Mel Gibson linked to insane Jew-hating political party

Him and his pops, actually. They were never members, stresses a former regional director of the organization.

They were just “interested in some of our ideas.”

Ideas like these:

The League strongly denies that a Holocaust occurred during World War II in which millions of people, particularly European Jews were killed, and is strongly supportive of the polemicist David Irving. They believe that the world is run by a secret society of Jews. The League is distinctive for asserting that The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is a genuine Jewish document (the Encyclopædia Britannica for example describes the Protocols as a “fraudulent document that served as a pretext and rationale for anti-Semitism in the early 20th century”).

Here’s the group’s website. I didn’t tarry, but I bet you’ll find some pretty interesting theories in the “Race, Culture and Nation” section. And very possibly under “BankWatch,” too.

In Mel’s defense, maybe he was drunk at the time. Who among us hasn’t flirted with the supremacist organizations after a late night out at the pub?

And by “flirting with supremacist organizations” I of course mean volunteering for Ned Lamont.

Just for kicks, I checked out David Duke’s site to see if he’d had anything to say about Melgate. And sure enough, he had. Or a friend of his had. They have their own problems with him, I guess. Cute headline, too. If you’re going to a bottom-feeding Nazi degenerate, it helps to have a sense of humor.

Ever wonder what Mel and Danny Glover used to talk about on the set?

Update: Debbie Schlussel wonders whether a Leni Riefenstahl fan is really the best person to absolve Gibson of anti-semitism.

I don’t think the article shows that Mel Gibson is linked to that political party. Apparently his father was.

Here is an interesting article related to Gibson’s campaigning for the candidate in Queensland.

Harping on this divides two natural allies and benefits only the ayrabs. I say, Jews, non Jews, all patriots and friends of the West, DROP it. Now.

Dhimwit, agreed.

Mel is not the enemy. Nasrallah is.

This is a really weak attack. Surely you don’t hold a person responsible for the views of everyone with whom he/she is associated. Michelle has been wrongly painted with the same sort of brush w/r/t Steve Sailer, VDARE, Peter Brimelow et al.

Well this certainly puts the notion that “The Passion” was awash in anti-semitism into a new context. (Annie C was doing the apologia for this: “Oh tish tosh, people say crazy things when they’re drunk”; actually, people let down their guard and say things they normally wouldn’t articulate when they’re under the influence.) I find Mel’s adventure in church building interesting: he is building his own “Catholic” church that is a throw back to pre Vatican II days–you know, the good old days of Latin masses, anti-Semitism….yikes.

No?

The guy linked to Australia’s version of the Nazi party doesn’t have “issues”?

Ohhhh. It’s me who has the issues. I get it.
