Allah’s old site was much like that. It got to be overwhelming at times. I could easily spend an hour every day, following the links, trying to keep up with him. It got to be insane for a while. And hugely depressing, which is why, I’m guessing, Allah gave up on it. Staring into the abyss for so long got to be too much, I suspect.

And yes, Allah had (has still, ‘though you don’t exercise your poetic side quite so much) quite a way with words. It would be nice if you (switching to first-person here) could slip into that persona every-once-in-a-while, just to give us a taste of the old times.

Allah, if you’re ever down in the Baltimore area, drop me a line. I’ll treat you to as many Guinnesses as you can handle.

Ace begged us to vote him the number one Conservative Blog.

Allah earned his place. His site, dare I say, was more powerful than a pile of green footballs. (Charles, your site is terrific, no harm intended) I’ll even say that it was more important to the investigative power of the internet than the Blog fathers.

Even the Bosses site runs a close second to the old Allah pundit. (Not counting the addition of Hot Air)

(And Ace your site is entertaining and informative. It just isn’t Allah Pundit enlightening. Plus got to give you credit for hoist the black flag)

I’m disappointed at Ace. He’s not disfigured, he wasn’t wearing a bandana (I was thinking something black) and he didn’t swear. Not once. I don’t know where to have him. He reminded me of … a director I’m afraid to mention :)

I only read Allah for the articles.

This will border on sappy, but I need to say it once, and then deny it forever: I love good writing, anything; speeches, books, graffiti; Allah is one of the best writers I’ve ever read. I don’t know jack about the person, but the ability to write the way Allah does is a gift. I think I get why Malkin went through the trouble of digging Allah out of Rehab and hosing ‘em off.

Rightwingsparkle … hahahaa. But look at the attention it’s getting him … poor Bryan, verifiably cute, talented blogger, extra cool points with me because of the Air Force thing … and a bunch of us all over Allah to out himself. It’s an unfair world. :)

Well anyway, it’s brains, personality, looks, sense of humor. Not necessarily in that order.

Most importantly, it has nothing to do with money.

They like who they think Allah is.

Cynical and depressive notwithstanding, as one of “they” mentioned, I think a better way to put it is that a bunch of us like the *aspect* of Allah that is showed in this blog, admittedly a fairly narrow focus, and that based on that a bunch of us are *curious* as to the rest of Allah. And also a few really insulted brunettes. Unless you’re Karol and got to be the hetero-insurance at a Brokeback showing.

For the record, I’m really hot.

No modest denials here. I was blessed. Is that a bad thing?
