Their is some good news in all this.

The MSM finaly has real compitition. In the old days their only compition was some poor schmuck working in his basement after working a 12 hour shift on his private press cranking out pamphlets. The MSM could make him out to be a crank, or could buy him out (if he got popular). They could shut him down, use lawyers and libel suits etc. All with the singular goal of controling the flow of information and keeping them in power. Now we have the internet. Now we have Blogs. We have incredibly brave individuals in some of the worst countries in the world who risk death (not just for them, but also for their family) to spread the words of freedom and to alert the world of the oppressive nature of their society. The MSM is fighting back, but they can not compete with truth.

the MSM hates America, and thus hates Israel by proxi. If the polling data hadn’t warned the liberal politicians they too would be offering up hate speech against Jews right now.

What is so befuddling is the fact that so many big names in the MSM are Jewish – i.e. Wolf Blitzer. The MSM, the international media and the Left can’t make up their minds if they are for or against Israel. One can’t be both!

Wyrd, I like your assessment about the so-called MSM. In other words, they are parasites and some day will regret losing their freest and richest host. Then it will be too late and good luck to them with China, Iran, Russia. I’d like to complement your assessment with these haughty notions they have of themselves:

- their idealism regarding human rights, while they do little to risk/sacrifice or work hard for real rights
- progressive taxing and redistribution of work/wealth, while their jobs are easy and not very monetarily rewarding; it’s easy to redistribute others’ money/wealth
- cosmopolitan elitism – just because it’s cool and differentiates them from ‘us’, the uneducated, unwashed, coloquial, those of us who actually are foolish enough to believe in: patriotism, freedom, individualism, hard work, religion, a clean life, etc.

As I always say “progressive they are not” – idealistic and elitist they are for sure. Then they wonder why we don’t love them and vote against them every time…

The MSM feels important when it takes on huge all powerfull juggernauts. Each and every reporter feels like Redford taking down Nixon in “All the presidents men” whenever they can slam, slur, misrepresent etc America. They are like mosquitos. They buzz and whine and annoy. But they feel that they are doing good work. Besides, nothing is going to break America. She is too big, too strong. They can live off of her forever, happily printing libel after libel secure in the knowledge that they are safe. That the laws and institutions of this country protect them. Most of these “reporters” do not have the balls to go into the danger zone. And if they do, they wrap themselves up in the power that is America, and enjoy all the protection that she can give them, while they piss on the flag and call her a slut. They feel brave and powerfull. But if they were brave, or powerfull, they would write about the true horrors that go on in CHina, Cuba, the Middle East, Darfur, Sommalia, Ethiopia, Sudan. But they don’t. They touch upon these subjects but that is all. They will not write the scathing articles about those governments. Their papers would be tossed out of the country. They might be targeted for assasination. They may actually have to stand up to a totalatarian government and pay a price for the words the speak and write. No, that the MSM will not do. They will stay here in safety. They will attack our people, our officials, and our way of life with impunity, knowing that they are safe from harm but reveling in the illusion that they are bold and take chances.
These mosquitos will continue to Buzz America, content in their safety. Until the moment they spread mallaria and America dies. Then they will be hard pressed to find another host who was so charitable.

Right you are, Professor. Unfortuanately, my parents didn’t give me a cool name like Wolf Blitzer, and instead found it amusing to put the name “Turd Ferguson” on my birth-certificate.

This caused so much self loathing that I couldn’t even stand to use TF as my handle, and instead went with EFG, for Elmer Fudd Gantry. Which is a pretty cool name, comparatively speaking.

I doubt Blitzer agrees with the good Minister on such outrageous claims. And until now I’ve been content – like Wolf – to let such statments fall flat. But maybe I’ve been naive… perhaps it’s past time time to assume the good judgment of CNN’s worldwide viewing audience…
