Give murder a chance

Nobel Peace Prize laureate: Terrorist Yasser Arafat, inventor of the airplane hijacking, destroyer of the Israeli offer in 2000 to give him 95% of what he wanted, thief who stole billions in aid while sending the sons and daughters of his subjects to blow themselves up killing Israelis.

Nobel Peace Prize laureate: Jimmy Carter, whose Middle East policies helped speed the rise of the mullahcracy in Iran, one of the most violent regimes on earth. Whose stellar diplomacy in North Korea, circa 1994, gave Kim a little breathing space to keep developing nukes. Whose divisive rhetoric encourages terrorists everywhere.

Nobel Peace Prize laureate: Betty Williams, who advocates assassinating the President of the United States.

NOBEL peace laureate Betty Williams displayed a flash of her feisty Irish spirit yesterday, lashing out at US President George W.Bush during a speech to hundreds of schoolchildren.

Campaigning on the rights of young people at the Earth Dialogues forum, being held in Brisbane, Ms Williams spoke passionately about the deaths of innocent children during wartime, particularly in the Middle East, and lambasted Mr Bush.

“I have a very hard time with this word ‘non-violence’, because I don’t believe that I am non-violent,” said Ms Williams, 64.

“Right now, I would love to kill George Bush.” Her young audience at the Brisbane City Hall clapped and cheered.

“I don’t know how I ever got a Nobel Peace Prize, because when I see children die the anger in me is just beyond belief. It’s our duty as human beings, whatever age we are, to become the protectors of human life.”

Michelle, ready to write Unhinged 2: Moonbats International?

As for the Nobel Peace Prize, I keep wondering when Robert Mugabe, Kim Jong-Il, Osama bin Laden and Che Guevara get theirs (the latter posthumously, of course). If Yasser Arafat deserved one, Mugabe et al are no less deserving.

Isn’t it like required now that you call for the murder of Americans to be even nominated for a NPP?

Defector01 on July 25, 2006 at 11:49 AM

Well, Alfred Nobel did invent Dynamite and Ballistite. How appropriate that those awarded peace prizes have help to arm the world worst.

dallas94 on July 25, 2006 at 11:52 AM

What made this worse was that she was talking to schoolchildren. Kids are impressionable, and an adult speaking favorably of murdering someone should be considered child abuse.

Doug on July 25, 2006 at 12:01 PM

If I use her logic, then young Islamic’s wearing bomb belts is just a fashion statement.

moonsbreath on July 25, 2006 at 12:07 PM

Why the outrage? The right-wing blogosphere has been advocating the assassination/execution/imprisonment/stalking of political enemies for the last 3 months.

I’d think you folks would be happy about this. It opens the door for NPP for Ann Coulter.

Name some names, BoB. Who have we advocated assasination for? Can’t seem to recall any off the top of my head. But doesn’t it sicken you that this woman said this in front of impressionable young children? Politics aside, just that alone should anger you. obviously it does not, which says SOOO much about your character.

Michelle, ready to write Unhinged 2: Moonbats International?

Please, Michelle, solicit ideas from this board, when you are ready. You’ll have 20 good chapters (to choose from a myriad of ideas) in no time.

BoB, when Mr. Clinton was President, I felt the need to wear a chastity belt but I never wished that he be killed. He was my President.

Bob, again, the conservatives have no illusions of ever receiving anything from the Nobel committee. We are realists, not dreamers. It should, therefore also tell you how much such a price is worth – not much.

It’s like the moonbat from Lebanon on Fox last night, declairing that “Israel has taken upon itself” a job that is the business of “Lebanon and the UN” and is destroying this Country in the process.

Excuse me, but the UN said long ago that Lebanon had to disarm the terrorists, and Lebanon has had years to accomplish it. They have done, nothing. BIG surprise!

Guess what, Israel doesn’t have to sit back and have Islamic terrorists camped out on its borders trying to kill its peoples. And yes, it’s a shame that parts of Lebanon are being destroyed, but guess what else, IT’S LEBANON’S OWN FAULT. Maybe they COULDN’T disarm them? Then they have had YEARS to ASK the world to HELP THEM disarm the Islamic terrorists, but they didn’t. So, they are paying the piper, and free thinking, open minded, brain falling out, liberals fools are OUTRAGED. That’s a shame.

Looks like BoB has been sniffing “relativism glue” again.

GT on July 25, 2006 at 12:34 PM

Betty isn’t wistfully wishing for an abstract thing. She wants the President dead and she’d like to kill him herself, according to what she told an audience of schoolchildren.

I’m not outraged, blue. I do find it pathetic and sad. I stopped being amazed or outraged at stuff like this along time ago.

Pablo on July 25, 2006 at 12:40 PM

So the appropriate “Peace Laureate” response to seeing children die is to brag about your murderous rage to schoolchildren?

At least she acknowleges that being protectors of life might require killing. Now if she could just think about killing those who celebrate when children die, instead of those who pray that they won’t.

NellE on July 25, 2006 at 12:44 PM

People, just ignore BoB. He starts every post with “why the outrage” and usually their has been no “outrage” posted yet!
If the poster child for retroactive abortion were capable of thought he would wait until their were 20-30 messsages before spewing his idiocy.

About the MB…
Well, It is nice to see her wanting Bush dead, yet not caring about the Middle eastern people who have been sending their children out to die for the past 20 years. I can really appreciate her compassion for all the children murdered in the Sudan and Somelia by the warlords, or the young girls forced to prostitue themselves for food to the UN peace keepers. Her outrage on these topics and the hundreds like them speak volumes about her character and ability to come to compassionite and logical conclusions.

Cowards like her make me sick. They speak out agaisnt those that won’t do anything to them. Insulting Bush on national TV is not “speaking truth to power”. Attacking RUmsfield and holding anti american rallies are not “shows of bravery”. Why? because Nothing will happen. nothing at all. You risk Nothing by insulting the US, or its political officers. Their are not black ops teams scouring the streets to arrest you and your family. Their are no prisons in America where americans are languishing for speaking their mind.
If these people want to make a statement let her go to Iran and talk against the murderrs their. or N. Korea, or Syria, Lebanon, Somelia etc.
They are chihauhas. They are barking and snarling at the US, because they know that the US will not do anything. But they are afraid to put a toe in the pirana filled waters of the Middle east, Africa, N Korea, China or anywhere else where they are not safe.

BoB is outraged, along with her BDS-afflicted Moonbats-domestic and -international.

Here is the reminder why – it was the day we gave the world the biggest finger, proudly, all 62,040,610 of us, not 59,054,087, as they’d originally thought:

http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/images/blbushdumbpeople.htm

The day of the election I received calls from Europe “have you voted yet?”. I made one prediction, that Mr. Daschle would loose, and one statement, that “the world would be in shock the next morning”. It sure was!

This was a terminal blow to the reasoning capacities of Betty Williams, BoB, and their ilk. They haven’t recovered yet and never will. I pitty them for whom they will be deranged over, after Mr. Bush is no longer in office.

And jsut for good measure, to cheer up BoB, here is another reminder:

Is it in the contract of accepting a NPP that you have to stick your foot in your mouth? Carter, Arafat, that woman who claimed AIDS was a conspiracy of the whiteman. WTF?!
Btw BOB, I was a democrat during the Clinton years and I KNOW FOR A FACT no Republicans called for the murder of Clinton. I do know that as a democrat I did see my friends and called on a few ocassions for the murder of Gingrich, Dole and a few others. Don’t play this bS on me, I’ve got a PhD in Liberal BS

Defector01 on July 25, 2006 at 1:11 PM

BoB is typical of most leftists commentors leaving a cowardly unsupported slur and than leaving for unknown places, probably the troll hole they came from.

docdave on July 25, 2006 at 1:16 PM

Big Surprise – leftist calls for the murder of anyone who does not think, act, and believe as they do! Respect for everyone, except those who do not share their beliefs, they will fit right in with the Islamofacist.

omegaram on July 25, 2006 at 1:18 PM

“Right now, I would love to kill George Bush.” Her young audience at the Brisbane City Hall clapped and cheered.

Bad enough the Muslims teach their children this kinda crap, now to listen to a Nobel Peace Prize laureate preach this to children in the west. And cheering no less.

DISGUSTING

Kini on July 25, 2006 at 1:31 PM

It does appear as if the leftist dogma is as follow:
1) Each person has freedom of speach. As long as you speak against conservatives and speak as I do. Those not partaking of the liberal beliefe are to be shouted down at every chance.

2) Each person has a freedom or religeon, as long as they only practice it in the privacy of their homes and completely ignore its tenants and morality when in public. When in Public the only proper religeon is unswerving loyalty in the infallibility of the leaders of the left.

3) All men (and women) are created equal. Unless you are a minority, then you are not capable of “making it” without the help of the liberal. If you are not a minority then you are the cause of all that is wrong in the world, past present and future, and shall be forced to pay in reparations for the rest of your life.

4) Thou shalt not kill. Unless we are talking about an unborn child, or a conservative. A republican president is also exempt from this rule

Just a few that popped into my mind.

Wyrd on July 25, 2006 at 2:49 PM

Is somebody over at Hot Air yanking our chain under the BoB name? BoB appears to be the prototypical “unhinged” liberal.

What really gets me about this whole Betty Williams thing is that the audience (schoolchildren) cheered and applauded her remarks. This liberalism virus just keeps spreading.

Also, what the hell is the “Earth Dialogues forum” anyway?? That just sounds like a great big Moonbat convention.

Rick on July 25, 2006 at 3:14 PM

Wyrd, great list of dual standards. Here’s another example:

Then again, I added, Democrats have their own maverick — Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman. Unlike Dems who ran from their support of the Iraq resolution, Lieberman has remained stalwart. He has forged relations with the Bush White House and joined McCain and Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., in fighting pork-barrel spending.

That’s when the table got quiet. It is one thing for Democrats to feel superior to rube Republicans who don’t like McCain because he is not sufficiently doctrinaire. When, however, a Democrat gets along with Republicans and espouses moderate positions, well then, he is a turncoat, plain and simple. The episode demonstrated how voters value bipartisanship — from the other side, only.

I think we give the Nobel Peace Prize to your entire list, Bryan. All of them, by next year, should receive the Nobel, posthumously. As long as they’re all dead, including Betty, we’ll give her two. Three thousand years of war in the region and she wants to kill our President, and then she TELLS THIS TO KIDS??? Disgraceful pond scum Betty Williams.

There just isnt the same honor in the Nobel any more.

shooter on July 25, 2006 at 4:21 PM

The Nobel peace prize(NPP) has always been a joke. To get it you need to have written a book… and to be nominated by a professor…

Well damn, Thats all that poor misunderstood Tookie did, he got a prize (also got an injection, but I digress).
Lets see, Hittler got one, he also got a bad case of cerebral lead poisoning. I think Mussilini got one. Carter got one, and he promptly strangled his last two brain cells with the steely grip of the insane.
The NPP is pretty worthless. It ranks up their with the Oscers and the pulitzers. A clique of people gravitating in their self important circles and congratulating each other on how smart they are.
Actions and deeds speak louder then self important mastubatory awards. Look at the soldiers in harms way today. Any one of them is better then any 100 “prize” winners.

Wyrd on July 25, 2006 at 5:38 PM

Nominations to the NPP can be made by professors or by your own congressperson (they can even name you anonymously – that is they remain unknown and you don’t) – the nomination process and the prize is a joke any more. Not what Alfred Nobel had in mind.

Here’s the full list of winners in alpha order:
http://almaz.com/nobel/peace/alpha.html

And who’d wish to be in this company?

- Amnesty Int’l
- Kofi Annan
- Jimmy Carter Jr.
- Sir Austen Chamberlain
- Mohamed ElBaradei
- the IAEA
- the United Nations
- the U.N. Peace-keeping Forces
- Betty Williams

Entelechy on July 25, 2006 at 6:11 PM

So sorry, I forgot the ‘biggest prize’ of them all…

- Yasser Arafat

Entelechy on July 25, 2006 at 6:23 PM

Arafat makes sense. The liberals and Islamafascist beleive that all would be right in this world if only isreal were to cease to exist, and America were to roll over and either be destroyed or just turn into a sorrier, more pitifull version of France. Arafat fought to mak that happen. Ergo, he fought for peace.
