Video: Lieutenant Colonel Randolph White addresses the troops

Good stuff. Blackfive has the whole video but I had to pinch this bit to whet your appetites.

We should interview this guy for Vent and ask him what he thinks about leftist “support” for the troops.

Wow! Talk about a straight shooter! I love hearing candor like that! Allah, I agree; interview the man for Vent!

I bet that this guy is an absolute great commander; the type that takes care of his troops above all else. Hopefully he has a long and rewarding future in the Army.

Men like these enable us to sleep at night, and to make fools of ourselves, and the ingrates don’t even internalize that…

My favorite part:

DON’T LET THE PESSIMISTIC TELEVISION TALKING HEADS, HIGH BROWED NEWSPAPER WRITERS, HOLLYWOOD IDIOTS, OR ANY OTHER FACTION OF THE “BLAME AMERICA FIRST” CROWD GET YOU DOWN! …. I’M SPEAKING OF THE “LATTE BISCOTTI CROWD”. THEY ARE SIMPLE BACKGROUND CHATTER MEN….AND WILL ALWAYS EXISTS ON THE PERIPHERY OF ANY ENDEAVOR THAT REQUIRES SELFLESS SERVICE OR LOYALTY. THEY ARE NOT WORTHY OF YOUR CONCERN AND TRUTH BE TOLD – IN THE PIT OF THEIR COWARDLY HEARTS – THEY WISH THEY COULD BE LIKE YOU.

Awesome! Well worth watching the whole thing.

Real Men are entrancing.

“They wish they could be like you”…such a true statement.
I am so glad i volunteered for the draft in ’69. I can always say i “served”. I can even have one of those little flags placed alongside my obituary..lol.
Thank God for America.

THEY ARE NOT WORTHY OF YOUR CONCERN

That may be true, however, they can – as seen in Vietnam – destroy our will to fight and cause defeat where victory should be assured. That’s why they’re the Enemy Press.

All this Marine dad can say is “OORAH!”

What an inspiring speech!

georgej on August 6, 2006 at 7:11 AM

While 8 of our Marines are languishing in Pendelton because of our stupid unfaithful leadership……all we get is ‘oorah’ blather. Our good men are serving an empty suit president and a Mcnamara type defense sec..Rumsfeld. And for what….to turn on the lights in Iraq and make sure their little brats have a scchool to attend. While the wonderful Iraqi’s march by the thousands this weekend chanting our deaths. Bush is like the punk in high school who starts a fight and can’t finish it.
I heard this ‘oorah’ blather once…….we learned to ignore it and even laugh at the ‘office’ bs… But that was at KheSanh, LZ Vandigrift

LZVandy on August 6, 2006 at 7:32 AM

The entire speech is a little over 12 minutes long and Blackfive has the link. Notice that LTC White also mentions that he is headed over to Iraq upon completion of his tour there at Ft Benning.
For LZVandy I wonder how different your attitude would be today if the press and liberal politicians hadn’t done such a hatchet job on your generation. Remember we never lost a battle on the ground in Nam only in the realm of public opinion. Just to reinforce a phrase used often “Never Again”

LakeRuins on August 6, 2006 at 9:43 AM

Well Lake…’it is again’…Bush is the one not supporting his troops because he is afraid(cowardly) of the liberal press.
So he fights another political war. He locks up Marines who kill the enemy based on the enemies word. In Nam they wanted the troops to be courageous and demanded it….yet they did not have the courage to fight the liberals at home….just like now……….I actually watched Bush tremble in front of Tim Russert…….He could end this war right now, but he is afraid of the liberal press…So he sends out the officers with nothing but ‘oorah blather’. While courageous grunts go with their bodies where bombs should go first. Beautiful words are not enough!!

LZVandy on August 6, 2006 at 10:20 AM

Awesome, truely awesome!

Wow indeed. Inspirational, uplifting and restorative. No wonder we are winning..and we ARE. Although it looks dark out there, we are winning and because of men like this we will KEEP winning. God Bless the USA and all our men and women in the armed services!

Once his military career is over, I see presidential timbre there…

Of course, the gutless cowards that he speaks of here would try to tear him down, but it certainly sounds like he’s got the fight.

I think these attributes (Burkenstocks, Biscottis, Lattes, Hemp, etc…) are common to the anti-law and pacifist ilk.

Remember this quote:

“The pacifist is as surely a traitor to his country and to humanity as is the most brutal wrongdoer.”

Theodore Roosevelt
