Video: Charles Johnson vs. Arianna Huffington

This morning, on Reliable Sources. I made a point of taping it because I figured it might be the last major media appearance for a blogger related to Hezbollywood.

Then this broke. And now I’m not so sure.

In any case, here’s a battle of wits between two bloggers reviled by their political opponents because of the eccentricities of some of their commenters. The difference is, with LGF, the eccentricities don’t make it onto the front page. A point Charles himself noted, as you’ll see, and which Arianna pathetically dodged.

I wish I could show you the part where Kurtz calls her droning about Lamont a “campaign commercial,” but fair use has its limits. Give her credit, though, for admitting at the end that Reutersgate is a lot bigger than Adnan Hajj. The reality-based community won’t like that dose of reality one bit.

Oh she just drones on and on.

And i can’t get the damned “Green Acres” theme out of my head now, either, so thanks a hell of a lot, Allah.

Arianna besmirching the MSM regarding misleading headlines is rich.

Very rich.

I think someone could remake the “Three Faces of Eve” about Ariana starting with her gadfly days in London.
She should have stayed in bed with Al Franken!
Most of the “talking heads” on TV are SO self-important that it is really refreshing to see Charles Johnson coming across as sincere, real and credible.
His point about the Hizbo business cards is damning I think..terrorist PR agency. OH WAIT..that is CNN International isnt it?

Heh, Zsa Zsa Huffington. I wonder if she lives with a pig.

I won’t try to defend Arianna in general but I was pleasantly surprised by how sane and rational she came across in that clip.

Mr Bingley, was it really necessary to mention Green Acres? Now I’ll be hearing that damned song in my head for hours.

You got the wrong Gabor sister. That was Eva. Arianna sounds like Zsa Zsa.

The FUnniest thing I ever saw about Zsa Zsa Gabor was when she appeared on a talk show (maybe Merv Griffin but not sure) where Liberace was a guest. Zsa Zsa kept displaying various glittering diamonds and each time Liberace would outdo her with bigger and more glittering diamonds. And when that happened a mixture of green envy and rage would cross Zsa Zsa’s face. She was genuinely ANGRY about being outmathed by Liberace in the glittering diamond department. Hopefully YouTube will someday have a clip of that incident. It was HILARIOUS!

Give Arianna some credit. On Fox “News Watch” regarding the issue of doctored photos, Jane Hall launched into an attack on the motives of bloggers exposing the frauds (shooting the messanger) instead of condemning the the frauds and Neil Gabler said he couldn’t comment because he didn’t know whether the doctoring of the Beruit photo was an innocent mistake. Of course, he ignored the obviously doctored and mislabeled photo of the Israeli “missiles” by the same “photographer” besides the numerous other doctored photos by others that have come to light. At least Adrianna complimented Charles of LGF on his work and agreed that the problem of photo doctoring is widespread.

Concerning the dolt Jane Hall, who perfectly represents MSM thinking in all respects including its total banality and mediocrity, Jim Pinkerton had the perfect response. He pointed out that motivations of the exposers were totally irrelevant as they established facts and we require accurate facts to make informed decisions. Hence, the exposers were heroic irrespective of their motivations.

Not much of an ad-libber, that Arianna…

Jim Treacher on August 13, 2006 at 6:37 PM

Towards the end there Ariana sounded far less insane than the people on her blog (well aside from Greg that is) would make you think at first glance. But they couldn’t undo the sheer idiocy of her support for two-bit airhead lamont… especially the REASONS she espoused for her support. Gimme a break you’ve got plenty of people who are putting up logical reasons why Bush isn’t so hot on the right and the true center (instead of the pretend-center-left idiots who are really far left whackos in disguise). You can disagree with Bush all you want, just please give us a sane reason with some facts and some semblance to reality to back it up with.

Hmmmmm….. When did Arianna get the facelift and collagen injections?

Sorry, but …

I can’t get past the Zsa Zsa bit. Are you brothers aware that there are people on the political left who take this gold-digging bimbo seriously on matters of public policy?

“I swallowed my way into a brief marriage with a billionaire, and now I criticize the President of the United States on foreign policy. WTF?!
