Video: The non-neutral press goes into Beirut

Alongside Hezbollah terrorists, no less. It’s the BBC, doing what the Beeb does best.
Notes: at about 43 sec in, the reporters mentions Israel warning civilians to flee. Did Hezbollah warn Israelis to flee before raining rockets down on Haifa? Do Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda warn civilians to flee an impending attack? Killing civilians is the entire point of their attacks, so, as they say on the left, sadly, no!
Also, the reporter clearly blames Israel for destroying part of Beirut, then notes Israel’s assertion that Hezbollah centered its military planning in these civilian areas and thus had to be struck to take out legitimate military targets. The Beeb’s man fails to note how typical that is of terrorist groups–they attack civilians and then hide among them. By hiding among Lebanese civilians while attack Israeli civilians, isn’t responsibility for Beirut’s destruction on Hezbollah? Not according to the Beeb’s man in Beirut, who insists that Israel has to prove its actions were proportional to the threat.
Somewhere out there, Eason Jordan understands this report all too well.
And…the report fails to mention Syria and Iran at all, when they’re directing Hezbollah’s terrorism. Or Hezbollah’s goal–destroying Israel–versus Israel’s goal of removing an existential threat.
In other words, it’s a typical day at the Beeb.
Update: FNC’s Jennifer Griffin gets the story right.

Another Ho Hum day with the Enemy Press….

One could say that Hezbollah is projecting; thant is, they assume the IFD is hiding among the civilians also, so they do it too. However, we know that is not the case. Terrorists don’t think the same way sane humans think, but they are not stupid. They know full well that this tactic works for them no matter what the outcome. If they don;t get attacked, they survive to fight another day and brand us as weak. If we do attach them and have collateral damage, then thy can count on the NYT/BBC/Al-Jazeera to be their willing accomplices in the propaganda war. Since terrorists reproduce like rats, then thay have an endless supply of new terrorists.

If this is the “press” that Jefferson wanted over a government, then Jefferson was certifiably insane.
Of course, anybody with a brain realizes that this was NOT the type of press Jefferson was talking about. Which is why only the libtards are stupid enough to use that in their pathetically idiotic attempts to defend the treason times.

geekrunner, you left out CNN (especially CNN International).
Remember all “we are not impartial in this war” – Keller of the NYT.
The BBC has now gone international too and promises to be the same force as CNN. More to battle. Unfortunately most all Europeans cherish it and hang on every word they broadcast.

Do these people realize that they are the ones that give the terrorists the will and desire to continue? It’s not the U.S., Israel, and their allies. It’s the fact that they go out and report their biased stories intent on destroying the will of the U.S. and its allies. They either paint us as the bad guy bully, or they seek to focus on stories that highlight our failures. They are playing right into the islmo-nazis hands!!

It’s amazing how much of the British press has become the spokesman for Islamic terror. Usually, one only expects the press to be biased in totalitarian societies; like Das Reich was in Nazi Germany and Pravda was in the USSR.

Remember the BBC is not permitted to offend Murders (Muslims)- they can offend Jews, Christians, Hindu, Buddists, but never offend the Muslims.

We need to methodically start rounding up the leakers and the reporters w/ obvious bias and hold them in Gitmo. GWB and congress declared war on Terror, Isreal declared war on Hizbollah who is hiding in lebanon. Lebanon is choosing which side it is on under the pressure from Isreal and showing thier true colors.
Enough of these political wars. The terrorists attacked us and isreal in thier homeland. Isreal withdrew to try GWB’s roadmap. Hizbolla responded by kidnapping israeli soldiers and lobbing missiles into isreal indescriminantly. Lebanon allowed it and Syria and Iran are funding it. Spain, Russian and China are siding with the terrorists.
Let the politicians talk, but let the warriors continue to TOTALLY eliminate the proven threats, until the terrorists agree not just to stop, but to to surrender and dismantle.
Diplomacy/discussion is essential and should continue, but it has failed and lives remain in danger of unprovoked attacks resulting from proven plotting. The source of the threats have proven they cannot be subdued. They must be eliminiated.
The press has shown that they are not with us, not concerned about our protection. Those who are not with us must be neutralized — whatever it takes. It is a matter of national security.

I noticed the MSM keeps talking today about Israeli “incursions” into Lebanon. I don’t ever recall them using loaded terms like “incursions” or “massing at the border,” etc. to describe suicide bombers, Hezbollah, Syrian agents, Iranian agents, terrorists, etc. when they are entering Israel or Iraq.
By the way, there is an excellent commentary by Victor Davis Hanson on the subject of the Israeli war against the terrorists in the Washington Times today. I hope he is right about the West’s patience running thin with the Middle Eastern Muslims.

“Almost all leakers are lawyers” – Howell Raines, formerly with the NYT
He has a new book out and by promoting it was asked yesterday about the leakers. He refused commentary but then leaked the, above, statement.

I noted several days ago that the BBC reporters may occasionally have a different perspective, it just doesn’t get on the BBC.
From Israellycool, scroll down to 7/20/06, 2:28pm.

after watching days of MSM coverage of israels response to hizbolluh I find it disturbing that there has been little or no mention of WHO hizbolluh is while maintaining the nonstop coverage israels “over reaction”
not a mention of the hijackings, kidnappings embassy and barracks bombings. how typical to make the murderers the “victims” when someone FINALLY calls them to task

Amazing how clean that laundry is that was left out because the residents left is such a hurry before the bombing. You’d think there would be a bit of dust and dirt on those close, perhaps even torn, burned or blown off the clothes line.
I wonder what kind of laundry detergent they use – it would be great to wash my son’s football jersey in. Could someone in the BBC find out for me? Thanks.
