Give murder a chance

Nobel Peace Prize laureate: Terrorist Yasser Arafat, inventor of the airplane hijacking, destroyer of the Israeli offer in 2000 to give him 95% of what he wanted, thief who stole billions in aid while sending the sons and daughters of his subjects to blow themselves up killing Israelis.
Nobel Peace Prize laureate: Jimmy Carter, whose Middle East policies helped speed the rise of the mullahcracy in Iran, one of the most violent regimes on earth. Whose stellar diplomacy in North Korea, circa 1994, gave Kim a little breathing space to keep developing nukes. Whose divisive rhetoric encourages terrorists everywhere.
Nobel Peace Prize laureate: Betty Williams, who advocates assassinating the President of the United States.
NOBEL peace laureate Betty Williams displayed a flash of her feisty Irish spirit yesterday, lashing out at US President George W.Bush during a speech to hundreds of schoolchildren.
Campaigning on the rights of young people at the Earth Dialogues forum, being held in Brisbane, Ms Williams spoke passionately about the deaths of innocent children during wartime, particularly in the Middle East, and lambasted Mr Bush.
“I have a very hard time with this word ‘non-violence’, because I don’t believe that I am non-violent,” said Ms Williams, 64.
“Right now, I would love to kill George Bush.” Her young audience at the Brisbane City Hall clapped and cheered.
“I don’t know how I ever got a Nobel Peace Prize, because when I see children die the anger in me is just beyond belief. It’s our duty as human beings, whatever age we are, to become the protectors of human life.”

As for the Nobel Peace Prize, I keep wondering when Robert Mugabe, Kim Jong-Il, Osama bin Laden and Che Guevara get theirs (the latter posthumously, of course). If Yasser Arafat deserved one, Mugabe et al are no less deserving.
