As much as I’d miss the comic relief of Cynthia’s sock monkey grin as she muggs for every camera, it would be nice for the people of Fulton county to actually have a representative in the House. On the other hand, they keep electing and re-electing CynMcK … maybe they neither want nor deserve any representation.

Shades of Adam Clayton Powell. McKinney cannot lose with her base on this.

I like the first comment about digging a hole. I think she dug down and found her base.

So, if the suit goes forward, can the attorney for Tucker request for the closed files of the Capitol cameras that filmed, supposedly so, the whole incident be made available?

Anyone? I can’t remember if there were discussions whether the whole incident was filmed by security camera(s).

The naive constituents of the 4th district in Georgia kept this ‘circus act’ in Congress for 12 years – they will make good in the runoff of Aug. 8 and send her packing.

From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, on last night’s debate with Hank Johnson:

Given McKinney’s past history, accusing her opponent of lacking “sound judgment” is laughable. That point was driven home later on in the debate when McKinney dodged the issue of her own judgment in smacking a Capitol Hill police officer by saying, “I wasn’t charged with anything.”

All this because the capitol police didn’t charge her…for what reasons?

The runoff is August 8th? Is that right? These same statements have been printed how many times in how many media outlets and NOW she does this??? Sympathy is what she’s hoping for..
The monologue-ists do have their timing down, if nothing else.

A highly public figure suing a newspaper for libel? What a joke!!! Any reasonable judge will throw out the case before it comes to trial. Actually, I’d like to see this come to trial because all the loopiness of Cynthia would be exposed.

She cannot win a libel suit. See: NY Times v. Sullivan. 1964.

The motive for filing the suit is to engender sympathy for her for the run-off election. She is desperate.

Her attorney ought to be sanctioned for filing a frivolous law suit.

And she deserves to be kicked out of Congress for her behavior as a member.

However based on dear Cynthia’s level of intelligence, digging holes for a living might just be her real calling… or next job after November!
