they broke up.

Tanya on August 21, 2006 at 12:02 PM

I think a lot of people are projecting.

Projecting onto geek girls, at least over at Ace’s. I haven’t seen so much band-geek bashing since … hell, there really wasn’t that much bashing even when I *was* a band geek.

I don’t feel sorry for her one bit. And for me it’s less about that “I’m quality” post and more about “fat single mothers” and “children are parasites” and (paraphrased) no intelligent woman would ever choose to have children.

Anwyn on August 21, 2006 at 12:02 PM

My understanding is that she got enough responses that she could narrow it down to five.

Wow. Is it true, then? Does “confidence” really matter — in women?

JacqMack’s got it in spades.

Allahpundit on August 21, 2006 at 12:08 PM

Well, of course there’s ample projecting .. but, what does one expect when one posts the following advice to those Y chrom-carriers who don’t meet her lofty standards?:

“Lower your standards and stop pursuing women who are out of your league. There are lots of fat single mothers out there who can’t find dates either.”

Blog karma’s a byotch.

yo on August 21, 2006 at 12:10 PM

I think I have to post the podcasts.

I don’t want to build up too much suspense, but in the first she mentions how she got the name “Paisley.” Hint: it’s not a given name.

Allahpundit on August 21, 2006 at 12:10 PM

“Lower your standards and stop pursuing women who are out of your league. There are lots of fat single mothers out there who can’t find dates either.”

That’s partly why I sympathize with her. She’s getting killed for telling the truth.

In general, I mean. Not about her being one of those out-of-your-league women.

Allahpundit on August 21, 2006 at 12:11 PM

I see. “Fat single mothers” have to take what’s left after the men have lowered their standards.

Anwyn on August 21, 2006 at 12:15 PM

The original personal ad wasn’t nearly that abrasive. And she did say flat out that she was looking for a lover to take along on a trip. Sex does apparently sell. Who knew?

Tanya on August 21, 2006 at 12:21 PM

Well I see we have another honor graduate from the Maureen Dowd School of How To Get A Man. Those who know Mo know how that worked out.

Hey Jackie, it’s called humility. Look into it.

I kind of feel bad for JacqMack, though. She’s taken an unusually vicious beating here.

Not me. You don’t step into the ring and start throwing punches (e.g., fat single mothers, lower your standards, etc.) and then expect not to get hit in return. If anything, the “unusually vicious beating” she’s taking might actually beat some humility into her before life kicks her in the ass and she really does end up a lonely old maid, a la Mo Dowd.

Sure she’s telling the truth; but at who’s expense? The expense of the y-chroms trying to pick her up, online? Or the “fat single mothers,” or all of the women in the developing world?

She might have been much better off sticking with the self-improvement bit and leaving it at that.

yo on August 21, 2006 at 12:25 PM

Allah, your taking valuable time away from flirting with MKH to post on this?

Number 2 on August 21, 2006 at 12:27 PM

Allah,

You definitely are spending quite a bit of time on this – is there something you are not telling us??

Rick on August 21, 2006 at 12:49 PM

That’s partly why I sympathize with her. She’s getting killed for telling the truth.

Telling the truth has been getting people killed forever. I think it’s her overstatement of her case that’s costing her points here. If she looked like Bethany or MKH, she probably wouldn’t be taking such a beating. And really, having your husband go gay on you isn’t exactly a selling point for your femininity/mating qualifications. The artificially pretentious name isn’t helping matters either.

But she is digging the traffic! Way to make lemonade, girlfriend!

Pablo on August 21, 2006 at 1:03 PM

NO, she is getting killed because she is cruel
How tough is it to discourage a man who wants a romantic relationship with you? It can be done easily, NICELY and considerately! She is conceited and mean…not truthful.

labwrs on August 21, 2006 at 1:16 PM

Tanya, you shared a good point, that Rand despised the term “libertarian”. To be libertarian means a division between the State and the Individual and, in a free society, that one should be free to be stupid. This is something that Rand would never have allowed.

Ms. Paisley should read a book on narcissism.

1328, that was a great link to the article about Maureen Dowd and her ilk. Thank you.

Allah, your sympathies aside, get onto the “Ham”ster thread. She looks decent and sounds intelligent and we want to know more about her.

Allah, again, for your own sanity, stay single for a life-time, if Ms. Paisley is all there is, her libertarianism and 145 aside.

Prediction: Ms. Paisley, at old age, will be fat, depressed and alone.

On Ayn Rand – she was a ‘moral’ lush and politically, who knows what? Objectivism is hard to figure out. However, as a foreigner, she wrote in English like nightingales sing. I found myself going back 2-3 pages, to reread certain paragraphs. I own every single book ever published by/about her. And she had a never-ending brain. In her 70s she took lessons in physics and she was always a good mathematician. She could also make mincemeet of any Leftie. In spite of some of her strangeness, I adore her. We need one for these times…

Entelechy on August 21, 2006 at 1:16 PM

labwrs, my adorable friend who knows bad French words, and posts great live-feedback on the Cynthia McKinney ‘concession speech’ which seemed to never materialize, here’s a kind tip:

1. when you wish to quote Allah or others, or anything, highlight the content, copy/paste it into the comment field, make sure it’s highlit and then click on the ‘quote’ button, above.

2. then you continue below with your own comments :)

Entelechy on August 21, 2006 at 1:24 PM

Entelechy,
That’s what I get for trying to work and comment. Mondays are not made for multitasking!

labwrs on August 21, 2006 at 7:09 PM

labwrs, I goof them up myself, especially if in a hurry. It’s not that important. Your messages are what counts and they are great :)

Entelechy on August 21, 2006 at 10:10 PM

I’m mostly repulsed by her personality, which is just icky.

That said, I am somewhat concerned that if Xena the warrior princess and Jacqie Mack ever meet there will be a ginormous babaliscious/anti-babaliscious explosion that will end the universe.

John on August 22, 2006 at 4:32 AM

I won’t pick on her, but I will say that a confident woman is comfortable with herself, and doesn’t need to tear down others-(fat single moms/guys who don’t meet her qualifications). Speaking as one who would not meet her qualifications, am I resentful of her and her standards? Not even a little bit. I wish her well. She’s just not that interesting.

Doug on August 22, 2006 at 11:46 AM

OMFG! I can’t believe I missed See Dubya’s Libertarian-bashing! Wheeeee! My new hero!

/no wonder Rand she died alone and bitter
//just like Tacky Jackie will
