as for the indoctrination, Aunt Bea was correct – our kids have been indoctrinated by our socialist/politically correct/multicultural educational system. While private school is better than public, it’s not THAT much better – we still have to deal with it. i’d homeschool if I wasn’t so scared I’d screw my kids up.

I used to think so. Although it doesn’t happen nearly often enough, there are those for whom a significant emotional event can wake them up out of their liberal stupor.

Maybe it’s just that the significant events haven’t happened close enough to these whack jobs. Well, if they win their fight against the war, maybe the next terrorists’ strike will hit them a little closer to home, geographically or emotionally.

But that is the key…you’ll never win over a dedicated whack job with logic because it wasn’t the logic of their beliefs that brought them to where they are. It was their emotions. The don’t think, they feel. So, until you hit them where they feel they live, you’ll never reach them. Vice versa, if you can drag them back to where they are hit over the head emotionally, there is a chance they can be converted without another 9.11.2001-type event. Maybe. I hope. Without that hope, why bother with all this Vent-ing, anyway?
