HuffPo parody: The NYT through the eyes of right-wingers

“Vows: Jane Fonda, 69, and Ayman al-Zawahiri, 55.” It’s that good.

In fairness, I’m pretty sure SeeDubya really does see the Times this way. Especially the Klimt art review.

Update: “Anthrax-laced falafel nuggets.”

Looks to me like a bit of projection going on. Rightwingers certainly don’t see NASCAR fans as “slack-jawed rubes,” but an awful lot of leftwingers do. As for Kofi being king of the world, I see him as a Pinnochio controlled by puppeteers in Tehran.

At least they got the masthead right.

Yeah, that seemed odd to me too. I think he slipped that in there as a wink to his own side.

The People’s Cube version is funnier.

Number 2 on August 18, 2006 at 5:15 PM

The NASCAR fans reference, and the Salt Lake City one seemed weird to me as well.

It could be projection.

Or it could be saying that we perceive the NYT saying things like that, when in reality it isn’t. Which is saying that we incorrectly perceive the NYT slagging us, when in fact they are just reporting the news fairly and accurately.

I don’t know.

Anyway, it seemed pretty weird to me. Most of it I got right away, but the above mentioned ones seemed kinda odd.

Whatever.

What this page needs is another gratuitous post about Allahpundit’s newest and favest internet sweetheart.

Come on, AP! It’s Friday! You know you wanna. Plus if you work this just right, you might just score a hot date for tonight.

No need to thank me. My work here is done.

(But don’t forget your confidence. Women love a confident man.)

Very very funny! I liked “Yankees win despite having no transsexuals on the team”..as a Braves fan, we know that isnt true!/*haha*
The NASCAR thing is funny but it is definitely a jab..oh well..it was close but not perfect, still it was very clever and amusing all the same!

To whom it may concern:

It looks like a comment I posted before the “test” has gotten caught up in a spam filter. Thanks.

The psychosis deepens. I believe BDS has now killed more people than the dreaded bird flu.

Time to designate a ribbon color so we can raise BDS awareness.

May I suggest yellow?

It’s like they’re inside my head!

see-dubya on August 18, 2006 at 5:39 PM

gotta admit that was indeed very funny

Defector01 on August 18, 2006 at 5:50 PM

A little fair warning about the “dudes” would have been nice, bro. This is, after all, a

family mother****ing blog

Bryan, that was perhaps an unintentional insult to Pinocchio…piece of wood, a worthless one at that, is what Kofi is! From the story of Pinocchio:

Once upon a time, there was … ‘A king!’ my little readers will say right away. No, children, you are wrong. Once upon a time there was a piece of wood….

…only their minds are dead; we’re still supporting and suffering their decaying bodies…which mindlessly get to vote!

I liked the floating ad with Michael Moore the best!

Man, the Huffington Post just keeps getting whackier and whackier. But I think I know why now…

I think they use too much of their own product

Fetalicious!

Tanya on August 18, 2006 at 8:36 PM

Whoa havok! Where’d that come from?

EFG on August 19, 2006 at 12:02 AM

That’s our money they are using!

Umnumzana on August 19, 2006 at 12:05 AM

Alas, havok shall no longer be joining us.

Allahpundit on August 19, 2006 at 1:12 AM

I don’t agree with it, but 5 stars for creativity. Bryan called it correct, they got the masthead right (or would that be left?)

GPE on August 19, 2006 at 10:18 AM

At least they got the masthead right.

Which one? I personally liked the Socialist Worker Daily headline. Fancy Liberal Filth was stoooopid.

And, i agree with you KfB – the guy thing needed a warning. gross.
