The Republican candidate is extraordinarily weak, with some honesty/ gambling issues.

You’d have to have a screw loose to back that guy.

If you’re a Republican in Connecticut, the only reason you have to vote for Lieberman is to crush ultra-lefty nuts and enjoy their wailing and tearing of hair.

Which is plenty enough reason of course.

Sorry, I can’t get off this. Here’s my third #8. Here in Pennsylvania Bush and that “evil genius” Rove screwed the Conservative, Toomey, in favor of Specter, “we need him in there, he’s one of us”. Now we’re getting the same for Mr. 80% ADA rating, Lieberman, “he likes us”. Why not back Hillary in NY, you might as well say we give, we can’t win it anyway so let’s back Hillary. Deep down inside we know she really likes us too. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!

I’m with you guys.. its a tossup between #2 & #8. Anyway, I will be voting for Alan Schlesinger. I hope my fellow CT Republicans do the same regardless of the outcome. Its time to draw the battlelines.

Here’s a second #8 vote from me. Lieberman has an ADA voting record of 80% and an ACU voting record of 8%. So it stands to reason that the Republicans would be enamored of a liberal Democrat with an 80% liberal, ADA voting record. Makes all the sense in the world to me. Yeah that good old Joe is the bee’s knees.

Who cares… let’s sit back and watch a very expensive campaign where the winner is guaranteed to be a Democrat. Every dollar spent by either candidate is a dollar not spent in a race that involves an actual Republican.

Lieberman wins – the Netroots are dead.
Lamont wins – let the purges begin.

#8 The Republicans are stooopid as usual. How many good Conservative candidates have they let dry on the vine under Bush and that “genius” Rove. Lieberman is a lib through and through. Just because he agrees with you on one issue doesn’t make him your savior. BTW, I wasn’t implying that the Republican candidate is a good Conservative just that they’re backing Lieberman instead of the Republican. How about NY, they’ve already conceded that to Hillary, why? Another BTW, these are some of the reasons why I’m registered Independent, I don’t have too much use for Republicans either. Even with a Republican POTUS and congress, we Conservatives or half-Libertarian/Conservative, as I consider myself, couldn’t be any worse off.

2. The White House wants Liebs to win. By refusing to endorse the Republican, Bush gives Connecticut conservatives the green light to cross the aisle and carry Joementum. Call this the “America first” option: we need Democrats who are strong on defense now more than ever. If that means biting the bullet on a race we’re not going to win anyway, so be it.

It would also serve to drive the wedge between the old-school Democrats and the moonbats even deeper. A divided enemy will be that much easier to spank in 08, when it really counts.
