Since Vietnam, we’ve watched our own media devolve from the old standard of Ernie Pyle’s unashamed support of our side to “neutralism,” and now increasingly they’re just flat-out on the other side. Journalistic standards now seem to be variations of “Fake, but acccurate,” “It might be true,” and now they’re just staging it and faking it to demoralize us and energize our enemies.

It’s like what Ripley said to Burke in the movie, “Aliens:”

“I don’t know which is worse; you don’t see them f***ing each other over for a percentage.”

It’s hard enough to win this fight when only the Republicans seem to want to stop the terrorists while the donkey party is content to focus on stopping the Republicans … so when our own media starts cheerleading for the enemy, I have to wonder whether we’re going to end up with a collective failure of nerve at some point.
